Our ryokanl booking came with sukiyaki dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the dinner very much but had to skip the breakfast due to our tight schedule. The ryokan had a cosy atmosphere, almost as if like we were staying at a good friend's house. There were a few cute and friendly cats which were mostly hanging around the courtyard and reception area. Nice onsen private onsen baths.
Wished that the ryokan had provided luggage stands for us to put our luggages instead of us having to place our luggages on the floor and on the sofa.

The waiter at the hot spring hotel is very attentive. After arriving at the hotel, the waiter will lead you to the room where you are staying. The waiter will explain the hotel facilities in detail, including the opening hours of the outdoor hot spring, meal arrangements, etc. Bob, the waiter who received us, spoke very fluent English, was attentive to arrangements, and had a friendly smile, which made people feel very relaxed and natural. The waiters here understand Mandarin and have no problem communicating. The room I booked this time is equipped with an independent bath, which is semi-open-air. You can see the outdoor scenery. The water quality and temperature are very good, and it feels very good. In addition to enjoying the hot spring in my room, I also soaked in the public hot spring in the hotel. There is an outdoor and an indoor hot spring. There are time limits. Although the hot spring is not too big and can accommodate 6 people each, there was no one during the time I soaked. Maybe Let’s all enjoy the bath in the room. However, I recommend that you book a room with an independent hot spring bath, because you can soak in the hot spring at any time. There are not many rooms here, and they are highly private, so you can enjoy a peaceful a**osphere. I booked a stay with two meals. This meal is mainly fish. In addition to raw fish and grilled fish, friends who like to eat fish should not miss it.

One of the most favorite hotels in Kyushu, Yufuin is really small. You can walk to the hotel in less than ten minutes from the station to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful along the way!
It is 6 square meters. Actually, it feels quite big. The service of the old lady is very good. Although the language is not clear, she can also feel her enthusiasm!
The uncle in the shop even made a gesture of adding English and Japanese to book us a private soup for the evening! Enjoyed two different private soups in the evening and the next morning. After checking out, it’s great to walk around the area! If you come again, I will choose to live here!

This is the failure of the blind hotel selection for this trip to Japan. . In fact, there are many other hotel options in the town. Fortunately, the surrounding environment heals and does not affect the overall travel mood.
The so-called private bath is as small as a single bathtub, and the only outdoor hot spring time is very short. I didn't know that the scheduled dinner was not in the hotel until I arrived. I needed to take a car, and I didn't explain it in advance. It is very similar to a simple ABB standard hotel, which is very different from the expected hot spring hotel. It is also far from the station. The advantage is that it is very close to Jinlin Lake. Get up early and go for a walk. The environment of the town is so beautiful
The attitude of the service staff is very good. After 9 o'clock, they get off work and ask for self service. At this price, I can't complain, and I won't choose it next time

I was worried because I had to make a reservation in a hurry, but when I actually got there, it was so, so, so good
I had been to Yufuin Ryokan once before, so I thought it would be similar this time, but wow... this place was so good
Honestly, it was the best accommodation I've ever stayed in in Japan
The building itself is like a mansion, and the interior is decorated in an old-fashioned way, so it had a great atmosphere and matched well with the forest in the back
The room was wider than I thought, and the bathroom was very clean!
There were public and private hot springs
You can reserve a 40-minute usage time per day for the private ones when you check in
The public hot springs were spacious, with one indoor and two outdoor ones, and there weren't many people, so it was comfortable to use
The private ones were also great, needless to say. I stayed for two days and had dinner twice and breakfast twice. The food was served like a course and was so delicious that it rivaled any good restaurant. The menu seemed to change a little bit every day. I ate hotel food and went out to eat in the city, but I missed hotel food so much. The staff were so kind that I was embarrassed.
Every time I went out, they asked me if I could call a taxi for them. and asked
More than anything, we were sitting on the sofa, but when he talked about checking out, he got down on the floor and knelt down, so I was really surprised..
I felt like a third-generation chaebol daughter.
He understood English well, and if communication became difficult, he used a translator perfectly.
If you make a hotel reservation, I recommend leaving your luggage and walking to the city.
Maybe it's because it's a quiet countryside, but the road was pretty and nice.
A few fat cats jumped out nearby and were cute, which was nice. ㅎㅎ
The air was really good, and it was just the best place I've ever been on a trip.
Even if there are few reviews and there are still rooms left, trust me.. Close your eyes and make a reservation..,, It's a hotel you'll regret missing.
The only regret is that there's no pick-up service?
But when you actually go, it's so good that you won't even feel it's a disadvantage.

The room is very old, the bathroom and toilet are separated, and the bathroom has no mirror. The bathroom and toilet are very high. It takes a pedal to enter. The hot spring is located underground. The health is OK. It is necessary to make an appointment and only one hour to soak. The store's service attitude is very good, because there is no elevator. The store picks up the luggage on the third floor. When checking out, there are also helpers to carry the luggage down, and stand at the door to personally send the guests away. The service attitude is very good. I woke up in the morning and saw that the surrounding scenery was good. There was a mountain and farmland behind it. The air was fresh and very comfortable.

Service is good, enthusiastic, and full of details. They really care about the guests
Hotel facilities are very good. It can be seen that the owner is a person of taste
Breakfast and dinner are rich and delicious
It makes people feel very relieved. It is a place for rest and sleep
Will go again

This onsen hotel offers traditional architecture and a private hot spring in the room. While the location is slightly far from the town center, taxi services from the station make it convenient.
The staff are welcoming and helpful, even without English, adding a warm, family-owned touch. Rooms are clean, spacious, and feature authentic Japanese-style tatami flooring and futon bedding.
The private onsen is the highlight, providing a peaceful retreat. However, no meals are offered, so guests need to plan for dining outside or self-catering.
A great choice for a tranquil and unique stay!

贝贝贝贝The staff is very responsible, serious and enthusiastic
All kinds of details are well controlled, from the check-in lead to the last departure, the same staff is responsible for our stay
The room has a private soup, and I also went to the public soup outside. The designs are very relaxing.
One berth and two meals, the food standard is very high, the meal is in a special dining area, the room has two floors, the tatami can be laid upstairs, there are also two single beds, quiet and quiet
It takes 15 minutes to walk to the station, and it is easy to arrive with luggage. There is a car to leave.

AAnonymous UserVery satisfied! First of all, the location is excellent, very close to the lake and street and the art gallery. The room window is full of mountains and countryside, and the taxi to the station is only 600 coins; secondly, the outdoor private soup is very beautiful, thanks to the Ctrip housekeeper for helping us to reserve the private soup in advance; then the dinner is really great, especially the wagyu hot pot, which amazed us in one bite; the service attitude is very good, the emotional value is full, the house is a bit old, but very clean, in short, it deserves a high score.

GGuest UserIt takes about 15 minutes to walk to Yufuin Bus Station. It was difficult to move with a carrier. There were many traffic lights on the way and the car passed right next to me, so it was difficult with a carrier. ㅠㅠ But Yufuin-tei's bedding was clean and it was nice that there was a private hot spring. There were hardly any people in the hot spring, so it was very convenient to use. There was a smoking area at the check-in area, so it smelled a bit of cigarette smoke. The service was friendly, but it was a shame that there were no Korean-speaking staff. There was nothing to eat for dinner except steak. The breakfast was very delicious.

GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
66617The hotel is very beautiful, the room is also very big, and I booked a private bath, which is really enjoyable. The most surprising thing is the dinner. I thought it was just a set meal, but it turned out to be very rich, similar to Kaiseki cuisine, with not only various sashimi but also small hot pot, Wagyu barbecue, desserts, etc. I was really full at the end of the meal, and I felt that the room price was instantly halved. Haha. The Japanese breakfast the next day was also very good.
Disadvantages: The transportation and life around the hotel are really inconvenient, and you can only choose hotel dining. There is not even a convenience store at the door. The hotel waiters are a bit short of staff and there is often no one at the front desk. The heating facilities in the lobby are open flames. Although you can't touch the fire inside, the shelves outside are hot, and children are prone to accidental injuries. This is especially important.
Our room with a private bath is on the third floor, there is no elevator, and you need to carry your luggage up the mountain by yourself. If there is no man with you, it will be really tiring.
This hotel has about 30 rooms, which is relatively large in Yufuin. The location is a distance away from Yufuin Railway Station. If you have a lot of luggage, it is recommended to take a taxi. We walked for about 20+ minutes to get there, mainly because the suitcases are not easy to push on the way up the mountain.

GGuest UserLocation is very nice, except there's a gravel road before reaching the hotel. It's around 10min drive from downtown so it's close enough.
Hotel is old but quite authentic and highend. There's a nice bridge you need to cross before going to the main hotel area. There are 2 private onsen you can just walk in, they are right next to the river, very nice experience.
there are some bugs around so i wouldn't say it's all clean, but you are next to the mountain so i guess cant expect too much.
worst thing is i did not notice my booking which is $400 usd, did not include dinner and breakfast, which is very standard for a onsen ryokan. I had go out and buy my own food when i expected to be in a yukata and eating nice hotel food.

YYuenThe location is not close to Yufuin Station, which is more convenient for self-drivers. There are ample parking spaces and free parking. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the nearby supermarket, but
It is a hotel with a sense of history but very clean. There is an additional fee of about $2xx Hong Kong dollars for children to stay. In addition, children's toothbrushes cost another 500 yen. I am speechless...but the dinner set menu is good and you can eat until you are full!

SSame Raksa DangIt sounds like you had an amazing experience at that hostel! Here's a slightly polished version of your review:
If you're looking for a budget-friendly hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. The owner couple is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home right away. I was greeted by a new roommate and the owner even took us on a night tour to Kinrin Lake and Floral Village, which was such a lovely surprise. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the couple’s romantic gesture of singing a beautiful thank-you song before you leave just adds a special touch. Their voices are stunning, and it truly makes you want to return

GGuest UserIt was a very happy family trip. I made a reservation for a family bath in the morning, but I overslept and couldn't use it, but I'm still satisfied. My baby ate the welcome cookie well, so I bought it and left it behind, but I was so sorry and grateful that they kindly took me to the train station. Thank you for giving me good memories.
