Hotels Near Miniaturbahnen-Verein in Vienna

We visited the Austria Trend Park Hotel during August 2022. The front of house reception staff are very friendly and helpful as are the staff responsible for room servicing. The hotel is perfectly placed for the Schloss Schonbrunn Palace and Zoo which is a quick 15 minute walk from the hotel. Our room was bright, well appointed and comfortable and most importantly…quiet. There is a lovely little quiet garden with hammocks and a water feature to chill out in that seems to be somewhat under utilised, which given we had the run of the place was great….hammock side refreshment service would have been a great touch. There is a great array of restaurants and shops in the area so you want have to go far that coffee, croissant, ice cream or glass of wine. There is even a couple of supermarkets within 5 mins walk should you need a few things, My only real disappointment is related to the parking. While it states it on booking sites (not the company website which states it clearly) that on-site parking is available it’s not made clear that it’s actually a paid for parking costing you a further 25€ a day which in my case was 75€ I would have liked to spend on more important touristy things.

Mixed bag here. The hotel is walking distance to the Stadthalle, our main reason for booking. Lots of transport links around. Many Ubers and bolts, and about 30/40 minutes to the airport via taxi. Room size was adequate, with a mini fridge, which was unplugged with food and drink inside. It didn't really cool well, when we managed to plug it in. The beds were comfy. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, but no milk. Room had electric blinds which were cool, and room was good and dark when the curtains were closed. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard, nothing special. But still good to start the day with. Rooms on the street side are very very noisy. The hotel is near a shopping mall, so deliveries 5am-10am every morning. Vehicles lloading, banging, noise, men shouting, doors slamming etc. But not really the hotel's fault. At night people smoke outside. So you can't really open windows overnight if you want a decent night's sleep. The room got very stuffy and no real aircon. The cleaning staff start very early, around 9am, so again prospect of good sleep is hit and miss, but they are very friendly and polite. Room generally clean, but there were hairs in the sink and shower. Also hairs on the supposedly clean towels. Staff mostly friendly and accommodating. However, the price of drinks seemed to change every round, (normally increasing). There was one member of staff who had the most appalling attitude. On our last night the shower flooded badly, into the hallway of our room. We couldn't shower or use the toilet. We phoned reception. The staff member claimed he didnt understand what bathroom is flooded means. After 5 attempts at explaining. He said he would send a colleague up. Surprise! Surprise! No one came. We needed sleep due to early flight the next day. We went down to reception, we were ignored, treated with contempt, eye rolls, and he told us he couldn't help, he said he was on his own. So sending someone was a LIE!? He was at the bar pouring drinks slowly, while looking at us blankly and rolling his eyes. He demanded we take a seat, no apologies, no offer of a solution. Basically appalling customer service and no communication. He was quick to check in guests that came to reception, inbetween pouring drinks deliberately slowly to avoid us. The only thing he said was he was on his own and there were no spare rooms. Eventually, he came to our room and saw the problem. With a bad attitude he did try to unblock the drain to no avail. We were lucky enough to have him mop up the floor and give us more towels, upon us asking, no offer. The staff in the morning when we checked out were apologetic when we told them, which we appreciated, and did make us nice coffee's to go. Unfortunately it doesn't take the bad taste away, and we had a poor night's sleep as a result of the stress. No one deserves contempt, utter rudeness and unhelpfulness as a paying guest, especially when we should have been resting, ready for flying

Our room (apartment for 2 adults) was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. The refrigerator wasn't turned on (we couldn't turn it on by ourselves, but actually we didnt need it) A special thing in apartment is that there is a stove. All required dishes you can ask on reception and make food by yourself. Location is not far away from tram and underground stations (5-7 min by foot).

Jazz In The City Hotel 28 February - 2 March 2023 Room 500 5 stars for its cleanliness and service! Location: We took the Vienna Airport Cab from the airport to the hotel. We paid Euro 37 (one way). It was very convenient. It took about 30 minutes. The driver drove carefully and was on time to fetch us at the airport. The hotel is accessible to the underground and shopping area. Reception: Excellent and very helpful! We were able to check in early and the room was already ready when we arrived. Room: Modern, fresh and very clean indeed! The bedsheets, pillow covers, towels and bed were all immaculately clean and dust free. It has all the amenities that you need. Our room was located in a quiet area. Bathroom/Toilet: Very clean indeed! Breakfast: Excellent breakfast! You can order sunny side up or omelette which is freshly cooked. Very clean and fresh breakfast area. Check out: Fast and effective! Recommendation: Why not paint the ceiling of the room white and paint the water pipes black? It will give a smooth, clean and fresh feel. Overall recommendation: Highly recommended:

Quick check-in and location is just a 5-min walk from Wien hbf (Vienna Central Terminal). Clean room and bed, and good shower with shower gel. Remember to bring all other amenities eg slippers, drinking water etc.

I had a very nice welcome. I was allowed to bring my bike to the room. The room was really spacious and very nice breakfast buffet! Coffee machines were inefficient though :( I appreciated the quite area. Different kind of public transportation is still very close :)

Staying here now. A great location for touring the city. Metro station U1 (REDLINE) right outside hotel on the right and close to shopping area and museums, aquarium and street food/ market street. Kids friendly hotel (play room for little kids, not for 4 years old upwards). Staff not too friendly but I think this is due to busy period of the year & no time to carter to non-urgent matters. But if you manager to track down a staff & ask for help, it happens quickly. Clean lobby - water available for guest, coffee, tea, small lobby though, could run into people easily if crowded. Breakfast - good, clean, outside Terrence was open so good space. But a bit crowded by 8-9 am. Food variation, lots of different things and great for people who do not eat pork. Rooms -modern, clean, updated furniture. Pray it stays this way compare to past reviews 2019, 2020. Could be bit more dust-up; but hey its summer so open windows / dust is normal. TV very great size & distance from bed. Mini-bar / kitchen yay :-) kids were happy. Beds - very comfortable, sheets smells very clean, pillow- fluffy and smells clean fresh & new. No dirt under bed. I checked. Bathroom - oh I am surprised, cleaned , no mold on the bathroom tub, or shower area. I must say this was amazing. VERY CLEAN BATHROOM. Halls from Elevator - clean surprisingly no stains, no trash cans (thank goodness) and not smelling, it was very airy and spacious for tolling baggages back & forth. Elevator not dirty, mirrors / steel very clean. Windows big with lights, no balcony. Curtains very clean a bit dusty again. Overall I kept looking for something, but this time I have no major complain then perhaps friendier staff will be a bonus, but hey o one should stop your happiness. This hotel was clean and comfortable with a nice, modern bar/lobby area. The breakfast was really good and we particularly enjoyed the fresh waffle machine. My only downside would be unless you were visiting the fair that there isn’t too much in the area. There was a local burger bar that was full so we struggled to find anywhere else to eat and wished we’d just eaten in the hotel in the end. A nice hotel but just be warned it’s in a very quiet (potentially business) district within the city.

Esperienza eccellente in coppia. Prenotato 4 notti presso questo Hotel per me e la mia ragazza, e devo dire che ne siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti. Punti a favore: - Camere nuove, pulite, spaziose (noi avevamo la standard e si stava benissimo), controllo temperatura direttamente dall'interno, condizionatore efficentissimo ed intuitivo, doccia ampia, minibar, cassaforte e tablet da cui controllare la TV e altre funzioni. - Posizione strategica a dir poco, davanti la fermata della Metro U1 che arriva in centro in 15 Min, bus e tram. - Tranquillità. Camere insonorizzate perfettamente, non abbiamo sentito un minimo rumore né dall'esterno, né dal corridoio, né dalle altre camere, aspetto che ho apprezzato moltissimo avendo il sonno leggero. - Palestra, seppur piccola, essenziale ed adatta ad un breve workout per chi non volesse priv****ne anche in vacanza. - Refill acqua infinito alle fontanelle in reception, anche se a detta dello staff l'acqua dei rubinetti di Vienna è potabile. Lati negativi: Anche se la nostra esperienza resta da 5 stelle, credo sia giusto sottolineare alcuni aspetti che potrebbero essere migliorati per rendere questo hotel impeccabile. - Colazione: 21€ a testa è una follia, non so cosa offrissero ma a quelle cifre nemmeno mangiando all'Hotel Sacher in centro. - Ascensori: utilizzabili solamente scannerizzando la tessere della propria camera, metodo sicuramente intelligente per evitare intrusi nell'hotel, ma a volte scomodo e malfunzionante, e in generale gli ascensori funzionano un po' macchinosamente. - Mancanza di un armadio in camera di qualche cassetto, seppure abbiamo apprezzato molto quella sorta di appendiabiti a cielo aperto all'ingresso. - Staff pulizie scortese al checkout: nonostante alla reception ci avessero detto che il checkout fosse possibile fino alle 12, già dalle 9 una signora delle pulizie è venuta a bussarci, ripetendo poi verso le 10, anche dopo averle detto che eravamo in fase di uscita e avremmo liberato la stanza per tempo. - Connessione alla TV: nonostante avessimo seguito la guida per connettere il telefono alla TV tramite Miracast, non ci ha funzionato nulla, abbiamo riprovato più volte ma niente, avremmo potuto domandare in reception ma alla fine non ne abbiamo avuto bisogno.
