The boss sent us a very detailed map, and it was easy to find the location of the store. After arriving at the store, he upgraded our bed for free, gave us a paper map, and helped us carry our luggage. Hahahaha, he told us the breakfast time and the closing time of the gate. We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 in the afternoon. As soon as we walked in, we felt that the service of this store was very good. Every staff member was very enthusiastic, especially Yuanzi and Twelve. They were very nice. They also took us to a very delicious barbecue restaurant. They told me that it was opened by people from Xinjiang and it was really delicious. They also shared the word ”fate” with me. If we didn't come here, we wouldn't meet and become friends. Everything is because of our fate. Then we talked a lot while eating barbecue in the barbecue restaurant, which made us feel that this trip to Xiamen was very worthwhile. They were really super enthusiastic. I strongly recommend it. I will definitely come to Xiamen again next time I have the chance. I am very happy to meet these two good friends Yuanzi and Twelve! ! !

The room was very clean and spacious. Most importantly, the front desk lady was very warm and gentle, with a very nice voice. She also sent us segmented locations to prevent us from going the wrong way. We arrived at the hotel very late, and we were given a free room upgrade and breakfast ❤️❤️❤️
In addition, the hotel is very close to the scenic area. It takes five minutes to walk to Sunlight Rock and seven minutes to walk to Gangzaihou Beach. Shuzhuang Garden is next to the beach, which is very convenient. And the scenery is super beautiful!

It is a small hotel on a single floor (L3) but the room is big. The front desk staff helped me to change to a quieter room for free. This location is near many of the main attractions and there's lots of food downstairs. Minus 1 point for cleanliness as I realised that they did not clean below the beds.

I loved this hotel. It is well designed and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. They have a dedicated wechat that you can contact for help during anytime if the day. It was easy to find, not far from the ferry pier and they sent be directions a day before arriving. The hotel was also near to a beach.
The breakfast was fully vegetarian and it was absolutely delicious and well presented .
The room itself was a little small, and the only issue was the shower was in the middle between the basin and the toilet. However there was an issue with my first room and they upgraded me to a better room. This room was bigger and the shower was bigger and also not in the middle. The room was clean and they provide free drinks .
Due to the covid outbreak in Xiamen I was due to stay here six days but only ended up staying 2 nights as I needed to leave Xiamen . The hotel was kind enough to fully refund me the 4 nights I had booked and this was a major plus on their side.
On check out they gave me some water while I was waiting and it was absolutely delicious.
I would recommend this hotel .

We spend a nice week in this hotel. We decided to spend a bit more for being more comfortable. I can’t say it was a bad staying but it was not as the pictures, the bedroom was small and there were huge water problems( even with spots on the wall). Anyway, although the really central position, the silence and the peace were kept intact, I appreciate!

Allston is a good sized hotel in a great location close to everything for people who like to be outside the hotel exploring than being inside. The rooms was larger than we expected and clean. From our first arrival there, the staff were very helpful and accomodating. It was our first time in China and the staff at Allston did their best to communicate with us even though we didn’t know any mandarin. The security uncle was so friendly and he was hospitable giving us tea on arrival and helped us with our bags and the wifi. Breakfast next day was in a small comfortable room on the 3rd floor with local healthy choices and it suited our tastes. The front desk girl and the lady and guy the next day were both so accomodating holding our bags after check out time guiding us to places we can eat around the place and all around explain things to us through translation apps lots of sign gestures and lots of laughing with guests who knew a little English. We were very happy with our stay in Allston and it was really the people that made it wonderful.

Mr Cheng Li spent a long time to teach me how to download the train app and how to book train tickets. Very kind and patient. Another staff also help me to get a local phone and phone card. Many thanks to all of them.
The only drawback is the location. No convenient shop nearby. No metro. Seafood restaurants are 20mins walk from hotel under the hot sun with no shelter. The Chinese restaurant is Ok but choice rather limited.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with modern amenities that made my stay incredibly relaxing.
The hotel’s location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The staff also kindly gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was delicious and vairous. They change the menu everyday and provide the specialties of Xiamen.
Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Xiamen. Highly recommend!!!

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too.
The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay.
The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself.
Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open.
The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc.
In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

AAnonymous UserWe enjoyed an incredible stay at the Swiss Grand in Xiamen. The location is excellent, offering beautiful views of Gulangyu from the bedroom. It is also within walking distance of Zhongshan Lu where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The 25 metre pool is fantastic. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious! The Chinese restaurant downstairs is absolutely delicious, offering a innovative interpretations of traditional dishes. While the staff are helpful and courteous, there is a lot of room for improvement. In particular, I asked for help to get the ferry schedule and ferry tickets to Gulangyu and was told to go to the ferry terminal.

RRam KondaAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you don’t like local breakfast, then this hotel’s breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

GGuest UserWhen I write a review, I always put in perspective the price I can paying for and it's competitiness in the country.
1. Cleanliness is good. Housekeeper is friendly and accommodating.
2. Hail a car from airport to hotel cost about Sgd5 and less than Sgd5 from hotel to airport for me. Actual will depend on your App and cars you pick.
3. Hotel location is impeccable with the starting point of Zhongshan Road right below the Hotel.
4. Staff is helpful and friendly.
5. Breakfast is decent for the price. The range is not extensive, but one has to look at the price you are paying for. Coffee maker at Libby makes freshly brewed coffee.
6. There is a little gym for simple workout.
Overall, it is a satisfactory experience and I have no complaints.

GGuest UserFirst of all this is NOT a HOLIDAY INN, indeed the hotel's name is SEP HOLIDAY. However on DIDI and Trip.Com it is listed as HOLIDAY INN. The real HOLIDAY INN is located about 200metres away. So please do not book this hotel if you are looking for a real holiday inn (IHG hotel). Having said that, this hotel does not need to call itself a HOLIDAY INN for you to consider it. We stayed here for seven(7) nights and will stay here again as it is very convenient, clean, provides a decent buffet local breakfast and is in a good location near bus station (50metres away), Metro Line 2 (Cruise Centre station) is across the road 300M away (there is a proper overhead walkway to cross the road, no escalators though) and you can walk to the gulanyu ferry terminal and sea world. It is also on the same side of the road as the start of the Mountain to the Sea Walking trail which is about 500metres away. Short, since the trail itself is 23km. The rooms are decent size (We got a corner unit room 8403 on the 4th floor), attached bathroom with all the amenities for 2 persons with hot shower and cold air conditioning with free cable tv and wifi and lots of power points. It doesnt have a fridge but none was needed. No swimming pool and really a too tiny gym with just a bit of free weights here and there. So don't bother packing your gym or swimming stuff. But if you are looking for a value for money decent and clean place to sleep and to have a cooked breakfast before going out out and about xiamen city for sightseeing, then this hotel is highly recommended. Just forget about the HOLIDAY INN part!

We were especially impressed by friendly Stella and Gary for their excellent and meticulous recommendations of sightseeing and food etc. Always ready to take their time to explain in details every queries we had. Saved us a whole lot of research and headaches, we overall had an enjoyable and unforgettable stay in Xiamen! Kudos to your service staff!
Hotel is at a great location right next to Zhong Shan Rd Pedestrian Shopping street… lots of great restaurants and shopping very pleasant safe experience with lots of security guards around. Just eat at places with price menu and shop at places with fixed prices, you will go no wrong!

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
