Yufuin Ryokan Hikari No Ie

The entire accommodation environment is very nostalgic, the room is very clean, the location is very good for self-driving tours, and the parking lot is free! It’s also very convenient to get to nearby attractions! You have 55 minutes of private time to soak in the hot springs, which is definitely a very friendly thing for us who are not used to public baths! Note that there is no elevator, but the boss will help carry your luggage, and the service is great! I will choose to stay here again next time!

Although the location is some distance from Yufuin Station, the environment is very comfortable and it is a very Japanese-style accommodation. There is about an hour of private hot spring bathing time in the evening. This arrangement is too friendly for people who don’t like public hot spring bathing! The owner and proprietress of the B&B are also very kind. They will explain all the facilities and arrangements clearly when checking in, and will also give us a printed hand-drawn map of the surrounding restaurants for our reference. They are really considerate and warm. He will also take us on a short tour of the shared areas of the B&B. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use their tea room this time. I really like the small message book in the room. It contains small sharings and feelings written by different guests who have stayed here before. I quietly looked at the stories they wrote. Although I couldn't understand some of them, it was really warm!

Showa-era Japanese-style room with a nice view outside the window, but the location is not close to the main commercial street and requires about a quarter of an hour's walk. Although the room is not big, it has everything you need. The dry and wet areas are separated, and the tatami is quite comfortable. However, the lobby smells like old wood from an old house when you enter. The private bath will give you several reservation time options in advance. There are two pools, indoor and outdoor. The staff are also very enthusiastic. They help carry your luggage to the room and deliver it to the door after check-out. Note that the hotel is closed from 2 to 3 pm, so you need to arrange your time in advance to check out and pick up your luggage.

This was my second accommodation in Yufuin, and although it was cheaper, the service and ryokan facilities were much better! The ryokan had two baths, one indoor and one open-air, and it was nice to be able to go back and forth between the inside and outside. All of the staff were friendly, so I had a pleasant stay from check-in to check-out. Breakfast and coffee were both great! This is a place I want to go again next time. suggestion!! It's a short walk from the station, it's quiet, and the surrounding scenery is very pretty ♡

The staff were really friendly and the accommodation was great! The area around the ryokan has a really secluded rural feel! It was nice that the facilities were clean, and the hot springs were nice too. I was able to use it privately with my family in the evening. Since it was a three-sibling trip, I was able to spend an hour alone with my younger brother and an hour with my younger sister. In the morning, I used it with others like a large public bath. The hot spring is the same as the picture on the website. I use an outdoor bath, but it's quiet, so it's really nice. I took a taxi when I went, and when I checked in, they made a reservation for a taxi for the next day in advance. Since we changed the taxi schedule, please check the reservation very carefully and call us to see if there is a taxi right there the next day. Thank you. The day we went there was no dinner, so he recommended a restaurant. I thought so, but I could hear the sound from the next room to the extent that I knew it was in Korean, even if it wasn't the contents of the conversation. Still, it's so good for the price, I'll recommend it to my friends! The breakfast was pretty and delicious, and I was able to use the tea room for free :)
