Despite being located right in the heart of the city, the B&B is remarkably quiet and peaceful at night, allowing for restful sleep. Breakfast is another highlight—there’s a huge selection to choose from, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. Every morning feels like a treat, with fresh, high-quality options that fuel you for the day ahead. This B&B is truly a hidden gem—combining exceptional hospitality, comfort, and charm in an ideal location. We thoroughly enjoyed a four night stay from Thursday 9th May at the Residenza Pietra di Verona prior to the start of a cycling holiday organised by Itinera Bike and Travel conveniently situated across the street We stayed in room 13, an attic room full of character and with a modern ensuite. Very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast served in the linked cafe bar was excellent with a wide choice including delicious fresh pastries. Excellent weather meant we were able to enjoy breakfast in the sheltered courtyard. Within the Residenza, there is a comfortable guest lounge area with a Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods and a selection of teas all of which were complementary and much appreciated. Our hosts and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. In a super location just a short walk from the Pietra bridge, we would certainly hope to stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Residenza Pietra di Verona is a total disappointment. We booked a one night stay and were tucked away in an attic in the smallest room possible with stairs to climb and no proper window. The room 13 looks like an oratory with no comfort and decor. This room is not even featured on their website, felt bias. There is no service and no one to welcome you at check in and to assist you at check out, everything is through messages.

Verona is an extremely charming city. The historic center is nestled in a bend in the Adige River. There are narrow cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and Roman ruins, Residenza Pietra is a lovely B&B within walking distance of the Roman Arena, Juliet's House, the historic city center, the Giusti Garden and the Roman Theatre, It is just up the hill from the funicular. It is well worth taking the funicular for a fabulous view of the city. To get to the historic center from the Residenza you cross the Ponte Pietra, a stone Roman bridge and pass through a gate in a tower. The staff people are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The Residenza has a real Italian-style bar where breakfast is served for the guests and also neighborhood residents. There is fruit, cereals, yogurt, fabulous pastries, and, of course, cappuccino. Having breakfast there is a genuine Italian experience with people on their way to work, kids on their way to school, dog walkers, and others enjoying a coffee and a cornetto.

Great little quirky bar ideal for drinks and snacks while visiting the San Pietro area of the city. We just had small snacks and drinks but were made to feel welcome. We witnessed couples arriving to stay and thought it would have been lovely to stay there sometime,

Would not recommend this accommodation! Even though it is a great location, as a solo traveller who barely speaks Italian, the service is non existent and it is not at all as advertised. No staff at check in, I had to call a number and self check in. I did not see any staff member at the desk once during my 3 night stay to ask for recommendations or help. I actually received recommendations by chatting with friendly store owners in town! This morning at checkout, I text the owner asking for assistance booking a taxi to the train station. I received no response. I could not get through to the Verona taxi service via text, phone or app after trying over a dozen times. I called reception several times asking for help as I did not speak Italian. They said no, I have to do it myself and they would not help me. I had to walk 15 minutes through cobblestone streets with my luggage to the taxi rank and subsequently missed my train to Milan. I had to pay €41 for a new ticket. Appalling service and would not recommend unless you are happy to have zero staff around! Breakfast was also very basic and no eggs were left every morning when I arrived. Very disappointed in Pietra di Verona.
