Cedar Manor

This was by far one of the best places we have stayed… Cedar Manor exceeded our expectations in every way. Jonathan and Caroline were perfect hosts giving us advice as to where to go and means of transportation. The Hote is adorned with original artwork by Caroline the owner. Lovely garden and ample parking… close to town center.. and they even have tea time everyday. Breakfast outstanding!!thank you Jonathan and Caroline for the most amazing time!!

This was our third stay at the beautiful Cedar Manor with hosts Caroline and Jonathan and it certainly won’t be our last. It’s such a lovely place to stay, with beautiful gardens, amazing food, fabulous luxury rooms and such lovely warm hosts. The rooms are exquisitely decorated and have everything you’ll need for your stay. This time we stayed in Crinkle Crag. The breakfasts are amazing and the list of choices is fabulous, allowing you to try alternatives each morning. Caroline and Jonathan are always there if you need them but you’re very much left to your privacy. We haven’t yet tried their afternoon teas but the descriptions reads very well and we spotted a few on our trips back mid afternoon. There is a beautiful bar area for drinks and the ambience is one of sheer peace and tranquility. I particularly love the selection of music whilst eating breakfast, so lovely and memory provoking! We will definitely be back … as we need to sample the much anticipated afternoon tea! Thanks again Caroline & Jonathan for such a lovely stay ahead of my birthday tomorrow!! J & S.xx xx

We have just been today 13th June for afternoon tea and it was absolutely incredible! I can honestly say it’s the best we’ve ever had. The attention to detail is second to none. I have Coeliac and it’s very difficult to find good afternoon tea but I would strongly recommend Cedar Manor they made me feel the same as everyone else which doesn’t often happen. So thank you so much for making it a truly memorable experience. What I could not finish was boxed up beautifully for me to bring home. Thank you to the amazing hosts we will be back!

This is a truly lovely hotel with a chilled, comforting feel. We were greeted with kindness and a smile and shown to our tidy and excellently-decorated room. The small touches really enhanced the experience, such as chocolates in the room, fresh milk in the fridge, and a spa bath in the bathroom. The lounge and bar area was a particular highlight, with furnishings and music to help you unwind and feel right at home. Many thanks for kickstarting our holiday in style!

Great location just a short walk from the centre of Windermere. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and always available. We stayed in the Coniston room which had everything we needed (the little welcoming chocolates were a nice touch) and was warm and very comfortable. The mountain views and sunsets were an added bonus. When back in the lakes we will definitely come back!
