Lake Palace floating in the middle of Lake Pichola is a classic image of Udaipur. This historic building is no longer a royal palace but a hotel. LP calls it a world-renowned hotel. This may be an overstatement. But the first time I saw it in a magazine in white years ago, I remembered it.         Looking at the palace in the water from different angles by the lake will make people curious, especially in the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset. So the next night, I boarded the lake palace from a special dock near the lake. There are yachts on Lake Pichola, but they are only open during the day. It is a rare opportunity to take a boat at night, especially looking at the lights reflected on the water of the city palace and lake palace. The moment is really beautiful, and sitting Boat to the hotel in the middle of the lake is even more special experience.         From landing to entering the hotel lobby, there will be several staff to guide, welcome speech, take luggage, order cinnabar, hand towels and welcome drinks, and so on. The division of labor is clear. These are the standard procedures for this type of hotel. The welcome petals were sprinkled from the upstairs terrace. No one was visible in the darkness, and there was a feeling of falling from the sky. After Check in, my sister in Sari took me to the room. The hotel is large, and my room is on the other side. I followed her along the way to observe her gait. I have to say that Indian women walking in sari are really swaying.         In addition to its special location and history as a palace, one of the reasons for this hotel's famousness may have appeared on the big screen as the scene of ”Octopus” in the 007 series of 1983 films. However, I don't have much impression of this movie, and the look from the lobby to the room has made me a little disappointed. It is not as magnificent as I thought, and there is a trace of oldness. The hotel upgraded the room type for me free of charge. The view from the lake view room was very good.         I got up early the next morning, opened the curtains, and there was already light on the lake outside. Looking up from the hotel, the slightly cool air is very fresh, and the city and lake in the morning light are quiet and dreamy, making people feel refreshed. After watching the morning scenery, I walked around. There is no second guest who wakes up early in the large hotel, which gives me a kind of exclusive joy. The pure white hotel looks noble and elegant, and the garden is exquisite, but I still think it is overly praised in all travel guides.         Had lunch at the hotel before check out, and luckily chose the best location. Looking out of the pavilion, the city palace on the opposite side looks like gold-plated in the sun. Pigeons glide across the sparkling water, and the dinghies that transport guests from time to time shuttle on the lake. Maybe hundreds of years ago, the princes were here, and they looked at the beautiful city they created with satisfaction.

Excellent stay with the family. A little rough and lengthy check in, noisy corridors with people shouting across the halls and balconies even late at night. BESIDES the above we had a fantastic stay. Very courteous and helpful staff and teams, great housekeeping, superb breakfast. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

World class service, more than that very personalized In fact, we had some sickness in the family and the hotel was very ”homely”, took care of the kids like their own Facilities were really good Food was wholesome, when we ordered a dish, several snacks, salad etc were offered in addition to the entree I would recommend this ”palace” to anyone wanting to have an experience of feeling like royalty or family

The hotel that is really in the city palace complex needs to use the hotel's pass card to enter and exit the gate of the palace complex. The lobby, restaurant and bar are the main building of the hotel. However, it is slightly shabby, and the corners of the old facilities have mold spots and poor sound insulation. In short, it is like a small building that was previously occupied by people. Breakfast can be ordered a la carte, and the recommended leg of lamb for dinner is delicious. It is full of butter, and it is a real candlelight dinner ~

very good quality of food food quality was really good.this is the first time i have visited in udaipur it was really great experience.the view from the property is really wonderful I surely recommend for family visit because it also near by the beautiful Fateh Sagar Lake also near by the local tourist sports i will like to thanks all the staff member and special thanks to puspa she is really helpful.

We spent 2 nights at Taj Fateh Prakash last week and came away bowled by the gorgeous decor, elegant ambience, stunningly beautiful views and exceptional art-work and heritage artefacts in every nook and corner! The entry to the hotel itself is SO charming...with the lake-facing entrance beautifully decorated ...added to which guests are being welcomed everytime you arrive, with a folk-musician playing the traditional Ravanhatha , the melodies of which just captures one's heart! Our room had a common lake-facing balcony and was very spacious, tastefully decorated, with beautiful fixtures and best quality of flooring, furniture and bathroom accessories. The view from the room/balcony was the icing on the cake - we could gaze at the gorgeous lake , see the beautiful houseboats and Lake Palace hotel, mountain tops etc accompanied by a stunning sunset skyline! The start to our stay was with the Heritage Walk conducted by our very knowledgeable and utterly helpful guide, Suresh ...who not only told us delightful facts about the miniature paintings and history behind each painting/artifact, the royal Darbar Hall & other rooms , but also recommended a genuine store selling beautiful miniature paintings etc ; plus assisted us in arranging a good Darshan at Eklingji & Naathdwara. His tour of the City Palace was also fantastic with so many interesting stories he narrated! Our historical/heritage walk was doubly enhanced thanks to such an experienced and warm person like Suresh! All the staff at Taj are very attentive & courteous; especially would recommend our room attendant and the restaurant staff who were always enquiring about our comfort & requirements & attending to them promptly. The food was awesome too with Breakfast which had enormous variety of Indian & Continental items...and dinner too had interesting not-so-typical-Indian dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed! The chef Rajeshji was very affable and voluntarily shared some recipes with me once I praised certain dishes. Another sweet gesture was when Taj kept for us a cake in our room and decorated our room with balloons, when they learnt it was our anniversary. A wonderful thing organised by the hotel is the Sandhya Arati (like the Ganga Arati ) and traditional folk singing & dance in the evening. The traditional dancers and singers were truly awesome; it was a fantastic performance ! I found Udaipur a very romantic city, and also a very clean city with plenty of places to visit, soaked in history & having interesting local food. Our stay was enhanced multifold because of the perfect stay at Taj amidst such gorgeous surroundings and in a place steeped with beauty , royalty and history. recently had the pleasure of staying at Taj Aravali, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable, with friendly and professional staff making check-in seamless and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, offering a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the amenities provided were top-notch.

We wanted to see the Old City Palace, Templeton and experience some rooftop cafes and restaurants plus walk around the narrow streets in the old town, so being 30 mins away made it tough to travel in/out. Hotel Transportation was expensive. Airport is 45 mins away. We managed to find cheaper local taxis and tuk tuks. As said tge property is great but more as a retreat to relax rather than a base to sight see.
