Hotels near Great Goddess Square in Xiamen

The hotel's location and surrounding environment are very good. It is right in Bailuzhou Park. There is a square in the park where you can feed pigeons. The hotel has a bit of an old-fashioned feel. I booked a Yijing King Room. It has all the necessary facilities, is clean and sanitary, the staff is warm and friendly, and there are many breakfast options. There are aunties doing square dance near the park, which will stop around 9pm. It's not a big deal for people who sleep late. Compared with the surrounding hotels, this one has a relatively high overall cost performance.

All I can say is this: next time I come to Xiamen, Jin Yan will be my first choice. If I meet relatives, friends or business guests, I strongly recommend choosing Jinyan. Because there is no way! There is really no way! On the last day of a trip, I thought I would make do with one night and take advantage of the free airport bus. I really didn’t expect it and I regret it! I regret not checking in earlier! I can't imagine any other hotel that can provide more perfect nanny-level services than Jin Yan! I must mention my thanks to Xiaolan, the butler whom the hotel ”rewarded” to me. She gave me extremely thoughtful, meticulous and even warm ”care” throughout my entire stay from check-in to check-out! I can't imagine that other hotels can be so generous in giving so many gifts and surprises to their guests. Looking back, I still wonder if this industry is too complicated and there must be such a big investment, but all the staff are so kind. Seeing a smile that comes from the heart and sincerely makes me feel that it is a sense of faith! That is a spirit! ”Legend has it” that Jin Yan will see many Xiamen Airlines stewardesses. Although I have some small expectations, I still know that I haven't seen many good-looking stewardesses in the past ten years. Who would have thought! The staff at various positions at Jin Yan are all handsome men and beauties! I must praise my strong willpower for not picking up the camera to secretly take pictures... The last thing that needs to be praised is Jin Yan’s breakfast. Even though it is rich in variety, the taste simply breaks my stereotype of Hujian Province’s food desert! The location is next to the Yundang Lake. You can walk 30 meters from the hotel to the lake. The tree house is very unique. It is a fully enclosed wooden house. There is a spiral staircase indoors to the living floor. There is a see-through glass, just like living in a tree. The sink, toilet, and shower room are independent of each other, with a separate wall for hanging clothes. The bed is tatami style, and the wooden platform beside the bed can be sat or lay down. Equipped with a water boiler, which can produce hot water in real time. The overall space is not large, and there is limited place to move around and stay. It is very quiet indoors, but there is no bed facing the outdoors. The public space downstairs is simply decorated with flowers. The breakfast is OK, but it is not recommended to buy it separately, the price is expensive. There is a washing machine, drying area, and dryer, which is very convenient. The staff is friendly and efficient.

We booked a 3-night stay here, and one of the main reasons was the indoor pool. Unfortunately this was out of service for the duration of our stay, something which might be worth mentioning on their website/beforehand (I was only told when I asked the receptionist after checking-in). The room itself was fine and a decent size (we almost had a little bit of view from the lake) except for the fact that it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy, especially at night. Even more surprising as it was pretty cool temperature wise when we were there. We tried opening the window but there wasn’t enough breeze and the mosquitos. The AC did not work seem to work, reception was notified and we were told a repairman would look at it. There seemed to be slight improvement in the second night but by the final night it seemed to have become as hot and as stuffy as the first (not sure how they would manage in the hot summer if it is like this in winter). Hopefully this will be addressed or it was only an issue with our room. The location is very good, next to a park and by the lake, less than a ten-minute walk from Hubin Middle Road subway station (take exit 2) or a short taxi drive to most places in town. You can also borrow umbrellas from the hotel, handy as it was raining for the majority of our staying. The hotel will also ask for a 1000 rmb deposit on arrival which should be returned to you after you check-out.

The hotel’s staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager,Vincent was patiently listened and solved our questions. My husband and I stayed at the seventh floor and they’ve provided afternoon tea for the executive floor members. The executive lounge was super clean,quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea. If there is one thing I can suggest, I will strongly suggest to change the guest room carpet and update the hair dryer. 马可波罗酒店的前台以及其他工作人员的服务态度都非常温馨贴切。酒店经理，Vincent耐心的帮我们解决问题。八楼层的行政楼下午茶，点心虽然不多但很精致，很开心享受下午茶时光。酒店客房若能换新地毯以及吹风机，会是厦门最高级的酒店之一,因为它的地理位置优越，闹中取静，俯瞰湖景…….

Some rooms smell badly of sigarette smoke. And need to say that for that price rooms are a bit old and need some renovation. On the other hand staff is rather helpful and polite.

Overall the hotel has great service and good hygiene. Was surprised to see they even has Xmas decorations. The only minor thing is the mattress in the room is very soft which makes it diffficult for someone with some backbone problem.

Hotel served hot drinks at the main hall which is very thoughtful as the weather is very cold. Hotel location near to train station - 2 stop to zhong shan walking street. Surrounding have many eatery. negative : Front desk staff which is not friendly and seem unfamiliar with the area. As we are international tourist, don't have local phone number to connect wifi in the room, thus need to get IT guy to help install it. IT guy attitude also very very rude.

Service: I booked a room for traveling in Xiamen and chose a room with a window. The service of the front desk guy was very good. I checked in quickly and also gave Xiamen specialty snacks. Because I had to work on my last day, I was given a free late check-out. Hygiene: Cleaned every day Environment: It is relatively close to various scenic spots and can be reached quickly by taking a taxi. fully equipped I will choose this hotel next time I travel.

Great value for money! First of all, the location is convenient. You can walk to Xiamen Subway Station, Railway Station, and BRT in about eight minutes. Opposite the store is Jinpang Park. There is also Robertson Shopping Mall nearby, with everything you need. There is a supermarket nearby downstairs. Duoshishi has a suitable one. The reception at the front desk is normal, and a deposit is required. There is a free min bar for the first time you stay, free coffee and cookies on the second floor, and a free laundry room, first come first served! The room is considered five stars, and the cleanliness is okay! The shortcomings of the beauty are that there is no space, the air conditioner cannot be adjusted, and it is always 24-25 degrees, which is very uncomfortable! However, the body’s physical sensation is 26-27. It affects the quality of sleep. If it can be improved, it will be 100% perfect!
