Went there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary not knowing what to expect. We could not have chosen better. Lovely building and grounds, so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The pool area was top notch, again peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was extensive and extremely tasty - breads were really tasty. The evening dinners were the icing on the cake! Absolutely superb - fine dining at its best, truly delicious. Wine list was extensive and very good. L'Isle Sur la Source was an easy short car journey, no more than 10 minutes, mostly less Sorry to say goodbye to such a friendly warm hotel - can't wait to get back there.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first trip to France and the staff made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable and the dining was exquisite. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel in the countryside.

We stayed a week here in early June in very hot and sunny weather. The hotel is fairly simple with good grounds, and surrounded by orchards. We had a basic room which was quite small, but comfortable enough. It had good air conditioning which was essential given the temperature (in the mid 30s). The bed was comfortable and there was just enough storage. The bathroom was slightly odd with no shower curtain, but it was functional. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very well cooked, flavoured and presented. The deserts in particular were extremely good. The little amuse-bouche were also very good. There is also a very good wine list, with some excellent local wines. If you were staying somewhere nearby, it would be worthwhile booking a meal in restaurant. The hotel has a good size swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. However, it is not really suitable for smaller children as it has no real shallow end. A drawback that might worry some is that it is very remote and only accessed, albeit from several directions, by very narrow and rough single track roads. You need to drive these very carefully as there are many potholes which could easily damage a tyre, particularly at night when they are difficult to see. Most of the roads to it do have signs for it, but they are not large and you do need to 'get your eye in' to spot them. However, my car's built in Satnav found it without difficulty. If you are looking for a very quiet country hotel serving good food this is well worth considering, but probably opt for one of the superior rooms.

Tucked away in a little lane. Definitely need a GPS to find it quickly. Poor signage on site. No direction to drop off area, just direction to Parking resulting in a long way to carry luggage. In reception we were given our room key, told room was on second floor, and shown the staircase. There isn't a lift. Door at foot of stairs does not shut – jamming on the floor. No offer of help with luggage (we are both over seventy) and no direction where to go when we reached the top of stairs, so we consequently spent a while finding the room which was at the end of a corridor, whilst humping our bags around. The room and bed were OK and clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. In the bathroom the bath body wash dispenser was rather bizarrely mounted at standing height at the opposite end to the taps and shower hose, which didn't seem to work either for someone sitting in the bath or someone using the shower hose at the other end. Room had a small balcony that to one side overlooked the rear patio where we dined, and to the other side another parking area and a rather dirty roof patio below. First impression of dining patio was that the requisite number of tables were clean and had been laid for dinner, although not with tablecloths and candles as per the web site photos. The remaining tables had fallen leaves on them. Grass and ****s were growing through the gravel. Dinner was the set menu (having booked half board). The meal was tasty, but we did notice we were only given one “amuse bouche” item whereas diners choosing from the menu had three. The cheapest bottle of “house wine” was 30 Euros, which seemed a bit pricy in a wine growing area. Lasting impression was that the hotel was lacking maintenance both inside and outside, perhaps understandably in the aftermath of Covid, however this was not the case in the other four hotels and B & B's we stayed in during our travels, hence the rating of “disappointing”.

The property is in need of attention - the rooms are sp**** at best and the baths do not meet basic standards. I honestly think they hoped you would not bath ! There was no shower curtain - as you would expect water was ALL over the floor - an accident waiting to happen. I moped up the floor and thought okay maybe it’s best to bath - no bath tub drain stopper. Broken tiles - mildew behind the sink - Breakfast & dinner is a combined up charge of 44€ - the dining room was pleasant enough. The presentation was good. The starter course was okay - nothing special - and the main dish - pork tenderloin - was over cooked and dry. Breakfast was continental - an assorted bread basket and luke warm coffee. We had hoped to stay 2 nights, but instead opted to move to another location nearby.

Great old Provençal style property outside l’isle s/ Sorgue. Very quiet location on a country backroad. Great pool for relaxing and excellent food. The terrace was magnificent with widely spaced comfortable tables under a canopy of ivy and plane trees.
