Floral Hotel Pushu Wanfenglin Scenic Area

We had a pretty perfect stay here, absolutely amazing! We stayed for seven nights  and it was as good as (if not better than) most 5* hotels! The family are so so friendly. For example one of the owners came to find us (unprompted!) in the local town when it started to rain very heavily, to see whether we wanted a lift home. (He then waited for us to finish our meal before we took him up on the offer. The family also owns 2 great bikes that they allowed us to use every day for free. One of the family speaks very good English, very helpful as the accents in the area are very strong so our Chinese skills were really being tested! They took the time to show us the local market (Tuesday mornings) and show us the brown sugar blocks we’d been eating for breakfast. The swimming pool was really brilliant, always perfectly clean and pretty big so you can actually swim in it rather than just cooling off, and the view is sensational. We booked the more expensive corner room that has balcony views in 2 directions, but it was so worth it. It looks out onto the mountains and also overlooks a very large duck pond/field so were really entertained by watching the ducks go on daily pilgrimages in long lines. :) The owners of this hotel have really thought of all the small details that make your stay so smooth, and are always available if you need any assistance, they even have COLD beers! The breakfast was really good, introducing us to brown sugar soup and giving us yummy noodles and sweetcorn. I did not want to leave this lovely place, and really recommend it to anyone!
