Great hotel and the service is really good from the start. Most of the staff can speak English and they put a lot of effort to ensure that my stay was comfortable so thank you. Breakfast was great the staff were very attentive and the manager greeted all the guest and checked if they had a nice stay. I would of liked to have a welcome drink like a bottle of water just at reception but that’s the only negative.

I booked this hotel last minute and was provided a high floor room with a view. Great location and service. However, the room itself is outdated. The beds were still spring beds and not very comfortable. For a 5 star hotel, i expected more but to be honest, I compared it to some other options and this one was great value for the price in Xiamen.

Excellent location with wonderful views of Gulangyu Island. Check-in was extremely slow - with a queue developing, despite it being past midnight - they also required a large deposit (double the room rate!) which we felt was excessive. Breakfast was so-so, quite a lot of choice but generally not particularly good quality - was bored of the selection by the third morning. Lots of parking which was very convenient. To be aware, there are no USB ports in the room and cannot borrow a charging block, so be sure to bring/buy your own. In-room dining menu had a wide selection and good quality. Rooms were clean and well-kept. We were brought a small gift for Christmas, which was very kind. Overall, the location and views make up for any minor ******* - would highly recommend for a city break in Xiamen.

When planning our trip to Gulangyu I had a clear objective in mind, I wanted to stay at Lee Manor. So we splurged a little and book at this very charming hotel built in 1920. Service is obviously top notch and we appreciated the little details like the pick up at the ferry with a bottle of refreshing tea, the suggestions for our dinner spot, the complimentary (and gorgeous) afternoon tea. I was impressed by the facilities, the building itself is gorgeous and all the decor elements are beautiful and well thought. Not being able to go back home in Europe for more then 15 months, this place reminded us Italy and it was a a soothing feeling for us both. A full Chinese breakfast is included in the price and there is an option of bread for Westerners. For that price I would have expected (and enjoyed) a cup of coffee but unfortunately I was told that the coffee machine was broken. The hotel is superbly located and the rooms are very comfortable with all the amenities. Our room was on the second floor, in the old building. The poor sound insulation could be a problem though for light sleepers (or if your neighbors are noisy). I could clearly hear the conversation the couple had in the room next door so I would suggest bringing earplugs for a better sleep. We loved our stay on the island and at Lee Manor! Thank you very much for the hospitality!

At first I was very impressed upon arrival, nice view with stylish design. However the nightmare was coming in the evening, my room temperature showed 28 degrees. I reported to front desk and they said some customers reported cold, hence they switched off the air conditioning and turned on the heater. We were sweating the whole night….2nd night almost same although no heater but air conditioning still switched off only fan was working…..I complained again on the 3rd day cause my room temperature showed 30 degrees and at the end air conditioning kept remaining and we could have a good sleep finally. I travelled a lot and never facing such situation at any hotel before. I was very surprised about such arrangements as the weather was not that cold during my stay.

The bus station is called Xiamen University West Village, and then you have to follow the navigation and pay attention to the instructions on the wall. The hotel is in a small alley, there is a small street after coming out, facing Xiamen University. There are Shapowei, Nanputuo Temple, Botanical Garden nearby, very close. You can take the bus to the beach for two stops, and you can also go to the Huli Mountain Fort by the sea. From Shapowei, you can go to the roundabout road or the beach. Shapowei snacks are very many, but they are also very commercial. As a northerner, some snacks are not used to eating, so on the small street outside the hotel, there is a curry rice and ramen restaurant, and a Shanghai oyster are good choices.

It was upgraded to the 36th floor. The view is really good. It is facing Gulangyu Island. It looks good during the day and at night. The downstairs is Shapowei. It is also very convenient to eat. It takes only five minutes to walk to Xiamen University. The facilities in the room are complete and relatively new. The only drawback is the lack of things to hang clothes, especially the lack of hooks in the bathroom.

The room decoration is very new. It is the closest to the south gate of Xiamen University. It is a long way to go by the wrong door. The campus is full of small children. The visual inspection has not yet gone to school. I want to say that visiting Xiamen University can understand the parents' expectations? Parents are not paying attention too early. The breakfast was very poor, and the gap with the room rate was huge, that is, there was an ice cream scene. No extra bed, no bedding, just next to Putuo Temple, really separated by a wall.

There was a little episode when I checked in. Fortunately, where did the customer service help coordinate and the boss's insistence, there was no change. The room setting is reasonable, on the whole, but the details are still serious. Washing machine, refrigerator, induction cooker, microwave oven, basic household appliances are all available, and they are also intimately equipped with disposable towels and bath towels. If you want to add a quilt, the boss also helped solve it in time. The sight line is average, it should be north, and you can see Yanwu Road Elementary School downstairs. I live in the north-facing room and I will have rhinitis, so I didn’t sleep well.

I thought it was cheap and not good. I greatly refreshed my three views. I highly recommend it. The room was very satisfied. I took a few professional photos. The sun was really comfortable. The overall decoration of the hotel was very warm. It was my favorite style. You can also see the twin towers outside the window. From Xiamen University, South Putuo and Shapowei are very close, just a walk away, convenient to visit the attractions, the most important thing is that it is really quiet here, very friendly to people who don't sleep well!

The big bed room booked in October last year was quite satisfactory, but the twin room booked this time was generally the same. 1⃣️ The socket is loose. You need to have something below to not slip off. 2⃣️ The toilet flush button is good and bad. I stayed for 4 nights. There were two nights that it couldn't flush the water. I thought about changing the room the next day. The result was better in the morning 3⃣️ Poor sound insulation (but understandable, after all, hotels in this area are almost like this), but our room is located on the top of Xinhuadu Shopping Mall. There are many children in the store on the first floor of the mall chasing and playing at ten o'clock in the evening. It's really noisy (Fortunately, I slept late, It was quiet after 12 o'clock.

Thanks to the landlord Tong brother, the people are very enthusiastic and honest, the itinerary has changed and the room rate has been refunded for two days in advance. It is located in the middle core of Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, Botanical Garden, Cat Street Bell and Drum Cableway, Shapowei, and the Twin Towers. Going out is the Xiamen University and the Twin Towers of Cat Street! Can cook and wash, our family is a guest of Dongying, Shandong, definitely not a trust, next time you come to Xiamen, you will still live here!
