Appreciate the upgrade by night duty manageress to their newly renovated room, which is spacious, which came with a huge super king-size bed. The photo-taking sessions that were offered free exceeded our expectations. The shots taken were highly professional, tempting us to purchase beyond the free pictures that were allocated to us. My wife was extremely happy with the photos and commented that the pictures taken were remarkable. Thanks again for their great efforts to make our stay memorable. Forgot to mention that breakfast, although it came with limited selection, offered surprisingly good local soup GUILIN NOODLE that surpasses many restaurant standards. An added bonus was the free shuttle service to the dock where the rafting took place and West Street, among other destinations within the vicinity. A gift upon our checkout was another surprise that delighted my wife and kids. On top of all these, the hotel is situated near many attractions.

The staff is really good. The view was amazing, plenty of food options. My friend is a vegetarian and so getting food at the hotel was also really nice to have. The staff at the reception helped us book cabs to the train station and there was hotel cab to the city center and they picked us up when requested as well from there. Would definitely love to come back and highly recommend everyone to come visit.

Surely instagrammable and a very special place. Very kind staff and great service. We were also extremely happy that they offered the taiji class.(or joga depending on the day. It alternates) the looks of the buildings and nature on hotel grounds are spectacular! other things such as breakfast and facilities are great, but expected at a modern 5 star hotel. The rooms in the building where most rooms are is close to the road side and there is barely more than a wooden door blocking the road noise. moreover, the hotel mentioned not being able to arrange e scooters to come to the hotel. They might think its unsafe, but I think this is a lot of fun and at a hotel like this I would think at least they give this option and just make you pay a high price which includes the service of bringing the scooter to the hotel. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I couldn't be more thrilled with my experience. The environment is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning landscapes that make you feel like you're in a serene oasis. The lush gardens and scenic views create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. One of the standout features of my stay was the butler WeChat service, Chad, in particular, was wonderful! He was incredibly responsive and quick to assist with any request I had. Whether it was a simple question or a special need, Chad handled everything with a friendly demeanor and efficiency that truly enhanced my stay. Overall, I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delightful getaway. The combination of a beautiful setting and exceptional staff makes it a perfect choice for relaxation and enjoyment. The hotel is too smelly with the hotpot attached to it making us no appetite all day whole day. At night it was horribly noisy with bar and pub around , Ppl are singing till 11pm and it is at a very noisy location. Do not recommend if you want to relax and recharge

Booking and Check-In I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy. Room Details We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Facilities and Services The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it. Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew. Location and Accessibility The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo. Customer Service The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay. Overall Experience The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness. In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

This Villa is in the perfect spot - right next to Moon Hill and along the main road into Yangshuo. The staff are super helpful, willing to book and check any attractions, cars and scooters, and ensure you know exactly what is happening. The WeChat service was excellent as you could translate messages. They also used this to personalise the services on offer. There were daily reminders and announcements as to food and weather. One of the main reasons for booking this villa was the hot tubs - each room comes with your own, serviced, private 'bubble pool'. The bed was very comfortable an the room spacious. I HIGHLY recommend this Villa for your trip to the beautiful Yangshuo.

Zen Garden was our most remote hotel during our China tour. The location is undeniably beautiful, offering stunning views of the hills and mountains. However, despite receiving an upgrade after the first night, we found the price-quality ratio unsatisfactory. We paid the same amount for our stay in a five-star hotel the following day in Nanjing, which provided a significantly better room and breakfast. Since its opening in 2017, the hotel appears to have undergone little to no maintenance. There is noticeable wear and tear on the building, and the toilet emitted a strong sewage odor, which was quite unpleasant. Communication was a challenge as Cindy was the only staff member who spoke English properly. When she wasn't available, it was difficult to communicate in person. Fortunately, the WeChat communication was an excellent alternative and made things easier. On a positive note, the afternoon tea and dinner were quite good, offering healthy and fresh options. Breakfast was very limited and none Western options except an egg and white toast with butter. The complimentary zen shoot was a nice touch, although it was apparent that it was the photographer's first time conducting such a shoot. We were particularly disappointed with the spa. The treatments were much different than expected, lacking the luxury and expertise typically associated with such high prices. Additionally, the cost for two people was almost the same as the room rate, which we found unreasonable. Overall, while Zen Garden's location and some amenities were enjoyable, the lack of maintenance, high prices, and communication difficulties detracted from our experience. With all the new buildings in the same area, there are better options.
