Stayed 2 nights with a co-worker. We had an early flight from Vienna on Monday, so we didn’t have time to catch the very first bus from Nitra. We decided to come not for one night, but for 2, to see Vienna on Sunday. The hotel was booked in advance, 10 days in advance. It took a long time to choose, booked through booking. We chose the cheapest double room offered at this hotel. The price was lower due to the two bunk beds. And the room itself is tiny, smaller than other options. But it seemed enough for us to “spend the night twice.” OK. We paid and calmed down. What was it like for us to hear upon arrival that this was a room for one person!!!! Shock. Confusion - a lot of money, about 180 euros. But there were options for cooler hotels in the same neighborhood, for 203 euros for two people for 2 nights, for example. I open my booking account and show that the room we booked is for two!!!!! The receptionist talks with someone for a long time on the phone, says ok, we have to wait until one o'clock in the afternoon. My English is very bad, so I call my husband, give the phone to the receptionist, and he confirms that everything is ok, but we have to wait until one o’clock. We leave a bunch of suitcases, backpacks with laptops practically on the floor between the reception desk and the dining tables, because there is no luggage storage, and there is no reception as such - the narrow space has been converted into a cafe, or as they loudly call themselves a restaurant. Standing in front of the desk with the receptionist almost close to the noses of the breakfast guests is not the most pleasant “pose”. The receptionist is also a waiter, who constantly runs away to the kitchen, then to the microwave, then to the client.... A nightmare from which I wanted to get away quickly. We took the essentials and went to Vienna. We returned from Vienna at about 17:00, and we were immediately glad that we had to pay an additional 46 euros for the room. To say that we are upset is simply to remain silent. We tried to explain ourselves again, show the reservation, but the receptionist said either pay extra or one person. OK. We paid extra and asked for an invoice. We were told that they would give it in the morning. OK. Next, you can get to the room by a small elevator, which is activated by a key. The receptionist saw that we were in shock and could not start the elevator, but he was in no hurry to help us. I had to ask, although he stood right next to me, a meter from the elevator and watched attempts to insert the key and press the floor. Who should guess that the key still needs to be turned in the lock? Personally, I have never encountered such antediluvian elevators. The room... I was amazed by its tinyness and thoughtless doors. If you open the closet, the front door and the bathroom door are blocked. Why not then put a cabinet with a door on runners? To be fair, it must be said that the room was perfectly clean, the radiators were all working (it was the end of October, it was colder and we turned on the heating in the room and in the bathroom). There were wipes in the bathroom, liquid gel near the sink and in the shower. There are no complaints. Everything in the bathroom and toilet worked perfectly, it was a pleasure. You can't say the same about the room. There is no cabinet for suitcases, only one chair,
