This is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.

Definitely the worst experience ever for a 4-star hotel.
The one and only good thing about this hotel is the nice and helpful room service lady. The rest are just really unpleasant:
- Unprofessional front desk, rather unfriendly
- Although the hotel claims to accept foreigners, you cannot pay with a normal credit card. Further, the front desk refused to help you with this issue
- Extremely smelly room ( strong smell of smoke and aged room)
- Mini fridge doesn’t work
- Everything’s just borderline moldy

Location: The hotel is in Ximen, close to Shuijingxiang Snack Street and Wangfujing Department Store. It is 10 minutes away from the train station by taxi. It is very convenient to take a taxi or bus when traveling. The location is excellent!
Hotel: The room was upgraded, which was great. I stayed for five nights. The facilities are complete, the sanitary conditions are good, the service attitude is patient and meticulous, and the price-performance ratio of the May Day holiday is also very good~
I will choose this place next time I come, and I recommend staying~
