Stayed 2 nights for a meeting. Clean hotel, friendly staff, firm mattresses, good shower, free tea and coffee (not in room). Located on a very busy roundabout towards the south of the city. Buses nearby to get into centre (no 7) and beach (no 99). More of a backpackers, workers hotel. Not too many families, reception is basic, bar has seen better days (you have to get cold drinks from the fridge and pay at reception). Luckily my room faced the back of hotel away from continual traffic of the 4lane roundabout out the front. Avoided breakfast as looked very school canteen. 100 euro a night, but it was summer in a coastal city.

It’s conveniently situated in the commercial area of the city on Carrer Colón, one of Valencia’s main shopping streets. The hotel is within walking distance of the city’s biggest tourist sights, including the Marqués de Dos Aguas Palace, the cathedral and the central market. It’s also close to the metro with links to the airport and harbor, and convenient for the main train station and other public transport or sights such as the Oceanografic or Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

Very good hotel. I really recommend it. We stayed here for a few days and everything was excellent. From the cleanliness to the service. The room is small but has everything you need. If you want more size you can book different room categories. The staff is really professional and always willing to help you with city recommendations, restaurant reservations, they even booked a private tour for us. You can buy tickets for the tourist bus at the reception desk and they recommend a bike rental store that they always work with and is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. Valencia is a great city for bicycles. The location is FANTASTIC, right in the center, in the commercial street of Valencia and really close to everything. They have a small rooftop bar with great cocktails. The breakfast is excellent, very varied, with hot options that are cooked for you on the spot! We will definitely come back!

Nice spacious standard 2 room with comfortable kingsize bed.
All is very well provided in this hotel including traphal, corridors and lifts.
Breakfast is a big buffet with a huge choice of cold and warm, even cava is included!
A great plus point of this hotel is also the parking garage we could use.
Next time we go to Valencia we will certainly take this hotel back, super!

...spending 3 days here. Very satisfied with my room and bed, except I wish there would have been a refrigerator. Location is fabulous in my opinion with it being right next to the mall; I could walk there every day there and have a great variety of restaurants to choose from. I enjoyed breakfast very much and thought there was enough of a variety of items - no hot dishes to speak of though. Only saw bacon on my last morning which I enjoyed very much - too much. Staff is awesome, especially Andrea and Marta at Reception. OMG, I got a parking ticket in Valencia, and Andrea helped me research where to go and how to pay it off and whatnot. This was a big help to me, and I'm deeply grateful for her assistance. I think the price I paid was well worth particularly when you consider the parking is free. You really can't go wrong with Holiday Inn, can you?

I have read a lot of bad reviews, but this is our experience: -Hotel staff: 100/100 great attention! Very pleasant, they resolve anything (we were without a loader and we were charged the phone). The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. -Cleaning: everything was in perfect condition and cleaning was unpolluted. The beds were quite comfortable. Soft coats and cotton fit. Je suis scandalisé par cette hôtel j’ai effectué une réservation aujourd’hui dimanche 30 avril 2023 Je réserve une chambre pour 2 pour mes filles de onze et six ans et moi-même. Je me présente à l’hôtel à 19h10. Dans la réservation je n’ai pas stipulé que j’avais ma fille de six ans en sachant que le prix d’un adulte est à partir de 12 ans j’ai donc 2 enfants la dame me demande de rajouter au prix de ma réservation qui est quand même de 141€ 40€ qu’elle justifie en me disant qu’il y a trois personnes. Je lui explique que étant donné que la piscine est en travaux et qu’elle n’est pas fonctionnel qu’elle me fasse un geste commercial en sachant que j’ai deux enfants et que je suis la seule adulte. Elles ne veulent rien savoir et me disent qu’elles m’annulent la réservation qu’il n’y a pas de problème je trouve ça scandaleux après une journée de voyage mes filles sont fatiguées et elles me proposent de limite dégager je trouve ça d’un manque de professionnalisme elle se permettent de parler en espagnol de moi en sachant que je comprends ce qu’elles disent c’est un véritable manque de respect. J’ai l’habitude de séjourner dans la chaîne d’hôtel Ramada et là je suis tellement déçu que je ne ferais plus jamais de réservation dans cette chaîne La directrice de cette hôtel manque de respect et me dit que la piscine est ouverte de juin à septembre je n’ai jamais vu un hôtel avec une ouverture de piscine de trois mois sur leur site voilà ce qui est noté ( De retour dans notre hôtel contemporain, profitez d'une piscine extérieure, d'une salle de sport ouverte 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7 et d'un restaurant sur place) c’est complètement mensonger la moindre des choses c’est de le stipulé sur le site officiel A fuir car le manque de bienveillance et de professionnalisme manque cruellement dans cette hôtel si il était possible de mettre 0 je l’aurais fait.

GGuest UserThe great experience started at the time we stepped in through the door; We had an early flight so we have to wait our room some time. During that, hotel offered some Cava and other refreshments. Same great treatment continued the rest of our one week visit. The staff is absolutely pro and the Hotel is one of the best we have visited, very clean and quiet and the breakfast is best in town. Location is very good, and if you needed a taxi, the guys in the lobby were handling it over. Very strong recommendation.

CCindyTsangThe 24hr reception greeted us during the check in. Thats was quick and we felt welcomed.
Two small lifts brings us to our apartment which is 350fts square. The king-size bed and the sofabed are well prepared, so we can take my own bed. The sofa bed is just as good as the fixed bed.
The bathroom is spacious. Water is hot with strong water pressure.
The restaurant downstairs the hotel provided a welcome non-alcoholic drink and hotel buffet breakfast. Besides ham, buns and cheese. We can also have special meals from the kitchen like a dish of avocado, Salmon, scramble eggs with a toast. The dinner is also tasty with average spending at around €30-40 per person.
The apartment has washing machine. An individual space for clothes drying rack to dry out the clothes with hot air coming from outside. Everything is well designed with new refurbishment. You will just feel at home.
The kitchen stove, utensils and plates are provided. Everything is good.
Towels are clean and toilet papers are provided enough. The soaps smell good.
I am happy to come back again next time

It is worth mentioning that the service is full, the front desk lady is very nice.
Knowing that we were going to catch the train the next morning, I asked which train station very carefully (there are two, afraid that we will go wrong)
I left at 5 o'clock in the morning and didn't arrive at breakfast time. I helped pack it in advance and take it away. When I waited for the bus, I opened it and looked at it. It was too rich. ～ It was very good to serve from the perspective of the guests.

GGuest UserThis is a gem of a hotel providing excellent service in a modern environment and exceptional value for money. The hotel is a neat idea being built into an old building but providing new, clean rooms - clever design and great re-purposing of the building. Taxi cost around €25 from the airport. Rooms were clean with a very comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was better than I expected - it was well presented and had good choice. One of our party requires gluten free but she had no problem finding something suitable each day. The staff even went out of their way to find black tea bags to satisfy English tastes! The staff are great - all young providing a friendly, polite and professional service. The location is fantastic - only 15 mins walk from the cathedral, Turia garden is across the road and metro station (line 4) is 5 mins away which takes you directly to the beach. We walked everywhere (except to the beach) including to the City of Art and Science (easy to find by walking through Turia garden and following it round. For football fans Mestalla stadium is about 25 mins walk away. Overall it’s a great hotel for those wanting somewhere close to the city that require a comfortable bed, excellent shower and simple but excellent breakfast.

JJose TorranoI read comments from someone who complained about everything that if the elevators were slow, if the air conditioning if there was little hygiene…. Let's see, I'm not saying that there can't be a specific case, but for example, it seemed great to me, for the weekend I've been. As there are more than 12 floors, it is normal for the elevators to stop like in El Corte Inglés, but nothing is a problem, perfect hygiene, the bathroom accessories are all fabulous.
The weather was more than enough, we are in August with a heat wave and I have slept with a sabanita…. There is a children's games service, the pool without anyone grilling you in case you have something to drink there, the parking directly to the room and the cafeteria in the hall is a luxury.
So for my part I would return and if it helps you I think you will not regret it.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for 2 days with 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 9). Because the kids like Harry Potter, I asked for that room in advance via Booking.com. I got a response right away to confirm and when we arrived the kids were very happy with the room. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful (both in advance via chat and at the moment of our stay). We were early to check in and our room wasn’t ready so we could leave our luggage in their luggage room that’s next to the front desk. The room was big enough for what we needed. Some features were a bit outdated and could use a bit of an upgrade (for example the old showerhead or some yellow spots around the air-conditioning) but that didn’t bother us so much. The fact that it was very clean made up for the flaws. Breakfast was perfect as well. There was enough choice of fruit, pastries, bread, coffees, eggs… There was also enough for everyone. If something was out, the staff immediately brought out more. We would absolutely recommend this hotel when doing a city trip to Valencia. It’s in the heart of the old town and very close to the metro-stop Xativa and a few bus stops.

AAlbertRLocation is perfect. Just outside you can find many restaurants, shops and plazas. Really easy to find the nearest metro station. From the hotel location everything is really close to reach. Room is not quite spacious but it’s nice and clean. The only thing is that you can hear everything from the rooms beside but nothing to noisy.
I included breakfast for every morning. They have coffee machines, pastries, bread and cereals, cheese and ham, juices, yogurt and different kinds of milk.
If you don’t include breakfast, there’s a bakery and many restaurants just outside the hotel so you can figure out.
The staff was nice and kind.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Villacarlos in early May 2022 for eight days. My holiday was originally intended for April 2020, but the pandemic necessitated my having to postpone four or five times. A big thank you to the hotel for being so flexible with what was originally a non-amendable booking. Businesses which treated their customers well over Covid deserve recognition and customer loyalty for that. The hotel is on a tree-lined avenue just over a mile from the city centre; the walk into the city is very attractive, and the trees and Mediterranean vegetation in Turia park are superb. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfasts have a good range of foods. Elena and all the other staff treat guests as individuals, and are helpful and courteous. The hotel is reasonably priced, and is an excellent base for any tourist or traveller who wishes to explore Valencia and the surrounding region. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

GGuest UserLong weekend in Valencia. I chose this hotel due to its location, reasonable price, pool & rooms with balconies. Unfortunately my booking agents (lastminute.com) made it seem I was booking a balcony room but when I got to the hotel they had given us a basement room. Lastminute.com were less than helpful clearing up the misunderstanding, however the hotel were fabulous, moving us the day after to a lovely balcony room, which did overlook the back (parking & apartment blocks) this was actually better as the front is onto a busy main road! Facilities were fabulous, all staff welcoming & friendly, room was cleaned every day, toiletries provided (although no conditioner). We didn't book for breakfast as we don't eat it, so can't comment on that! Had pool to ourselves most of the time & it was small but adequate, clean & sauna was nice. Situation was perfect as in middle between museums/oceanographic & main city centre, about 20 min walk to each & bus to beach was 1.50€, every 10 mins. Would definitely come again.

The reception is very welcoming, with vintage furniture and wooden beams showcasing a traditional style of old buildings in Valencia.
Room is small but clean, with red brick wall and a simple toilet but fully equipped: clean towels, shampoo, body gel, body lotion, hair dryer, etcetera.
The highlight is definitely the jacuzzi at the rooftop. When we arrived, we were a bit disappointed at first, since it was covered, however we kindly asked the staff who helped us to remove the protective cover and to turn the jacuzzi on. We enjoyed it alone overlooking the Valencia rooftops. Not the best view over the city skyline, but good enough to relax. The water in the jacuzzi was not warm, however given the summer heat it was good enough. Don’t expect any service at the rooftop though, so bring your own towels (or from the room) and drinks if you want to enjoy your time there.
