Family-friendly Hotels in Xining

We arrived early from an overnight train and they checked us in upon arrival. Location is walking distance to train station with lots of food options nearby.

I stayed here for night, having left the higher rated Wanda hotel due to a lack of AC and being unable to sleep all night. The room and bathroom exceeded my expectations for 4 stars and were very close to 5 star standard IMO. The staff allowed me to check the room(and most importantly, AC) before booking, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if returning to Xining.

The hotel is very good and worthy of being under the Blue Ocean Group. Every service staff is very polite, especially Chen at the front desk. Because I placed the order too quickly, I forgot to order breakfast. Chen helped me find a way and sent me a breakfast. It is almost the peak season now, and the hotel is also taking over group tours; but I think their service attitude is very good and impartial, whether it is for individual travelers or groups, which is very good. No matter if there are guests who need to ask questions, they don't look impatient at all. This is really [strong][strong][strong], I will stay there again next time I have the chance.

This is a proper 4 star hotel. The bed is very comfortable. The toiletries are pretty good, the towels are soft and neat. It even includes a bath tub and has a clothes iron. There is a comfortable sofa to lounge on. There is no AC, but Xining is usually cold a d you wouldn't need an AC. The location is great too. Its overlooking the river. The only issues are 1. The breakfast spread is very very limited 2. It's a very old hotel and smells like one If you are okay with the limited breakfast spread and the smell, then this is a great hotel for the price.

I brought my kids to Qinghai to visit relatives and chose this hotel. It was very good. I like heat so I chose a sunny room which was very comfortable. I could also see Nanshan Temple. It was very quiet. The hotel service was also very good. Seeing that we brought kids, they also introduced us to the wildlife park. I will bring my parents here if I have the chance.

I recently stayed at Xining Hot Spring Holiday Hotel and I was very satisfied with my stay. I especially want to write a good review for this hotel. First of all, the hotel's front desk staff was very considerate and gave me a free room upgrade and breakfast. Throughout our stay, the staff maintained a smiling and friendly attitude, always attentive to every guest's needs, whether at the front desk or in the restaurant. Secondly, the hotel's facilities are very complete. The bed in the room was comfortable and soft, giving me a good night's sleep. The shower in the bathroom has strong water flow, making bathing more comfortable. The hotel also provides high-speed and stable wireless network, allowing me to stay in touch with friends and family anytime and anywhere. The hotel's food and beverages are of excellent quality. Breakfast provides a variety of choices, whether it is Chinese or Western dishes, to meet the taste needs of different guests. All in all, it is a hotel worth recommending.

Convenient transportation, high cost performance, I will stay here again next time I come to Xining.

This is really an International Hotel with 5 star standard. Service, amenities and room toiletries is of premium quality except the central aircon is not switched on so the room temperature is at 25°C cannot be adjusted much lower, only can switch to fan full blast but not cold. When I lodge a complaint, the staff says they don't switch the central aircon for month of May but advise to just open the window as it gets cold in the evening. The cold air do come in through the window to keep the room cool.They will switch on the central aircon in month of June and July when it's very hot. Overall I love this hotel as it's next to the railway station and many local street food around the hotel. Highly recommended!

Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance. However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated. Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea. Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.
