India's well-deserved hotel, luxurious decoration, first-class service, intimate and comfortable, rich breakfast, daily newspapers. It is completely isolated from the mess outside, just like being in two different worlds, it is worth staying.

Unusually for a cheap dormitory, it was thoroughly cleaned. Other than that, the facility itself is huge, and it seems that it will naturally become a place for backpackers to interact during the peak season. I wasn't expecting much since it was India and it was in Varanasi, but it was okay. I used it only for a shower and a nap and headed to Delhi on a night flight, but Varanasi is dirty and stinky with the Gandhi River, so it is recommended to use a cheap dormitory for shower use. If you enter the Gandhi River without planning a shower, you should definitely consider it an inpatient course.

We landed in this hotel by fate, as after arriving in Varanasi we found the hotel we booked was quite far from the center. We looked for hotels around the central area at Godowlia and found out that few hotels take foreigners as guests. The staffs of a hotel that we were trying to book were kind enough to suggest to go for 'Shree Ganesha Palace”. The person at the reception of Shree Ganesha Palace was nice and helpful. It seemed he was from the family that owns the place. We ended up staying 4 nights instead of 2 nights and he even upgraded us to a different room upstairs at the same price. It was a wonderful stay altogether in the heart of the center but relatively quiet. The staffs were warm and friendly; specially we enjoyed the company of Divakar each morning during breakfast, who speaks good English and literally guided us what to plan for the day. Would like to stay again.

We stayed at HVH for two days stay was very comfortable,rooms were impeccably clean, food was good and the staff of the hotel were helpful and cordial. The hotel is very near to the ghat ,you can just take a walk and reach to ghat in 10 minutes.Best part is it is located in the main bazar so it's easier to get transport. Highly recommended.

Staying at Hari Vilaas was an excellent experience for me and my family. The hotel is very clean, neat and tidy at all times. Food was excellent and the staff is extremely courteous. It is a one stop solution for everything you need and everything is arranged within minutes of asking for it. Pandit to vehicle to Tuktuk everything arranged in no time for the right price. I forgot my Laptop charger during my travel and same was not available at the hotel but Krishna, the owner of the hotel arranged it in few minutes. There is a yes for everything in this place and did not hear ”NO” from anyone there. Enjoyed the stay there and would recommend this place for sure.

The facility and hospitality of Gupta inn hotel us excellent. The location is very good and service is excellent. The front desk team and it's behaviour is very cooperative. This is my fourth vidit to this hotel and prefer to stay in sane hotel.

Tourist trap alert : Don't book this so called hotel : it is actually not a hotel but a makeshift one with a few rooms kept aside for rental with the callous owner running his legal office in the same premises . There are no trained staff to take care of guests with one inept and very sad looking individual kept for errands . They insist on collecting the full due amount after a booking at the time of checking in with no option for cancellation once you see the place. They probably know that no one will come back here for a 2nd visit . Reasons : 1) Location deep inside a myriad of narrow alleys. Parking is a nightmare . You have to carry your bags up to the door and then up the stairs as there is no elevator. 2) Free breakfast scam : there is no place set aside for this. A minimal breakfast is supposedly sent to the room purposely after 9 am by some 3rd party which is not practical for anyone visiting temples in morning hours or checking out early . 3) Poor amenities: they skimp on basic items like a towel , soap and do not provide enough items even after requesting . The rooms , bathrooms are sub standard , unsafe with wet floors and inconvenient . 4) No provision of heating during the cold winter even in the so called deluxe rooms which were sold saying they had AC. Overall This place is a definite NO NO. No stars Absolutely zero star
