Ibis Styles Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street)

The hotel is very close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. We arrived at night, and Zhongshan Road was right downstairs. It's also about a 10-minute walk to Ba Shi Market. The hotel saw we had two children and upgraded our room for free, likely concerned the two beds might be too small.

We stayed here with our child, and the location was fantastic. It's close to the subway, a large shopping mall, and the pedestrian street, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean, and quiet.

I absolutely love this hotel! The location is fantastic, right inside Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. You step out and immediately have access to all sorts of snacks and shops, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. It saved me so much hassle getting around. My entire stay was delightful, and I'd definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

I checked in around 6 PM. The receptionist, a girl with severe acne, told me that the twin room I booked was only available as a 'head room' (room 601). She said if I couldn't accept it, I could either pay to upgrade or cancel my reservation. Since I had two suitcases and had walked almost 10 minutes from the subway, I was already exhausted, and finding another hotel at that hour would have been too much. So, I reluctantly checked in. The next morning, I discovered that the entire outer wall of the room was leaking, causing the wallpaper to bubble and deform. Water constantly seeped from around the washbasin, dripping into the cabinet below. At the self-service breakfast on the second floor, a huge rat was scurrying between the food and the guests. The staff were completely unconcerned, saying it was normal and that the rats came from the first floor. This was truly the most nightmarish check-in experience ever.

Every time I come to Xiamen, I stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, the environment is good, and it offers great value for money. The hotel has washing machines and dryers, which is perfect for families traveling with children who need to do laundry.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the room service and front desk staff were wonderful. Highly recommended!

The three staff members at the front desk in the morning were all very friendly and provided excellent service! 👍
