The introduction said that was breakfast included, but it didn’t. Although the receipt showed “no meal included”, it misled the breakfast including when viewing the page and the price.

Excellent location, good, modern accommodation and , friendly, helpful staff.

The room is elegant and spacious, and it's considered a large room on the island of Venice. The bathtub in the bathroom is well-designed, but the door cannot be closed from the outside, which may not be ideal if any odors from the toilet waft into the bedroom. Unfortunately, the TV, YouTube, and mobile phone screen mirroring cannot be used. The service, however, is excellent. La camera è elegante e spaziosa, ed è considerata una stanza grande sull'isola di Venezia. La vasca da bagno nel bagno è ben progettata, ma la porta non può essere chiusa dall'esterno, il che potrebbe non essere ideale se gli odori del bagno si diffondono nella camera da letto. Sfortunatamente, la TV, YouTube e la condivisione dello schermo del telefono cellulare non possono essere utilizzati. I had a bad experience that another person accidentally took my luggage, leaving their own off of the water taxi from airport. I checked into The Paganelli with no other clothes, no toiletries and more than a little freaked out. Thankfully I did get it back the next day but in the interim, the staff there was SO helpful and kind!! This is located next to a wonderful restaurant, Restaurante Principessa, good food and can people watch same time, couples getting married, etc. It's super conveniently located by Piazza San Marco and there is a water bus stop literally right in front of it.

We stayed at Hotel Paganelli for almost a full week and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, within walking distance to St. Mark's Square, with the Doge's Palace and the Basilica just around the corner. Location is perfect. The rooms are small and somewhat dated but very clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We booked a grand canal view room, which offered a stunning view and fantastic people-watching right from our window. Breakfast is served next door at their sister premises. While the breakfast choices are a bit basic, they offer good coffee, tea, rolls, juice, and croissants. The friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff really add to the charm of Venice. A convenient water taxi from the airport docks right opposite the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

The location is perfect. A short walk to San Marco square, with a water taxi stop right out front. Also, the vaporetto stop that is steps away connects to all the main lines. The staff was extremely helpful, such as helping make arrangements when a massive rainstorm with very high winds blew in and disrupted our water taxi. The room was extremely clean, and housekeeping was quick and efficient. We appreciated the loaner umbrellas on days with rain. I would definitely stay here again.

Just left after 3 nights. A small but lovely room with everything you need. Breakfast superb. Would highly recommend for a short stays as an excellent location for all the sights. Right on the waters edge an easy walk to the square and palace.

The Paganelli San Marco location is very close to the water transfer to/from the airport. Great base for exploring. Booked through Jet2 city breaks and paid for superior double….. nothing superior about the room!!! Cramped, small, dimly lit and unbearably hot (as with most Italian hotels no air-con in the winter months) just walking around the bed as risk of knocking yourself out on the large wall mounted TV. There were 2 compact wardrobes either side of the bed with limited hanging space in one wardrobe and missing the rail in the other! Queried room status with reception staff who confirmed they had two rooms that were on the smaller size but still a superior. Hotel is tired and in need of a refurbish but it’s clean, offers a nice breakfast and if you’re room is too hot open a window but make sure you use mosquito plug /spray (yes even in March) husband always a mossie feast! Did it spoil our city break - no not at all, the whole point of a city break is to spend as little time in your room. Would we return to The Paganelli? Sadly no, even with an offer of a discount for our next stay but we will for sure return to Venice.

Other reviewers helped me select this hotel in Venice as we wanted one with waterfront and very near the water transportation. It was a great choice. It’s a 3 star property but the room was so comfortable and the shower was terrific. The team could not have been more accommodating. Personable, professional and very helpful with luggage and local knowledge. The breakfast is held at their annex a very short distance away. It’s an average, adequate spread, which worked for us. There is a small, rooftop deck with a great view which we enjoyed escaping to. We would return.

Excellent location close to St. Mark's, the Arsenale, St Giorgio island and all the waterbuses, the waterbus from the airport stops directly opposite the hotel, there's even a waterbus to the airport at 4am for early flights home. The rooms in the annexe are smallish but comfortable and clean, lovely shower. The restaurant is in the annexe so that was a bonus for us although it's only a minute's walk to the main hotel. There are some shops just around the corner selling water, fruit etc. and quite a few cafe's and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always on hand for information. It's perfect for Carnival as it's close to all the 'Masks' meeting places. Hoping to go back next year.

Stayed here for four days and four nights with the boyfriend (now fiancé) during our holiday in Venice. The room we had was a double superior and it was stunning. The décor was top notch and felt like a room for royalty and had a lovely rustic touch. The view from the window showed the main ***** leading to the San Marco Piazza, was definitely an incredible view (considering we had the room on the 3rd floor).Lovely view from the rooftop terrace as it looks over Venice. Shout out to all the amazing staff in the Paganelli hotel as they were very professional and friendly (even if you accidently said good morning than good night) XD. Breakfast had a good option of wide variety's including fresh pastries and Italian meats. Would 100% be coming back and recommend this hotel to anyone that finds themselves in Venice.
