Boutique Hotel Kugel Wien

Wow, we could not have been more happy! The location for visiting Vienna was great -- not in the crowded more touristy areas yet still very easy access to everything. Also very safe area (like all Vienna we learned). We mostly used the transit system - very easy to learn - but to walk most places is not so difficult either. A one-week transit pass is approx $20 USD. Hotel staff was GREAT! Friendly, helpful to all questions. The rooms were super-clean. I would, without any reservations, recommend this place to anyone I know going to Vienna.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and everything was perfect. The host was very kind and helpful. The location was great. It is a great neighborhood with cute coffee shops. Also there were many shops nearby. The room was great as well. Overall I would recommend it.

A very warm welcome by an extremely helpful and friendly team at the hotel. Nothing was an issue, when I realised I had forgotten my adopter plug, they checked and lent me one from reception. The hotel is on a great location walking distance to city centre, but public transport on doorstep with the tram or underground minutes away. The room was very big for a European City Capital, and immaculately maintained. I loved the old world decor or the hall snd particularly the staircase. There was loads of cafes and restaurants nearby with staff more than willing to make recommendations. We had breakfast out of the hotel everyday, but I would recommend Cafe Florence just diagonally across the road.

The owner is a very good, helpful, kind, and courteous person. The place is clean, well-located, and very friendly in the city center. I liked the different styles of the rooms; it was an amazing experience. I recommend it to everyone for one night or more. :-)

We stayed here for 7 nights and liked the hotel very much. The staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. When we checked in, they instantly gave as a map and adviced how to get to the city center and to other attractions. Before we even asked a map :) People at the front desk were always willing to help and had time to chat. We had a superior room, a romantic one, which was very nice. Paying a little extra for superior room was worth it. Room had a refrigerator/minibar and in-room safe. The room was some kind of average size compared to others we have stayed. Not too small. Some minor down sides in the room were a little dustiness, noisiness (noise from the street) and a lack of air conditioning. But the noisiness is understandable and acceptable when the hotel is so central located. Location is great. It's only 10 minutes walk to the Museum Quartiers and 15-20 minutes to the city center. There is a tram/bus stops just around the corner and the nearest underground station is not so far either. There are lot's of restaurants and couple of grocery stores nearby. And if you are interested, check out those several record stores nearby. Also the Mariahilfer Strasse (the famous shopping street) is only couple of blocks from the hotel.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is well located and a very short walk to the undergound metro where you can be in the inner stadt within 10 mins. (You can also easily walk to the centre of Vienna). The area around the hotel also has a lot of nice shops and restuarants....a great morning cafe just diagonally across the road.
