Wonderful stay near the entrance of Volcanoes National Park! The room was clean, cozy, and had a peaceful rainforest view from the back patio. The provided kettle and microwave were very thoughtful, especially since dining options nearby are limited. Breakfast was delicious—prepared in advance and placed in the fridge so we could enjoy it at our own pace. Thanks to the front desk for letting us know about the lava glowing that night—it was an experience we’ll cherish forever. Can’t wait to come back!

We spent 3 nights at this delightful bed and breakfast staying in the Bamboo Room. Hale’Ohu is surrounded by a tropical rain forest garden which was wonderful to walk around. We had a different continental breakfast with home baked products which was more than adequate. There was a comprehensive list of recommendations for dining which was useful and the hosts Nicole and Gabrielle were very accommodating providing late arrival information. Would highly recommend as a base to explore the Volcano NP

My husband and I loved our stay here! We were welcomed by one of the friendly innkeepers upon arrival. The room was very clean, the breakfasts were delicious, the grounds were beautiful and it is so conveniently close to Volcanos National Park!! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Outstanding bed and breakfast in great location. Amazing attention to detail with friendly and helpful staff. Immaculate accommodations, beautiful grounds, and great breakfast. Bed and breakfast is just minutes from Volcano National park. Among the amenities included in our room was a shoe cleaning kit that came in very handy after spending a day hiking in the park. Book provided in the room covered everything you could think of and was extremely helpful. We grade this a six out of five!!

We were so happy with our stay in the Red Ginger room. We enjoyed the very clean, up to date, comfortable, well-furnished room with its beautiful garden view; the on-property garden walk; peaceful, beautiful surroundings; kind owners; and the excellent in-room breakfast served on our own schedule with real china and silverware. This is a beautiful place to stay minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The room we were in was stylish, comfortable and clean. The garden setting was gorgeous. A very nice touch to have a rug, chair & table outside our door to enjoy the garden, if we had time to do that. The provided breakfasts were delicious and well thought out. Easy for us to warm-up and eat when we were ready. Very close to the Volcano National Park and made it so easy to access. We even were lucky to see the volcano erupt because we were so near the park.

Comfy bed, beautiful grounds, peaceful place, friendly owners Nicole and Gabrielle always put a personal touch. A nice warm place close to Volcanoes National Park. We always choose to stay here and we are locals. Great place for a staycation.

My Adult daughter and I recently stayed at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, The grounds are beautifully kept and we enjoyed our time walking around and amongst the native Hawiian flowers. The room had the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a long time. The breakfasts were lovely and delicious with new surprises daily. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful with the local historical and tourist attractions. The ambiance of there Bed and Breakfast transports you to another world and you cant help but relax in this tropical side of Hawaii. You can't miss this opportunity to stay so close to the volcano to explore the many hiking opportunities. We will definitely be back.
