Find the Cheap Yufu Hotels

What a lovely place to have a retreat. It's away from the crowd but near the yufuin station....about 500 m. They don't have many rooms so it's quiet. Just outside the hotel is Lawson. Restaurants are also nearby. The hotel looks like a resort with beautiful landscaping. Staff is hospitable and although some don't speak very good English, they try their best. They allow us to keep our luggage at the lobby before check-in and after checkout. The hotel is simply generous with free drinks almost throughout the day and night, free usage of bicycles , beer and instant noodles are sold at a cheap price. It's a self contained hotel. Everything is there. The 4 private onsens are great. Rooms are clean but a bit cramped and it would be good if they have more hangers to hang clothes. A mirror on the wall would be better than a small table mirror. If you're not a cat lover, you might not be impressed when you see their cats walking on the food tables and sitting on the sofas. The small details like a note welcoming you and a photo of you at the end of the stay are why I would love to come back again.

I stayed for two days. The hotel is on the mountain, but there is a car that can take me to and from the station. The hotel service is very good. Knowing that there are children, they have prepared bathrobes and toothbrushing supplies for the children. The room has a private bath, and I often soaked in the hot spring during my two-day stay. It was so comfortable. In addition, my favorite meal is the Wagyu beef on the first night and the shabu shabu on the second night. The breakfast is different on both days. I look forward to meal time every day. Some of the staff can speak Mandarin or Cantonese, and they are very nice and attentive to help. It is a hotel worth recommending.

Location - A bit far away from the Yufuin JR station, driving is recommended. Within walking distance of Kinrinko and Stained Glass Museum is a plus. Cleanliness - Clean room and common bath area. Service - Per booking confirmation check-in time is 1500-1900. Front desk staff was already gone when I arrived at around 1815. Took longer then expected for doing self check-in as the reservation number I have is different from what it is in the system, and the staff over phone barely speaks English so I have to use my broken Japanese to communicate. Facilities - Cannot ask for more for such a price. Free bicycle rental service is great for non-driving guess to travel around Yufuin.

A great place for one stay and two meals 😬 The hostess was very welcoming and the roast beef for dinner was very delicious. We didn’t understand Japanese but she was still very patient and used the translation tool to explain the different parts of the beef to ensure that the guests chose the desired parts. For example, Wagyu beef has fat and heel. Thin and so on. There is an outdoor and private open-air bath, which is very suitable for family guests. And there is a parking space right outside the door, which is very convenient. Highly recommended👍

[Hot spring] The open-air bath that can be used as a day trip bath is a beautiful blue bath, and the mountain scenery seen from there was magnificent and wonderful, but the children of day trip guests rode on the rocky area in the bath. Because I faced it to stand from there, I ran away with the body of crawl 々 and enjoyed the hot spring. Also, the time when day trip hot water is available is quite crowded, so I think guests should avoid it. When I went the next morning, it was very vacant and I was able to enjoy the view of the mountains in the morning slowly. The semi open-air bath in the room was dark, so I couldn't see if it was blue hot water, but it was good with a lot of sulfur smell. [Meals] I was surprised at the amount of soup stock rice (quite delicious) for breakfast. Overall the taste is not bad, but those who want to eat gorgeous food may not be enough for the meal here. [Room] Although everything is far away, be careful because if you choose a place far from the reception, it will be difficult to go to the large communal bath at the end of the stone steps or to go with geta. The building was old, but there was no shortage of furnishings, and it was too much to stay with two people.

The health is OK. It is necessary to make an appointment and only one hour to soak. The store's service attitude is very good, because there is no elevator. The store picks up the luggage on the third floor. When checking out, there are also helpers to carry the luggage down, and stand at the door to personally send the guests away. The service attitude is very good. I woke up in the morning and saw that the surrounding scenery was good. There was a mountain and farmland behind it. The air was fresh and very comfortable.

The staff who guided me when I checked in were so friendly that I felt very good from the beginning. The old-fashioned rooms were more elegant and nice than I expected. Amenities were carefully prepared according to the age of men and women, and the cleaning was perfect. The open-air hot spring was better than I saw in the photo, and milk, coffee milk, bottled water and towels were well prepared, so I used it comfortably. I remember not enjoying kaiseki dishes in other hotels before because I couldn't eat flying or fishy food. But the kaiseki dishes in Nihon no Asitaba were very delicious In particular, the kids menu prepared for a 9-year-old was so delicious and generous that the child ate two bowls of rice. Every time you serve the dishes, the staff who explained hard in Korean such as ”this is a sardine, this is an eel” etc. They were very attentive throughout the meal and were very kind. Although the hardware is also very good, all the staff I met in Nihon no asitaba are really kind and warm, so it seems that it was a happier trip. If you go to Yufuin, you must go back to Nihon no asitaba I'm going to stay.

It's close to Yufuin Bus Terminal. It's a 5-minute walk with a carrier. Early check-in is not possible, but you can leave your luggage next to the front desk on the 1st floor. We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor, and there are places where you can use a microwave and drinking water, and a steam room with a refrigerator on the 3rd and 2nd floors, respectively. There are also public restrooms on each floor. We paid a separate hot spring usage tax of 250 yen per person and made a reservation and used it. You can use the hot spring once per night, and I wanted to make a reservation for the next morning when I checked in, but they didn't do it well. They said that you can only make a second reservation if everyone else checked in and made a reservation. We made a reservation for the hot spring late in the evening the next morning. However, I think we could have used it even without a reservation. There were no people who had made reservations for the hot spring in the morning. Since we reserved a large room, it was spacious and comfortable. The mountain view was also nice. Reserving the hot spring was easy and convenient. However, it was a bit burdensome to go up the stairs with our carrier to the 3rd floor room ^^;; We had a great time and rested well.
