"The location is very good, directly in the pedestrian zone; parking is convenient, clean and comfortable, the front desk is enthusiastic, and the water radish for breakfast is cut into cute shapes. The room is a little small. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the city wall, and it is very convenient to see the holy mausoleum under the sunset.
The disadvantage is that it is too popular. I wanted to stay for another night, but when I woke up in the morning, there was no room. It is recommended to book in advance, especially on weekends, when many people from other cities in Kazakhstan come to worship or visit.
I like Turkestan. This city is as beautiful as the ideal city of the Turks. The museum is better than its national museum, and there is no need to queue for ”Flying over Kazakhstan”; many projects are still under construction, and they look thriving. And the police are nice, unlike those in Almaty..."
"There are two KARAVANSARAY hotels on the property - one which is a family hotel with children's activities and the other, more luxury style hotel. We were upgraded to the duplex room at the luxury style KARAVANSARAY. To say that the amenities and service of the amazing staff are top-notch is an understatement. There's a spa, steam rooms, Turkish bath, and massages available. The bar and 24 hour room service were a pleasant surprise. My only regret is that we only stayed one night in this fabulous hotel, but we will definitely return. My one critique is that our room was exceedingly hot; we couldn't adjust the thermostat and ultimately resorted to opening the balcony door to cool down the room. Other than this minor issue, KARAVANSARAY hotel far exceeded our expectations!"
"I booked a room through Trip.com from October 4th to 6th at the Rixos Turkistan hotel. I arrived on the night of October 5th, around 3:30 AM, from Astana. Upon check-in, I discovered I had been given the wrong room. Instead of a 35 sq. m. room, I was given a smaller one.
I called reception to clarify. The receptionist said they were sold out of rooms in my category; there were only four such rooms on the floor. Essentially, my room had been rescheduled for other guests, even though the reservation had been confirmed and paid for.
The receptionist promised to change my room that afternoon and compensate me for the inconvenience. They did indeed change my room, but I received no compensation.
The hotel itself is comfortable and clean, and the staff is polite, but the reservation discrepancy and lack of compensation left a bad impression. I would like the hotel to be more responsible with their confirmed guest reservations."
