Small hotel with a good breakfast. Very good location because it was very close to the main square.

Buon Albergo .

I was looking forward very much to my second visit to Wroclaw, after a lovely short visit in 2018. I liked this hotel so much, I rebooked it. I am very pleased that I did. So, what's to like: it's off the beaten track on a very quiet street, but it is within minutes of the Rynek, the beating heart of the Wroclaw visitor experience. It is an hotel converted not too long ago from what was a hospital - cue wide spacious corridors, an expansive foyer and generous rooms. In addition, vitally, it is spotless, clinically clean and it is quiet. And it i comfortable without being in the least luxurious, but happily, it avoids being one of the thousands of cookie-cutter mid-price hotels. Much in its favour. And it attunes perfectly to the mood of this city. There is never a need to book anywhere else in Wroclaw.

The room we have doesn’t look at all like the photos on trip advisor. We asked for extra pillows at 3pm, at 8pm she said 10 minutes. Then she came back with, she doesn’t have the key to the room with pillows. At 3 she said she called housekeeping… The entrance is through the alley, next to the garbage cans. Awful

Quite simply the most obnoxious, inept, rude, unprofessional reception staff I've encountered in 50 years of travel. I specifically stated that I needed the private parking on the online booking form, and received a phone call from the hotel asking if I needed an invoice. The person who called did not say their off-street parking lot was fully booked, choosing instead to wait until we arrived at reception to give over the information. Claimed to have sent a message; no evidence of any such message. Asked for the manager and was told there wasn't one; and that if i wasnt happy they would cancel the reservation; asked for the names of the two 'receptionists' who thought it was funny, only to be further disrespected. I would rather sleep in a cave full of flea-ridden rats than ever stay at the abysmal Hotel Dikul.

It left a sour taste! Liked · It is a lovely building, which has been beautifully restored. The location is good and the area quiet. Disliked · The reception upon arrival was chilly to say the least. We were given a printed lengthy list of the rules of the place. .....no parties in room etc. this was a first for us and very offputting! Dikul is not a hotel! There is no room service, no fresh towels, no maintenance of soap levels etc. no room cleaning. It can be arranged for a separate payment! We booked breakfast for the four nights that we were there. When we arrived we were told that breakfast was 10 minutes away in the Hotel Jazz. We normally like to return to our room after breakfast to clean teeth, dress warmly etc. so we were not crazy about this. However, on day one we headed to the Jazz hotel to a very basic breakfast. That evening we returned the remaining three dockets to reception and asked that we be refunded for the following three breakfasts. I also emailed my request to the ‘hotel’. The man at reception Said that he was unable to do this but if we called to reception in the morning the person ‘in charge’ could sort it. We returned and spoke to a very sweet girl who was out of her depth with our request but said she would speak to her manager. We returned twice next day but again were told that the manager was dealing with it. The day we checked out we were told that this person was on holidays!! There has still been no reply to my email!!! We would not return to this hotel and would actively discourage others from staying here!!

Great location, large clean rooms and bathroom with shower (soap/shampoo gel provided ) also excellent breakfast for a good price provided at nearby jazz hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Just 5 minutes walk from the main squares with the fabulous Christmas market . A good solid 3 star option.

Former hospital, the bathrooms have remained the same, smell of sewage, rotten pillows, very uncomfortable mattress, stained and holey sheets, dust, dirt and cobwebs everywhere! Completely zero problem solving, no one helped me solve the problems, in fact the girls at the reception treated me very badly! not even the manager "zuzanne" whose email they gave me at reception to get me out of the way never responded. Not even Booking customer service solved my problems. There isn't even a medical kit in the hotel and to get a thermometer they told me to make do at the pharmacy. There is no shower gel in the bathroom but you are notified of this only two days in advance by email. There is no change of sheets, cleaning or towels service. Nobody's coming! You are abandoned to yourself!!! The air conditioner is very dirty and I had a huge allergy and had to take antihistamine. Nightmare stay.

Something very crucial at the beginning: We have been guests at the Hotel Dikul eight times in the last five years. What is standard for our current visit is indescribable! The quality and service of recent years has been completely lost. It starts with the parking lot, which now costs fees. Unfriendly staff, in the form of a young gentleman at the reception, absolutely rude and arrogant! Room service now only takes place every seven days, including changing towels, replacing toilet paper and soap, and emptying the trash can. If the guest wishes the room to be cleaned in the meantime or towels or soap renewed or replaced, a fee of PLN 25 per day will be charged. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT: THE HOTEL DIKUL WILL BE GLAD TO EXPLAIN IT. IN THREE STAR HOTELS, ROOM SERVICE ALWAYS COSTS EXTRA... The guest is really lucky that only 25 PLN per night is charged here. HOW STUPID CAN YOU THINK CUSTOMERS/GUESTS ARE? At the time of Corona, it is more than worrying that people want to earn extra money from hygiene. The breakfast in this hotel was otherwise exceptionally good. It is now at youth hostel level. Only the cheapest food is offered for consumption. The fruit plate is just waiting for the fruit flies to visit. Cold cuts and cheese have dried out. Bread and rolls are old. Let's not even mention variety. There is a big notice in front of the breakfast room that a mask should be worn. What good is this if even the staff doesn't stick to it? Despite there being fewer guests, the tables are not cleared! It's such a shame what has become of this hotel. It's no longer particularly surprising that the free coffee machine in the lobby area has been broken for days. You will certainly find something better in Wroclaw. Once again our express warning to regular customers: Don't expect what you are used to! Everything has changed here! Savings are made at every corner and attempts are made to take money out of the guests' pockets through the back door! There is no reason to book this hotel again! If so, please be honest and change the name to hostel or youth hostel. That would be consistent and not a deception of the guest! Never again !
