Hotels near Xishan 1st Alley Market in Xining

Pros: 1) Location right beside train station and bus station. 2) Many eateries around the hotel 3) Room is clean and spacious Cons: 1) No aircon. I know it is cool during summer in Xining as well but i think it is a basic requirement for aircon in a hotel. A fan is provided but i think it is not a welcome sight for a hotel with a fan.

A very nice hotel, just next to Xining Station. It is very convenient to check in when traveling. I have to say that the hotel service is very good. Zhuoma and Xiaoma at the front desk gave a bottle of hot mineral water after check-in. It was so considerate, despite the weather. It was very cold, and it stopped being cold all of a sudden. It must be praised! The breakfast coupon was given in the morning and the souvenir was given after the invoice was issued after leaving the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay.

My daughter and I were stuck in Xining an extra night due to the typhoon in Shanghai and our flight being changed so we decided to treat ourselves by staying at Sofitel. It was well worth the treat. We stayed in a club-level room and everything was excellent. Because it was my birthday the hotel even brought a small cake to our room, which was delicious! We will definitely stay at Sofitel again when we are back in Xining.

The hotel is really nice and the breakfast is good and they have a small gym and laundry self service. They also offer free parking

Because I have stayed at the Yi Hotel in Xi'an, I also chose the Yi Hotel when I went to Xining this time. The hotel is just downstairs from Wangfujing. It is very convenient for transportation and shopping. There is a snack court downstairs, because the housing prices are more expensive during the tourist season, but The hotel has done a lot of value-added services, including drinks and fruits. The service is very warm. I was asked to wear a short-sleeved shirt when I went out at night. The front desk reminded me to bring a jacket as much as possible. The temperature difference is large and the temperature is cooler at night. It is very considerate and likes it!

The hotel is clean and tidy, with convenient transportation and convenient travel. The front desk staff Xiaoqi has a very good attitude. The room facilities are complete and the breakfast is rich. It is worth staying during the trip.

Ms. Yin at the front desk on the 21st floor was enthusiastic and proactive, and took the initiative to help upgrade the room type. She still maintained good service status late at night. Free midnight snacks are still provided late at night, which is warm. Sister Zhao Yaoxiang from the fifth-floor restaurant learned that I was too late to catch the bus and could not dine on site, so she agreed to pack breakfast and be flexible. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station, which is convenient. Good value for money at the same price.

Located in the best possible areas nightlife and convenience, leaving the hotel allows you access to multiple malls, restaurants, and shopping right outside your doorstep. Inside, the hotel was beautiful, plush, and ambient. The staff, while speaking little English, went above and beyond to accommodate and help us all throughout our stay. They brought up free snacks and a bowl of dumpling soup for us, as well as absolutely delicious yogurt made in-house. The breakfast spread was lovely, with a variety of choices including Chinese breakfast, cereal, baked breads, fresh fruit, and coffee and tea. The views from the breakfast restaurants are stunning indeed. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers in a heartbeat and would love to come back!

I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

This hotel has some absolutely great features but overall I would never stay there again. I was initially very impressed with the great service on check in (including no fuss about a foreign passport) and the high tech features of the hotel seemed amazing - you use an an app to open the door and control the room functions such as opening the curtains and turning on the lights. There was also a robot wandering around with no obvious function but had some mad telekinesis skills on show in the lift. So far, great, impressed, 5 stars. However, all of this high tech wizardry was no good when the temperature of the room was like 30 degrees and there was no air con. It was actually a pleasant and cool evening in Xining and walking back to the hotel after dinner I was even partially looking forward to a nice warm duvet. But the room itself would make the Fins sweat. There was no place for duvets in a sauna. We phoned reception about this and they suggested opening the window (a revelation that we'd made independently), however the window in question was about the size of an A4 paper and the draft was about as powerful as an asthmatic playing air saxophone. We asked for a fan and they said they get it sorted but they never did so we had to open the door thereby exposing any other guests to this sight of me starfished in a pool of sweat. Apart from the being hotter than the surface of Venus, the TV also didn't work, or at least it did for about ten minutes before cutting out. Essentially long story short, this hotel was nailing some of the top level stuff but needed a bit of works on the basics. Breakfast was so so. Tea or coffee would have made it better.
