Hotels Near Ganga River in Varanasi

This is a hotel that impressed us during our trip to India. The service was very attentive, although it only lasted for one night. We went to TAKE A BOATRUDE FOR CEREMONY at 5:15 in the morning. The hotel arranged a boatman and waiter on time to guide us on the boat, and prepared the blanket very thoughtfully. It is hard to imagine how cold we would be without the blanket. Then we went to breakfast. A waiter provided us with services. Usually they started the meal at 7 am, but because we left the hotel at 7 am, they prepared some hot meals in advance, and they were very warm. Then on time, the boatman and PORTER took us on board and went to Baiqiao to meet our driver. They didn't leave until they put the boxes in the car. The key point came, the driver whispered, the hotel front desk started to call him at 5 o'clock in the morning, and constantly reminded him that he must wait for us early, for fear that we were delayed or could not find him. In fact, we didn't tell the hotel in advance, we needed them to remind the driver and so on. We just told the front desk that we were departing at 10 o'clock and we needed to depart from the hotel at 7 o'clock. Makes the hotel more nervous than us, afraid of being late and so on. If you can't find any other hotel as per your budget and location near ghats then it could be an option. Rain water coming inside rooms. Not that much clean, but not dirty also. Just okay type.

This is a guest house in the city of Varanasi. About a 5-minute walk away is Kumiko's House, a legendary place for Japanese backpackers (although it's a legend, it still exists). There are many convenient cafes, shops and kiosks selling lassi and snacks nearby. The inside of the hotel is clean, and it's pretty quiet. This is a good thing because the city roads are narrow and there are scooters running around, so it's normal to be noisy. The bed was also soft which helped.

There was a local festival and the traffic around the hotel was blocked. I asked the hotel counter to help me call a taxi to the airport, but I had to wait at a very far intersection and the driver didn't understand English. The hotel owner and manager were very enthusiastic to talk to the driver. Confirmed to assist us in the three-way call and confirmed whether we got on the car smoothly. The room was clean and the bathroom was standard. The location was in a small alley very close to the Ganges, which required some searching.

The property was very clean, behaviour of the all the staffs including owner are so good, cooperative, food quality is purely home made and so tasty.

It's about a 10-minute walk from the ghat, and there are many restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, so it's convenient. The staff at the inn are also very friendly and helpful. There is a balcony on the top floor, which is breezy and has a good view, so it's very comfortable.

The rooms were super good. Maintenance was good. Allowed late check in. Provided extra bed for no cost. Didn’t rush us for check out. Room service was good. The boys really helped me carrying my luggage up to girija ghar. The only downside is that some construction/renovation was going on which was unpleasant.

My first visit to varanasi l. It was a excellent stay. The hotel is situated near the temple. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Nice hotel. Clean and nice bedroom. Big and new which is not common in Varanasi. Staff very kind and helpful. Restaurant a little dark and not as new as the rooms. Totally worthy to stay. Is relaxing going back to this hotel after the intensity of Varanasi day life.
