Le Phebus & Spa – Relais & Chateaux

Joucas|0.48km from city centre
We really enjoyed Le Phébus & Spa -- it is a very relaxing place that has outstanding food and service. All of the staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and they understood and addressed any of our questions/concerns. Our room was very spacious and comfortable (with great AC!!). We had the prestige suite and we highly recommend this room. It has a private patio with a pool and sun beds, which we really enjoyed. We ate all our breakfasts on the terrace. The room is quite comfortable and well serviced twice daily - fresh water provided each day. Plenty of towels, including towels for the pool! Comfortable bed and bedding. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, although most days we did not get exactly what we ordered it was always tasty! The SPA was great - I had a manicure and pedicure, which were wonderful. I wish I would have had enough time for a massage as well ..... Our meals were exceptional. We had a real surprise on our first night when the Cafe has such outstanding food and what a great value! On our second night we dined at the their one-starred -- La Table de Xavier Mathieu -- and it was fabulous. Each course was exceptionally creative - we had the discovery menu and especially liked the Sha-bu-Sha-bu and the veal with Tuna sauce, But all courses were delicious and creative reinventions on meals from around the world. Dessert also excellent. We loved Provence - especially the Luberon towns of Saignon, Rousillon, and Lourmanin (we had an outstanding lunch in Lourmanin!). On our second touring day, we visited Chateneuf de Pope for wine tasting had a fabulous lunch, and then the visited Avignon --- which is a lovely and lively town!! - and we had a fabulous dinner there. So we ate well throughout Provence! Overall, Le Phébus & Spa is an outstanding place and a great base to explore Provence, and we highly recommend!!!

Capelongue, a Beaumier Hotel & Spa

Bonnieux|0.93km from city centre
My partner and I stayed at Capelongue for our honeymoon and had the most perfect time! We were greeted with a lovely bottle of rosé champagne to kick off our romantic stay. First, the space and surroundings are absolutely breathtaking and instantly relaxing. Beyond the stunning natural landscape, the interior designers and architects truly left no stone unturned with this building. We were blown away by every little detail that made the space feel natural yet elevated. Next, the incorporation of local products, produce, and wines made us feel like we lived in the region. More than anything else, though, we felt wholly taken care of by the phenomenally kind, caring, and courteous staff members. Somehow they made sure we had everything we could possibly need without us noticing, making our lives feel joyous and easy every day. We must give a major shoutout to Marco who is an absolutely lovely person. He greeted us with kindness and made us feel like he was as happy to be there as we were. We can also not speak highly enough about Lauren, sommelier. Lauren could not be a more charismatic and lovely person to speak with, and she is trailblazing the wine industry. Her selected wine pairings for our incredible dinner at La Bastide blew us away. Her knowledge and passion for wine is unmatched. We will be back just to reconnect with her next summer! Finally, the location is fantastic if you are looking to do some exploring in the region. We visited Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, and Lourmarin to explore their local markets and restaurants, and easily traveled to Seneca Abby to see the lavender fields. Could not recommend Capelongue more!
Coquillade Provence

Coquillade Provence

Gargas|4.15km from city centre
This was quite simply put ... the highlight of our trip to Provence. I labored and labored over the research to figure out how to maximize our 4 day stay in Provence and there were several luxury hotels we were considering. Our first choice was Arielles Gordes but that was simply ridiculous pricing ... we also looked at a few others until we read an article in a travel magazine proclaiming Coquillade France's best resort. After staying there (and visiting Arielles for lunch) we would agree that Coquillade is the best. The staff could not have been nicer and after 4 days, we found ourselves on a first name basis with most of them. There was only one not so great staff member we encountered who was either very aloof or very shy but she was totally out of place with the rest who were wonderful. The valets, waiters, front desk staff and concierge were all first class. Our room was upgraded to a wonderful semi-suite ... full of space. It had a jacuzzi and a steam shower. There was a sitting area, a sleeping area and an outdoor patio. Sadly, it rained two of our for nights and I will say that the resort and room is remarkably better in the sun with miles of walking trails, biking roads and a wonderful (yet crowded) pool. We loved waking up for the complimentary full breakfast and everything was fresh and many ingredients such as honey, vegetables, fruit and herbs came from the hotel's own private garden. At night there were some mosquitos, so we were unable to sleep with the patio door opened ... but during the day, this was so great as there is Jasmine everywhere which perfumes the air. Our favorite moments were spent on the balcony sharing a bottle of wine. The mini bar in the room was restocked daily with local beer, spring water and candy and snacks. There are these amazing oranges in syrup in the rooms ... the staff told us where to buy them in a nearby town and we took a big jar home with us. Housekeeping was great and our room was spotless and clean. The resort is near many great towns ... of course there is the supposedly most picturesque town in France, Gordes. 30 minutes away by car we liked it but not as much as Rousillion which was our favorite town. Only 20 minutes away. The hotel gave us a few other towns to visit as well. While the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere ... and there are few restaurants less than a 20 minute drive, you truly feel lost in Provence here. If you want to be more in a traditional village, Gordes or some of the other villages may be more to your liking. However, unlike Spain, everything closes early in Provence and finding even a bar open past 10 p.m. on a weeknight, much less a restaurant, is quite a feat. The only so-so part of our trip was the hotel's restaurants. The most fancy one was closed our entire trip ... the pizza near the pool was great ... the main restaurant and room service we didn't really care for. Honestly, we'd probably have been better off eating all of our meals off property. Ove

It is impossible not to notice the high level of service provided by the staff, it is genuine kindness, humility and helpfulness. The staff are down to earth and are quick to help if there is anything you wonder about or need. The hotel is of older stucco and has an interesting history and there are beautiful details. There is also a beautiful and spacious courtyard where you can eat breakfast and smoke if desired, without disturbing others. We chose a smaller room but there are also slightly more modern rooms at a higher cost. In the smaller twin room there was nothing extra such as a minibar, coffee maker, hair dryer etc. but it worked well without this. One thing that might be good to think about, however, is not to have any biscuits in front of you, we experienced that on the day of check-out when the package was full of small ants, but apart from that, we didn't notice any bugs and the room was very fresh. They work to promote the environment and to not change towels more than necessary. The breakfast had everything that was wanted, there are two options in costs which were 6€/person and night for a cup of coffee, a cup of juice and a croissant. The other option was €12/person and night for the basic breakfast such as bread, cold cuts, hot breakfast, eggs, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea and juice. Parking costs €13/night which is an affordable price and it is stated on their website. The private parking of our hotel will also provide you with peace of mind as you will not have to worry about finding an available space in the surrounding streets and finally security as the parking is closed by a code door and under video surveillance. However, it can be good for those who travel with a huge amount of packing and do not have the opportunity to bring it into the hotel The garage door also states that you yourself are responsible for everything you leave in the car. The garage door has a long delay, so for yours and the other cars in the garage, it may be good to stay until the door actually closes. The only downside I see with the hotel was the expensive breakfast at €48 for two people for 2 nights. Today, hotel breakfast has become a luxury item, so if you have the opportunity to have it included in the hotel price, take that option! Alternatively, if you eat at one of all the cozy cafes that are right nearby

Everything is very good at the hotel, the decoration and sanitary conditions are not bad, but there are big problems at the front desk of the hotel. Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

This hotel has it all. It is located within walking distance of the village - to restaurants, shops, post office, all that is needed. It's location is also great for visiting the sights of the Luberon and Province. The rooms are very nice and convenient, but best of all, the owners are very interested in you having a great visit and being able to fulfill your plans - they help with restaurant reservations, maps to select locations and even wrapping a wedding gift. Our visit to the area for our son's wedding was very successful because of Anne and Stephen. The hoel also has secure, private, free parking. I highly recommend this hotel. 1

My wife and I and another couple had two rooms here in mid-September. The hotel and rooms are decorated with architectural elements and remnants of a former monastery. We were able to beat the Provence heat with the room's AC unit. Rooms have a small, but functional kitchenette of sorts tucked into an armoire. Rooms are quiet and surround a pleasant courtyard. Patrick was an excellent and helpful host. He was especially helpful in getting a taxi for the four of us to the TGV station at an obscene hour of the morning. The night before, I asked for the name and number of the driver in case there were issues. Patrick said, ”If there is a problem, call me and I will take care of it. I don't care if it is 6 in the morning!” This was a good choice for our three nights in Avignon. It is fairly close to the Palace of the Popes and other attractions. We also got good advice from Patrick for a nearby laundromat.

We had a excellent stay in this hotel. We stayed in an attic room with terrace - being an attic room this obviously had challenges in terms of room height. This was more than made up for by the fabulous views from the terrace. The air conditioning was efficient, the bed was comfortable and there was a kettle, mugs and glasses. Parking is free in the next door public car park. There is a relaxing pool area with plenty of shade and sun loungers. The hotel is a short walk from the village. The owner was welcoming.

Just check out and write a review, especially like this hotel 1. The location is not far from the Palais des Papes, about 5 minutes walk, there are many restaurants nearby, and the downstairs is very lively. 2. The bathroom is very large, although the facilities are old, but the one-off items are relatively complete. The city of Nanfa basically does not provide toothbrushes, and there is no mouthwash, as if only floss... 3. The room is small, the bed is not big, everything is small, but very delicate, I think it is like a home in France. 4. The staff at the front desk has a southern Chinese, gentle and courteous, asking all questions very convenient and very warm and honest. 5. Booking this hotel's favorite is to have a terrace, although the stone wall is too high to see the outside, but the small lawn is really cute. The hotel's joint venture is also in Nice, and I didn't expect it to be Suisse. In Nice, Suisse is dying, under the Castle Hill, but the price of the hotel is really high. If you booked, you can check out Ctrip. I booked for one night in Booking and Ctrip. Ctrip's activities are really suitable.
Le Moulin, Lourmarin, a Beaumier Hotel

Atmosphere: Comfortable/cozy. This place is beautifully/tastefully decorated while also being very approachable where people feel they can sit and relax. To me, this is the perfect/ideal combination. Great for a group of friends, family, or a date night. Probably my most favorite location in terms of venue. Parking: There is parking available along the street in front of the hotel and more around the corner (as well as a small parking lot) if needed. When we arrived there were 2 spots available on the street in front of the hotel for our 7:30pm reservation. Dress code: It’s part of the hotel so you see a wide assortment of clothing, leaning more casual. Jeans and a nice top are appropriate. Service: Good. Professional and attentive. Drinks: I had a mocktail which was a homemade earl grey iced tea which was subtle and not very sweet. My husband had a rose recommended to him and enjoyed it. Food: - Pacing: Perfect amount of breathing room between courses so you did not feel rushed or felt like you were waiting too long. - Bread: Nice rustic bread served with local olive oil and salt - Water tip for any restaurant: if you just want tap water, ask for a “carafe d’eau” - Appetizers: I had the burrata with cucumbers, mint, and jalapeños and this was incredibly good. More of a spring dish than a fall dish, but it did not matter because it was hands down delicious. My husband had the the squash/egg/shaved carrot dish. My husband enjoyed it but I found it a bit sweet for my liking. - Mains: We took the waiter’s recommendation. I had the lamb shoulder with quinoa which was a miss in my husband’s and my opinion and combined we did not finish the dish. If you do not like cilantro, steer clear of this dish. I do like cilantro and it was a lot/overpowering for me. The meat was a stew meat consistency (soft/a bit fatty) that I usually like, but the flavoring just missed the mark. My husband had the butcher’s cut with potatoes. For the evening it was a pork tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked, a little pink and very juicy. It comes with this brown sauce and green sauce that worked well with the meat and the piping hot roasted potatoes. - Dessert: We shared 3 scoops of the Ravi’s ice cream which is in the town’s square. Consistency was perfect. Our favorite was the almond flavor which little pieces of almond. Orange blossom flavor was very light (I could not taste it but my husband could). The lavender had a strong but not overpowering taste.
