Check-in was smooth. I was fortunate to get an upgrade to Executive Level so breakfast was complimentary, and we stayed on the top floor. Thank you, Katherine!! Our room faced north and had a great view of the beautiful mountains. Very nicely decorated room, spacious, very firm bed (my wife liked it better than I did), comfortable settee. Beautiful walk-in shower (no tub). Breakfast buffet was fine but not great (lower-quality bacon, instant eggs vs real, good fresh cut fruit and pastries; they also had potatoes, cold cereal, oatmeal, and more). They did have excellent chicken wings at dinner time at the on-site restaurant. Overall we found the staff to be pleasant, providing good service. It's a fun hotel visually, has glass elevators, and it was a good value, even before the generous upgrade.

We have offered this feedback to corporate and property general management via email with no reply. Sadly, due to the issues that we experienced we probably won't be visiting again. Its a beautiful property but the staff and issues we experienced don't allow us to highly recommend. (+)At check-in my wife had a helpful and excellent experience with Jaime Ortiz. He took the time to help her get our family and our luggage to the room since I had not arrived yet. He is to be commended for his genuine attention and how truly eager he was to help. (-)My wife enjoyed cocktails from the Azul lounge and unfortunately received very aloof service from the female bartender with dark hair and glasses. I also experienced this same level of dissatisfactory service from this particular bartender on a separate occasion on Saturday. (-) Saturday morning our room was covered by black ants. My wife called the front desk and asked that housekeeping or maintenance please come to the room to address the issue. The issue was not taken care of until a few hours later while we were at the pool. (+) Saturday, we spent our breakfast at Azul and Tommy was our server. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. He made recommendations for entrée selections and interacted with our children in a genuine way. (+) We spent Saturday late morning and early afternoon at the pool and Andrea helped us with our alcohol and food order. She was very sweet and checked on us as she saw us around at the different pools. (+) We booked our 2 children into the Kids Club from 5:50pm-7:50pm on Saturday. Hannah was efficient in the reservation and check in process. Our children detailed that they had fun. (+) We wanted to enjoy some tapas from Contigo while our kids were in the Kids Club but didn’t know how to get there. We went to the front desk and Andrianna actually came around the desk and walked us to the door to ensure we had correct directions. She was the 2nd employee, from Jaime (mentioned earlier) that went above and beyond to help my family. (+) At Contigo our experience was perfection, which we hadn’t experienced at La Paloma up to the point unfortunately. My wife made sure to ask for the manager, Jorge, and share that Erin O and our server Danny V were such great staff members throughout our meal! (-) We returned to our room to see that the ants were still prevalent now having gotten into all of my children’s snacks and a dozen cookies we had delivered to the hotel for our children as a Saturday night surprise. Ants were in my son’s shoes and our carryon bags. It was a mess and my wife had to spend some time on her staycation cleaning our room and hotel furniture, and throwing out so much food! (-) We went to breakfast again at Azul on Sunday morning and Michelle was our server. She forgot to fulfill some of our small requests and our drinks were not refilled in our meal. We have stayed at this hotel two other times. It has been remodled. No more carpet which is good very clean. Comfortable beds, the shower was awesome as was the staff. Jimmica was awesome, had to give her a hug before we left

I read a lot of reviews on this place prior to booking which were mixed, but tried to ignore the bad because I needed an affordable option. The property itself it very nice, it looks like it was quite the resort when new, it’s just a little tired. Carpets in common area were old and dirty, but I did see someone cleaning them on my last day. Being an animal friendly hotel, the room did have an unpleasant smell, but I bought a couple air fresheners and it helped. I had a third floor room with a pool and Mountain view, it was a large corner room and that was really nice. Fitness center was ok, dumbbells were missing. Breakfast had a lot of options and they tried to have different options every day. Staff was friendly. If they replaced the carpet, it would really make a big difference. Overall, I felt safe, did not see any bugs, and would stay here again.

A few blocks walk from downtown, but within walking distance, the view of the church in front is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and polite, the room is also large and clean.

We stayed 4 nights at the end of May and found this hotel to be a pleasure. The room was clean and stocked and very large for my family of 3. Staff were very friendly. Parking was a little tight especially since it was a holiday weekend but never had an issue. Plenty of places to eat in the area and pool was nice. Their restaurant was not opened yet but the breakfast seemed packed every morning. The hotel could use a little updating and fixing up. Some loose outside tiles by one of the entry gates and are room could have used a new coat of paint to hide the evidence that there was once a major roof leak but still enjoyed the room. AC unit was loud when watching tv but at least it was cold air. Will definitely stay here again when visiting family in the future.

There is an American breakfast, the restaurant is not big, there is no place to sit at the peak, the room space is OK, the curtains can not be opened during the day, because the window is outside the corridor, some people pass by. Not in the urban area, you need to drive to the city, parking is convenient.
