All good except low quality toilet paper. Also for hygiene purpose, hope the hostel can let customers stop using same hand towel and install dryer instead of.

There is no fence except for the upper bunk bed (four-person room No. 7, one of the two upper bunk beds has one). Other perfections: excellent location, environmental interior, breakfast variety, staff service, etc.

I was in Wellington for a FIFA world cup game, so the location couldn't have been better, a 15-minute walk to the stadium. The place was very tidy. Many available options for hot drinks and a great variety of options for breakfast. Friendly staff.

The Dwellington is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! Everyone is super friendly and relaxed, the kitchen, dining room, dorm rooms and bathrooms were all super clean. There’s a grocery store 5 minutes away and one of the main bus stations is a quick 10 minute walk as well. I was there for the Women’s World Cup matches and when we weren’t attending the games, we were watching them in the hostel’s luxurious theater (with comfy reclining seats). 10/10 and would stay there again no question. Solo traveler and felt super comfortable here.

We had an amazing stay at the Dwellington, meeting interesting travelers every day. Breakfast was provided with many tasty options and the kitchen has almost anything we might need to cook or other meals (other than the actual food). The staff was kind and helpful. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Wellington!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our family was unable to follow through with our booking at 'The Dwellington' for two nights Thursday 20th - 21st of April. According to 'The Dwellington's' cancellation policy, us being out of the 24-hour period, we knew we would be charged for our first night regardless. We were happy for this to take place. However, we needed confirmation that we would receive a refund for our second night. In the hope to speak to someone at 'The Dwellington' I rang 6 times on Thursday evening, and 7 times on Friday morning. I was most upset that no one answered their telephone, or took the time to call us back ( although their answering message says that they would call us back). We didn't have a lot of time but decided to go to The Dwellington in person. The crazy one-way street systems in Wellington are mind-blowing, and frustrating to say the least. After the trouble we went through to get to the Dwellington the receptionist told us we had been E-mailed to inform us we had received a refund for our second night. If you had spent 5 minutes giving us a phone call (the same amount of time it may take for an E-male) I would have appreciated this, and you would have saved us a lot of trouble and stress.

Great stay! The hostel is wonderful and beautiful set up. The shared bathrooms were very clean, and the shared kitchen and yard were a great hang out area. The walls were very thin and all the doors slam closed which made for a long night. Parking is either just in front or just around the corner of the street for cheap. They also had a breakfast with great options! Staff were friendly and willing to help if we had any issues!

What a great place to stay. The Dwellington is a really friendly, comfortable, well equipped hostel in the heart of Wellington. It is close to a supermarket and an excellent outdoor swimming pool. The hostel has its own tennis court, a cinema and laundry. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and a comprehensive breakfast is included. Everything is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We would certainly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Wellington.
