Hotels in Bayi Road Passenger Station Area, Xining

Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance. However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated. Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea. Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

I chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport. The price was also excellent value for money. My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue. I checked in around 7am and was shown my room. It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window, and it also had a freestanding bath. Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels. I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one . This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet. The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive. Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China.. I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away. The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet. I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.

My friends and I booked three rooms for this trip, and the experience was truly amazing! From the moment we checked in, the front desk lady was incredibly welcoming and efficient, offering a smile throughout the entire process. The room was clean and tidy, with great lighting, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. We had a great night's sleep after the journey from low altitude to high altitude. The breakfast was varied and delicious, especially the local snacks, which were a pleasant surprise. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. It was a truly wonderful experience, and I'd stay here again on my return trip. I highly recommend it to everyone!

The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with complete surrounding facilities and convenient transportation. All in all, I was very satisfied with this stay and would highly recommend it to all my traveling friends!

The location is near the train station. If you drive a car, you can park it downstairs, but it’s really hard to find the parking entrance. We did not manage to find it. The hotel service was nice, and they took us to the parking lot later to show us where it is. Otherwise, it’s easy to locate the hotel from outside. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was not working, and the person who could fix it was not there since it was late. Therefore, we connected to the other room’s WiFi but the connection was not good. The bed was a bit short for a tall person.

There are few dining options nearby, and finding a specialty restaurant requires a taxi, making it less than ideal for guests relying on public transportation or those seeking convenient dining options. The check-in process was smooth, but the response to subsequent requests was generally inefficient. The room was spacious, but the amenities were a bit dated. The air conditioning was slow to heat and cool, and noisy, disrupting a good night's rest. The bedding was also a bit firm, making for a less than comfortable night's sleep. For the price, the facilities and service were below expectations. If you're looking for comfort and convenience, you might consider other hotels in the same price range. However, for a more modest stay, this hotel should be able to meet your basic needs. The room was small but clean, but it had a strong odor. The bathroom window was very low, and I bumped my head.

There's no air conditioning, but this was disclosed at the time of booking, and honestly, with the current weather, we didn't need it for a good night's sleep. Plus, the parking lot is huge. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean, with great attention to detail. Environment: The living environment was great, and the area around the hotel is quite peaceful. Being on the 15th floor, I had no trouble getting a good night's rest. Service: Service was excellent – the staff were very welcoming and always happy to help with any questions. We even received a complimentary room upgrade and a free breakfast for our child, which was much appreciated!

I stayed in Xining on my last night in Qinghai. I booked this hotel in advance from Ctrip. This hotel has enhanced my good impression of Qinghai. It is very cost-effective. The price is only over 300 yuan during the May Day holiday. The bedding is very comfortable, the sanitation is very clean, the breakfast is rich and nutritious, and the service attitude is also very good. The day before yesterday, Miss Sister was very good. She upgraded the room and sent us breakfast coupons, but the breakfast was quite unpalatable. There was a Chinese breakfast. Most of them were stir-fried or cold dishes. There were no Qinghai specialties and no pasta. The dumplings and plates and spoons were not very clean. The milk was a sugary flavor. Breakfast was uncomfortable. The room was large and there was no air conditioning. Fortunately, the temperature was not too tortured. It was quiet but the oxygen generator sound was a bit loud. It would not sleep if it was open. The hotel has a parking lot.

The hotel is newly renovated, but I learned from the front desk that it has been open for more than half a year. I thought there would be a smell in the room, so I went to the hotel with the attitude of giving it a try. The result was a different feeling. No matter it is hot or cold outside, you can drink smooth drinking water as soon as you return to the room. The lighting is very good. You can see the local address park when you open the curtains. The scenery and night view are particularly beautiful. I live on the 11th floor. I can appreciate the quietness and beautiful night view of Xining, Qinghai Province at night. In short, I am very satisfied, very satisfied. I had a great time staying with my children and the trip was also very pleasant.
