Super 8 by Wyndham Tucson Downtown Convention Center

Similar to a motel, low price and good health. The breakfast included is very general, too sweet to eat at all, but fortunately there is coffee, you can drink a cup of coffee, eat two slices of bread.

I am a Platinum Elite member and stay often at Holiday Inn Express (HIE) locations because I know what I am getting each stay. Spent 2 nights Dec 30 - Jan 1 with my teenage daughter. The staff are some of the best I have interacted with in years at a hotel. Friendly and seem to care about the guest experience. Not just 1 or 2 but all of them. Easily ranks top 2 in staff at the properties I have stayed at. The hotel itself is essentially the same as all HIE locations. Rooms are the same across the properties with a 'local' feeling to the lobby and pool. The pool was open and lobby/breakfast area clean and comfortable. The room I was in could use an update but overall I would rate it average across all the properties I have stayed at. HIE offers the same hot breakfast everywhere but does have a rotating menu for some variety on multile night stays. Is is a 5 star meal...no but it will fill you up and keep you going until lunch. I had a small billing issue that I called IHG about when I got home. I tried handling it before departure but I left very early in the morning and the front desk gal couldn't figure out what went wrong. IHG indicated I would get a call from the hotel within 48 hours. Less than 30 minutes later the General Manager of the property called me and we had the issue sorted very quickly. The error was corrected the next day on my credit card statement. I would not hesistate to stay here again.

Price wasn’t bad. As a whole the hotel looks pretty good, lobby area was nice, employees were friendly. But first I booked a double Queen and they moved my family of 4 to a single king and gave me a rollaway. At first glance the room looked ok but upon closer look it was fairly dirty. Dead bugs in all the lights, stains on the bedding, dead bug smashed on the wall, markings and dirty on the walls. Doors have a sizeable gap at the bottom and walls are thin so you hear everything. And during the 3 nights we were here people were very loud and inconsiderate of other guests, slamming doors, running down the hallway. The rollaway was completely stained over most of the bed. Over all very meh stay.

The hotel is clean and the price is relatively cheap, but the breakfast is simple, mainly bread, omelettes, fruit, cakes, etc. Waffles, we won't do it ourselves. In addition, it is best not to live on the first floor. Their hotel is different from our domestic hotel. The first floor has doors in all directions, so guests can come and go at any time. Arranged for me 138 The room was right next to the door. One person who was out in the middle of the night woke up. It was difficult to fall asleep when I was on a business trip, and then I lost sleep all night. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, but don't wash the good clothes. Some of my shirts are not wrinkled. The hotel can pick up and drop off to the airport for free. The location is right next door and opposite the Hilton and Sheraton hotels. There is also a restaurant R+R Bar&Grill. It tastes good, but I don't have a single atmosphere. This hotel does not have a restaurant itself

We liked the look of the outside and expected the inside to be nicer, especially being a Marriott. The room was spacious and clean, but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, leading to not much sleep. The TV was in a spot parallel to the bed making it hard to watch, and we had to rearrange the furniture in order to unfold the sleeper couch (which was completely unmade, and the bedding was stored in a bag in the closet). Seeing as how we paid $300 for the night I was expecting a whole lot more. I've stayed at hotels for less and received a lot more in the way of amenities, convenience and better service (there was no one at the front desk to check out in the morning and I had to walk around looking for an employee, who just told me to leave my key at the desk, and then proceeded to carry on with her conversations with the other employee). I will definitely not be staying here again unless it's the last room in the ENTIRE city of Tucson.
