Just stayed for 1 night enroute kumbh mela. I found the property and room decent. Location is central: close to railway & bus stations, easily reachable from airport in 35-40 mins
area outside the compound is not clean because of the hustle-bustle around stations

It's clean and the food is fine, but there's no hot water.
It's far from the Ganges River, but it's nice and peaceful. The service and hospitality at the front desk was very good. Other than the hot water, there were no problems!

The overall hotel is not bad, in Varanasi is a cost-effective hotel, the room is clean, the location is OK, not far from the various attractions, the only bad thing is that the waiter level is worrying, the instant noodles in the front desk, actually I do not know The situation opened up.

A relatively new hotel. The rooms are clean, but there doesn't seem to be much to do shopping nearby. There is a bus terminal nearby, but the area is not very safe. I recommend the hotel because there is a fairly good restaurant. I don't think they served alcohol, but it was very tasty.
I recommend taking UBER from the airport.

India's well-deserved hotel, luxurious decoration, first-class service, intimate and comfortable, rich breakfast, daily newspapers. It is completely isolated from the mess outside, just like being in two different worlds, it is worth staying.

My family and I stayed at this gorgeous place for over a week and enjoyed our stay. The owner, Mr. Abhinav Singh, personally takes care of every need of the tourists and goes the extra mile to make sure that the tourists are comfortable and are having a pleasant experience. The property is very immaculate, and all the famous places in Varanasi are nearby.
Mr. Abhinav Singh helped us organize our amazing trip to Varanasi, and also our awesome journey to Ayodhya Dham and Vidhyavasini Dham Shaktipeeth. The staff and drivers are always willing to help with a pleasant smile on their faces, they all are very kind, cooperative, respectful and warm people.
I recommend this Hotel Golden Lotus Varanasi to everyone. I am grateful to Mr. Singh, all the drivers and the staff. Many blessings to all.

GGuest Userplesant stay. we reached 6 hr before of our check in. They allowed us to stay, didn't charge extra. Reception counter staffs were very helpful. Rooms were clean, toilets also.
Very close to Shri Vishwanath mandir, u can say within mandir boundaries itself. 3 min slow walk from Gondoliya more, 5 min walk from mandir Singha dwar, 10 min walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Our return journey was from Deen Dayal staion, so pick up cabs were stationed 5km away from the hotel. Hotel staffs helped us to reach that spot ( obviously they took charges for it, but the service was too good, as all our group members were above 60 except myself ).
Nice stay. Good food at rooftop restaurant.
Highly recommended.

JJIMore than 400 stays, the door and a row of groceries paved together, the street is bustling. The surrounding environment is just like the chaos in other comments. I didn't want to get off if I didn't use the hotel's car pick-up. The room is fairly new, the shower switch is quite new, it is not convenient to twist, the hard hand hurts. I read the previous comment that there is no hot water. When I first tried it, I did not have hot water. It was a little warm. I tried the water temperature in the morning, noon, afternoon, evening, evening, and late at night. It seems that there is only hot water in the middle of the night and in the morning, and it is hot to the hot. I estimate that it is possible that the hotel's boiler capacity is limited, and there is no hot water when the water is at its peak. One thing to be reminded is that this hotel is a vegetarian hotel. No matter whether it is breakfast or Chinese, there is no egg, not to mention the meat. I don't know how the breakfast photos were taken when someone commented on it. Anyway, the hotel waiter said that there are no eggs. The hotel also did not have wine, but the waiter said that he could quietly send me to the room. When the waiter cleaned the room, I took away my personal toothpaste toothbrush. I called the room service to protest and knew that the situation would directly hang my phone. Stayed in the hotel for 3 days and used the hotel's car 3 times (receiving and sending local traffic). The first two services were very good. The driver was not easy. In the crowded road, the left and right sides of the needle were fully displayed to show the Indian driver's superb driving. Level. The driver of the third car was haunted, chatting all the way, keeping the speed at 20 yards, all the way was overtaken by other cars, and looked at the messy environment outside, I shrank back the hand that wanted to push the door. Fortunately, I have plenty of time to go to the airport. For the hotel to the airport pick-up and drop-off is 1000 rupees, I see a comment saying that I want 1200 rupees, I don't know if I am a big bargain this time.

BBartZelfNice place to stay in the bustling city of Varanasi, hotel is clean and all necessary amenities provide an excellent place to take a rest from the city that is pretty crazy. It is about four kilometers from the river Ganges. Breakfast is fine but not very extended, meals for dinner were good price wise.
The only issue we had was the way too loud noise of the air ventilation in the shower that took a lot of drama before it was turned off, a request that I had to repeat three out of four nights. Overall I would recommend this place though, it's professional and decent and an oasis compared to what you'll encounter once you get onto the streets.

The surrounding environment of the hotel is as dirty and messy as other cities in India, and the traffic jam is also serious. Fortunately, it is not too far from the famous Ganges Dasawamedo River Altar and Shiva Golden Temple, and the taxi is only 5 yuan.

PPabloMDwivedi Hotels Palace on Steps offers a mixed experience. The room was basic but stuffy and smelly, with unpleasant odors from the area below the windows. The hotel is slightly dated, yet the staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, close to Dashashwamedh Ghat, where you can enjoy a vibrant evening ceremony. The view from the room overlooking the river is breathtaking. Highly recommend dining at Aadha-Aadha Café for clean, tasty, and affordable meals. The rooftop ambiance is lovely. Mona Lisa Café is another great nearby option. Overall, a good stay for its location and views, despite minor issues.

GGuest UserUpgraded to a larger balcony room overlooking the buzzy street filled with pilgrims, sadhus, vendors, cows, monkeys etc a mere 200 m from Dashashweme Ghat we extended for teo further days .- 6 nights total. The street quieted overnight and we had no trouble sleeping.
Our host and family provided attentive service and good food, much appreciated after our trip and myself arriving a bit under the weather.
Rooms are spotless, modern ( updated recently?) with attractive decor. Very good value!
