The pros : location, cleanliness, breakfast quite good
The cons : no amenities, not even a small fridge in the room, the hairdryer works for some minutes only.

- Lovely breakfast with sufficient space in the rooms and nice washrooms. Be careful to close door prior to showering, or you'll set off fire alarm.
- Area of improvement would be having rooms ready for check-in and better communication on predicted availability above "everything booked; nothing available yet, go away and come back in a few hours or wait in lobby with large group.

Hotel Nazionale was a good hotel for the price. The rooms were clean, though a bit dated. The size is what you expect for a double (two beds put together) in Venice, enough to move around. The room had few amenities such as tv, desk, AC, but the dryer was a dated wall mounted dryer.
The location is right next to the train station, so the easy to getting to the hotel was wonderful, and it’s right near a water bus station, so you have access to quick trips around Venice.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Though you do have to move your bags up some stairs to the lobby yourself.
The complimentary breakfast was appreciated. It wasn’t fancy, but it provided a free meal to start the day, and options included fruit, bread, cereals, meats, and eggs.

The are only bed and wifi. No other amenities such as refrigerator or water boiler. It is necessary to climb up stairs to go to reception which is in first floor. The hotel has two buildings. Our room is located in 2nd floor of the other building. The staff helped to bring one suitcase and my son bring another one. The booking confirmation email said that check out time is before 12:00. However, the clean up staff knocked our door twice in 9:00 and 10:00 again even though we have put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. In around 10:30, the staff phone to room and said the check out time is 10:30. I told him the confirmation email said that the check out time is 12:00. Finally, we can still stay till 12:00. The communication is not clear.
