Boli Yabu Hotel

The location is very good and staff is very friendly and helpful. But too many people smoke there, even in the breakfast room. That was awful for European travelers who are used to non-smoking hotels.

The host keep asking me for my passport despite the fact that I have a permanent residency, I did try very hard to explain that I could fly with my permanent residency but she kept asking for my passport. The breakfast is not worth it, by the time I arrived only bread left not even eggs. The hotel is clean and in good location, but a bit hard to find.

Reception were not well trained . Upon check in day one a deposit was collected and on the same day night they made a call to inform we did not pay the hotel charges and later explained it was reception lapsed that they did not collect upon check in even it states pay at property . 2) chambermaid was brazen to wash our socks without permission and after breakfast we were shocked to see our socks as wet. What if we only have a pair of socks for tourist stay ? 3) after check out multiple phone calls was made to our mobile and was told item teaspoon was missing in the room. And if they cannot find it they will raise a charge on our credit card ??? We called back 5 times to ask n follow-up and wasted 30 Mins of our morning to ask if item was found . We even informed it was on the basin area. Wrong procedure as in general all check out reception staff would contact chambermaid to ask if minibar and items were intact before letting the guest check out . The reception lady were having an aloft attitude and said we could go and we even have to ask for car parking coupon and were directed to fill in the form . This make us beg for service instead and please train your staff to check the items before check out and not making irritating calls and that spoil our rest of the day with 5 international calls made to assist them for a teaspoon costs of CNY20!!! Disgusting service . Please train your staff !!!

slow during check in..receptionist at hotels should be fluent in english..

The hotel is well located within the main shopping district in Xining. The front desk are very friendly and helpful . Special mention must be given to Miss Xiao Yang for her help and excellent service. This hotel is highly recommended if you are in Xining.

The location of the Boli Yabu Hotel is very convenient. There are a lot of shops around. Upon arrival we had a very warm welcome from the receptionist Xiao Yang. She helped us with the check-in and showed us the room. We also got a free upgrade to room with a nice view. The room was very clean and comfortable. We got a free welcome snack and some fruits. We would definitely recommend the hotel and book it again when returning to Xining.
