"This hotel is very distinctive in an old building, so there is no new hotel equipment except the elevator, and even the door lock is an old key door lock. Breakfast is very good and worth trying. The room is spacious and hygienic, but I am not sure if all the rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. Our room is not, so the hotel has two fans in the room. The traffic is also very convenient, two minutes downstairs to the tram stop to go to various attractions and stations."
"Hotel zona musei, a due passi dalla fermata metro, giovanile e conviviale, personale veramente gentile, hotel attento all'eco sostenibilità. Camera confortevole"
"The room is relatively new with a kitchen, tableware is provided, the window is too noisy by the road, the self-purchasing oil and salt can be cooked, the building is an elevator, self-check-in, check-out is convenient, the traffic is 7, 8 minutes walk, there are subway 4, 18 trams, a room is difficult to find."

"The hotel is next to the Old Church of Vienna. There are many businesses and restaurants downstairs. It is close to the pedestrian street and very convenient. The hotel has good facilities and is clean and sanitary with good service. I would especially like to mention the breakfast room. You can dine facing or with your back to the Old Church. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good. If you come to Vienna, this hotel is very cost-effective and recommended."
"The hotel environment is great, located on the Danube River, staying at this hotel is our last day, making up for the regret of not going to the Danube River. The room was clean and hygienic, the waiter was very good, the room was very cost-effective, it was a little far from the city, it was not a problem for friends traveling by car."
"Very good hotel. Convenient location: there are tram stops nearby. In this hotel we rented a room similar to a small apartment. There is a kitchen (refrigerator, stove, kettle, dishes). This was exactly what we needed. We wanted to live in Vienna, go to the store and cook our own food. The owner of the hotel is a responsive person. My plans changed several times and each time he met me halfway, for which I am so grateful to him."
"We really liked the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was great, the coffee as well. We got a quiet room, which we enjoyed so much. The location is excellent, everything is within easy reach by underground. We really missed the fridge in the room as neither lunch nor dinner is available at the hotel. The mattress of the bed could have been harder. All in all, we recommended the hotel to everyone if you want to stay at a good place for a reasonable price."
"The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff very pleasant and available.
The breakfast is varied and plentiful. The hotel is very well located and well connected. I recommend !"
"The room was renovated 10 years ago and it's time to update the facilities. However, the hotel front desk still attaches great importance to the guests' check-in experience. When I checked in, the room next door was still making loud noises at 12 o'clock one night, so I called the front desk directly to complain. Within half an hour, The room next door was silent. Later, the front desk took the initiative to ask if this matter had affected the check-in experience. They could only say that it was not true. It was just that their front desk had zero tolerance for excessive things and took the initiative to stop practical actions to solve the problem."

Great
GGuest UserThe room was larger than anticipated, though bottled water was not provided. However, the location was incredibly convenient, with a DM drugstore and a small convenience store nearby. It's right next to the Belvedere Palace and just a hundred meters from the train station, making transportation extremely easy. As I only stayed one night, I simply checked out and left my luggage before heading out to sightsee the next day, so I didn't get a chance to experience the hotel's other amenities. Overall, it was a good stay.
--Nancy-Austria Trend Hotel Schönbrunn Wien was absolutely gorgeous. The ambience was warm and inviting, and its location—right in front of Schönbrunn Palace—made it a wonderful choice for those visiting the palace. There were plenty of nearby shops and cafes, which added to the convenience.
However, if you’re planning to do sightseeing in the main city, transportation is something to consider. You’d either need to take a taxi (about 15–20 minutes) or a tram (around 45 minutes). So, while this hotel is perfect for a Schönbrunn-focused stay, it might not be the most convenient base for exploring the entire city.
The staff were friendly, but one issue stood out—housekeeping. On our morning of departure, cleaning staff knocked on our door around 10–11 AM, seemingly checking when we would be leaving. Since checkout was at 12 noon, it felt like they were unnecessarily rushing us, which was a bit frustrating.
Another concern arose after checkout. We left our luggage near the baggage room at reception to explore more, and upon returning, the staff couldn’t locate our bags—even though we had the receipt given by the staff when we dropped them off. Instead, we were asked to search through the luggage ourselves in a room full of other guests’ belongings. This didn’t feel very secure, as it seemed possible for someone to mistakenly—or even intentionally—take another person’s bags. Better monitoring or improved staff training in this area would certainly enhance the experience.
Despite these issues, the hotel was lovely, and the staff were welcoming overall. With a few improvements in housekeeping procedures and baggage storage security, this could be an even better place to stay.
VVerified Member🏨🚇🥐🧼🏙️ I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs.
The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth.
Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up.
Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient.
I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning.

GGuest UserFirst time experience where I had to self check in.. was relatively smooth experience.
Location is very next to the main station, and therefore very convenient should you have connecting trains to go elsewhere in Europe.
The rooms were just right, had everything you need including a place to cook if you must. Only thing to complain about if anything was the lack of a proper fan as the tiny fan was no good as Austria is quite warm during summer. Highlight of the trip for my wife was discovering the laundry room.
Overall great experience and both of us really liked it.

Very Good
CChannan CheanThe location was great, everything was great. We got free breakfast, the men in the breakfast room was very kind and helpful. However, we went there during winter and the heater didn’t work and they weren’t not able to fix during that day. But it was fine, we can barely it because the room was warm enough.
JJ FerGreat location , easy to find. Essential needs met within studio flats. No extras (teas/coffees/ water bottles, which would have brought this to 5*)
Would be better to have check in machine operate consistently in English as was a mix of German / English which was a little challenging after a long trip!
GGuest UserThere's no air conditioning, and the window only opens a tiny crack, so it can get a bit warm during the day if the curtains are open. However, the evenings were fine as it was quite cool during my stay. Aside from that, it's very convenient. There's a supermarket right across the street (open until 7:30 PM) and a McDonald's (I believe it's open until 1 AM, though my latest visit was around 10 PM). The subway is also quite close, just one stop from the Austria Center Vienna. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time; it's perfect for a budget-conscious student like myself.
