I REALLY enjoyed my stay at the Casa Linger! The pictures in the description do not do the hostel justice, it I so nice! The bunk room I was in was recently remodeled & the historical touches kept in place of the 600 year old wooden beams! The bed was comfortable, new heating, new tiled bathroom, new fully functioning kitchen with an oven too, lockers with your own key (no extra charge) and very clean! Good internet signal, excellent communication with the staff who were very helpful. I liked that there is a door code to the front entrance, so that you can come and go easily. There is a key to your bunk room, very secure. It was a very comfortable 'like home' stay for me! Once you find your way around, the public water taxi's drop right off at ”Aresenal” from either airport. ”ACTV or Alilaguna” are economic (15 euro one way)! Nearby the hostel area is a post office, self service laundry and market/grocery store. (in the direction away form San Marco.) Highly recommended!! Just a heads up for people with knee problems. The stairs are very steep (no elevator) it is a wonderful 600 hundred year old building that is super strong & historical. No complaints...just a heads up! :-)

The location is very convenient. St. Mark's Square and the water bus stop are very close. The style is quaint, some old, and all the so-called sense of history. Ordinary rooms are small, especially the ones that take the elevator downstairs. Because the itinerary changed, I stayed one day in advance and only booked the general room at this location. Feeling bad, dark and narrow. In particular, the next-door tenant still carries a dog, and does not understand that pets are allowed. The dog was calling all night and called the front desk to solve it. The back trip changed to the third floor suite and it felt good. Relatively quiet, there is a motor sound from the ships on the river.

I stayed here 3 nights 22 - 25 august 2022. Check in was efficient and friendly. Because we arrived early, the room wasn’t ready. The room itself was ok. Wood floors, fairly efficient air con. Terrace with a view over the rooftops and a glimpse of St Mark’s Basilica. A small television with international channels. Old style furniture in keeping with both the room and hotel. The bed was hard but comfortable and we both slept well. The WiFi is adequate. There have been a couple of sites I couldn’t reach which may have been the sites not responding. It was ok for emails and the social sites. The shower worked well enough, but we both found the bath floor slippy when showering. The toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap smelt nice, but were in miniature plastic bottles. We both agreed the soap smelt awful. The water in the sink was hot enough to wet shave in. There were plenty of towels but the towel hook spun round, so was basically, useless. Also, no face cloths were provided. Breakfast was good. Juice, cereals, cooked breakfast and the usual meats and cheeses. There is a small courtyard, which is great for an al fresco breakfast.

Good location, on the island, within walking distance of the attractions. More than 100 meters there is a water bus stop and an airport bus stop, which is very convenient. When you are tired, you can eat something in the restaurant downstairs to see the sea is very comfortable. Hotel facilities in general, although small but basically meet the needs, in Venice, this place is almost the same. I don't like breakfast, I can basically eat enough. There are no elevators in the small hotels in Venice Island, but the third floor is still digestible. I mentioned two boxes to receive my little brother and I was very enthusiastic to help me with the suitcase. Of course, I have to tip the suitcase in a foreign hotel. Although he is so arrogant, it is also a kind of foreign culture.

We were upgraded to a corner room with San Marco lagoon view. Very nice room with good view of the activities outside. Surprisingly the moderate outside noise abates by 10-11 PM and we slept soundly in the 2 nights we stayed in the hotel. Excellent location for the San Marco Piazza, the basilica, & the vaporetto stops. Very good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff are very nice and accommodating. We booked directly with the hotel and we were able to avail of the free private boat to and from the train station which is a big plus.
