We absolutely loved this stay and would recommend it to all travellers! We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down. Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find. Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

We have noted that we need to rely on the sea through Trip.com. The downside of the hotel is that it is far from the pier and the airport, a diagonal. If you take the bus to the attractions, it will be very tossing. Many travel notes on the Internet are by bus, and it is more convenient to live in Miyagi-ura Port or Anagawa Port. It is recommended to pack a tour guide and rent a taxi here.

Because it is a detached house, the １ floor and ２ floor can see the sea well with the ocean view, and there is no light around at night, so the stars and moon are beautiful and you can see a lot. All rooms are clean and easy to use. I asked for breakfast later, but it was a great answer. The appearance and taste are the best. The owner was a chef before, so it tastes great. The bath is like a goemon bath, and you can remember the old feeling.

The real ”could be better” thing to me is, the restaurant that close really early (8.30pm if my memory is good), does server only buffet for 80kY. The buffet is of quality mixing Japanese, Chinese and Western styles of food. And also comes with nice desserts. However, having the choice to get only one A la carte dish could be a real plus. I personally do not want to get a full buffet for every and each of my diners. And if you do not have a car, finding another place to eat may become a challenge. There is nothing around at a walking distance except a supermarket. The breakfast is definitely qualitative. And if you intend to move early for visiting, the hotel can prepare you a breakfast and a lunch box for no overcharge. Basic but good and appreciated. To have another plus, they serves a local craft beer made with local cedar trees. Quite a good and interesting one.

It is a private house hotel, which has been in business for some time. Each room can overlook the mountains and the sea in the distance, and there is a sea nearby, which is crossed by a bridge. Hotel facilities are a bit outdated. Every night there is a tweeter in Shanganfang Village to warn you to be vigilant, and the speaker will play music again at 6 o'clock in the morning every day to remind you not to fall asleep. The hotel does not provide catering. The restaurant and restaurant in Guofu Village will solve the problem by themselves, and the price will be lower. Not very satisfied with the accommodation.

Because it was already dark, the hotel couldn't call a taxi for a while, so they arranged for employees to pick us up over 40 minutes long distance, and they didn't charge any fees. I was very touched and I would like to express my gratitude again.
