It was close to Yamagata Station, so it was very accessible! They had a welcome drink and a bar where you could make your own drinks, and it was nice to see both adults and children enjoying themselves. For women, they offered five free amenities, including hair oil, packs, and foot relaxation sheets, which was great after walking around! It wasn't big, but there was a bath, and it was really relaxing after walking around Yamadera and Yamagata city! I used the coin laundry because my clothes were in a bad state from sweat, but it was cheaper than other hotels because it was only 100 yen to wash and dry. Since everyone uses it, it gets crowded around 6 and 7pm, and if you leave it, it will be put in a basket, so women should be careful if they wash their underwear! I was very satisfied! The potato stew for breakfast was also delicious!

The toilet in the room is very small, so I always go to the hot spring to take a bath. Staying in the city center is a cost-effective choice. I stayed one night before driving to Zao and found a hotel with hot springs and convenient parking. This one would be a good choice. You can walk to the nearby izakaya, which is mostly visited by locals and the food is very good.
