Lovely hotel cannot fault

Very expensive for a small room at the top of two flights of stairs. A standard double bed in a reasonable size room but the hotel is tired and in need of some real tlc.

The best experience we had. Hotel was very clean. Full of character and we loved how they decorated the room. Staff were just amazing and looked after us at dinner table and breakfast time. The food was amazing too. They were very nice people and we enjoyed our stay. The only downsudr was the parking place, we barely could find a space but it was bank holiday weekend so understandable. Overall one of the best experience of staying at a hotel.

It was just fine.

The room is quite old, and it's very old (it depends on different people's understanding, some people may like the sense of age). The hygiene is average, and I always accidentally get long white hair stuck on it (we have black hair). The small courtyard is very stylish, and the service is also very good. The efficiency is low, but there is no problem.

The room is still very satisfactory, it is worth recommending, the service is quite enthusiastic, but the parking fee is too expensive

The bed is big and nice

Probably Yorks Best Hotel Minutes from York city centre I just had another wonderful stay this time I had one of the fabulous court yard rooms very spacious room good comfortable bed and bedding a nice bathroom Breakfast was very good indeed the continental self service the English ( Yorkshire ) ordered and brought to the table Lovely attentive staff and wonderful reception staff Yes yet another very enjoyable stay.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Due to disability, we need an accessible room with en-suite wet room, and this is exactly what we had. I could put my mobility scooter on charge in the room, and there was still plenty of room to move around. The wet room was perfect, with grab rails beside the toilet. The toilet itself was not too low. The power shower was fantastic, the water powerful enough to ease my joints, especially my spine. I found I actually didn't need to take so many painkillers after my morning shower. A shower seat was also provided, so no trying to stand. The breakfast choice was HUGE, so much to choose from. Tea and coffee a-plenty. The afternoon tea delicious and the evening meals also, and again, so much choice, with all tastes catered for. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We think of all the staff at The York Pavilion as our family now. The bed in our room was just the right height for me, and once in bed, the mattress was firm enough to support my joints which lessened the pain and, again, I did not need so many painkillers. There was absolutely no problem with my friend using his CPAP machine at night. (Without it he would be dead by morning). The "Welcome" card and the box of chocolates in our room was a lovely thoughtful touch. We were given a parking space close to our room, which was lovely. We have a WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) and this space was reserved for us and coned off for us on the day of our arrival. I cannot recommend The York Pavilion Hotel more highly. We were so sad to leave, and are already counting down the days until we return next summer.

From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt very welcome. Our room was beautiful, with a lovely 4 poster bed and a huge bathroom with a lovely deep bath, just what was needed after a very long day! We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, we were waited on by Tallulah, who was lovely and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, a credit to your establishment. The hotel is so convenient to York city centre with a bus stop very close to the hotel. Next time we are in York, we will definitely book here again.

We chose the York Pavilion to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was brilliant, food was delicious and the staff were professional, kind, courteous and polite. They couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Just had our wedding here and I’m so pleased we did. Everything we wanted was no problem at all. The food was amazing, the rooms were amazing, the whole day was brilliant. A special mention for Pertunia who guided us through the process so brilliantly, always kept us updated, saw us on the big day and the morning after for coffee and bacon sandwiches! Thank you again York Pavilion. We will be back x
