We stayed at OceanV, Grand Baie for 7 nights and we absolutely LOVED our stay. We took the “all inclusive” package and I can really recommend this option as this really makes the entire holiday more enjoyable, no need to stress about paying for any drinks, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Inclusive package review: You get a set menu for lunch and dinner which is always decent. My wife is a fussy eater but always managed to find something to eat. For dinner you can also choose options off the main menu which helps when the kitchen is a bit adventurous with the set menu. The drinks that are included are three types of beer, three types of wine, 8/9 cocktails and three mocktails as well as a wide range of cooldrink and hot beverages. This was really sufficient and if you do want to try anything else, you can always just order from the bar. Room and service review: The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful. The room was perfect, amazing view of the sea and an aircon that we had on the entire time and worked perfectly. The staff cleaned the room and bathroom everyday, no complaints, just compliments. Trips/Excursions: We did not use the hotel’s recommended service providers as they were a bit expensive. We went on a catamaran trip, initially using the hotel connection but after they cancelled we were able to find Coral Belle, a very professional catamaran trip company who have three catamaran’s that go to the islands every day, they have a little shop in sunset boulevard - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We took the bus everywhere, Grand Baie for shopping and Port Louis for the day trip - really worth it regarding the price 24 rs from Pereybere to Grand Baie and 44 rs from Pereybere to Port Louis. Recommended to wait for the express bus to Port Louis if you can, the normal bus takes a quite while longer. Finally, the beach is walking distance, 300m, and we were able to walk around to the beach right in front of the hotel for privacy and less crowded. All Round: We would come back and recommend!!!

Where shall I start...Our stay way pretty perfect! Most of you know Mauritius for the big hotel areas, so it was an absolute miracle that we found this lil gem on the island. We had a wonderful 9 days at the SALT of Palmar. We loved that it was super tiny, and very familiar, every corner had a special detail and the service was superb. The staff really makes you feel at home. If you are looking for a Mandarin Oriental Standard, then this won't be the right one. But what this hotel had, is a lot of soul and personality. Rooms: Book a room with a sea view. We had one, but I would say that that's the magic of it. You will realize quite fast that the hotel is refurbished, so here and there you see that it's not 100% up to date, but it really doesn't matter. The rooms were super clean, and spacious and had a great personalized interior. Housekeeping in the morning and also for turndown service did a great job. Thanks to the team! You will see that TV is missing and also Mini-Bars, but that's why you have chosen a Lil boutique hotel over a big chain. Beach: The beach is beautiful, clean, and located around the corner, so u don't get the feeling that it's getting crowded with too many guests, what I loved. The pool is nice, but there could be more sunbeds. Be aware that you are on the eastern side, so when u arrive in August or September, it's very windy and may get chilly. While in November, you will be happy to have the breeze. Snorkelling: Yes, you can snorkel, and you will see fish. But don't expect reef-like on the Maledives for sure. Food: ONE OF A KIND. If you are looking for endless buffets and a big choice just to look at, this won't be your cup of tea. The food was just amazing. Very individualized menu, a big variety. We didn't eat twice the same. The breakfast menu was outstanding and so was the coffee (which usually always sucks in hotels). Nevertheless, you have to say that if you wanna dishes outside the included menu or wines, they are quite expensive (even for Europeans). The only experience, where we were not really stunned, was the cocktails at any point. Watery, not really strong etc. Foodservice: A very big thanks to the service team. you made our experience stunning, also the way you took care of my parents and everything around my mom's birthday. An exceptional stay at the resort, with 5 star treatment by all of the hotel staff. All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families. The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate! Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained. Kevin and his team will be sure that you leave with the biggest smile on your face after each meal! Well done team!

There are not many comments about this hotel, so I will introduce it to you very seriously. We booked the Nirvana room type. This room type is only for adults. It is the farthest area on the side of the hotel. Breakfast is also a separate restaurant with a separate swimming pool. There are few people, quiet and beautiful scenery. This is why I chose Le Méridien this time. . The main course of the breakfast restaurant is à la carte, and the taste is very good. The main reason is that the scenery by the sea is particularly beautiful. The biggest advantage is that there are few people and quietness. It is really suitable for lying down. The room is slender, and there is a small swimming pool on the back balcony that has never been used. The room should have been refurbished, and you can see traces of refurbishment, not exquisite. The hotel environment and service are not bad. There are many free items in the seaside boat house. We took a glass bottom boat and went snorkeling offshore. The hotel's dinner buffet was really not good, and it didn't meet the Chinese appetite. I didn't dare to try others. In the next few days, we drove 2 hours back and forth to eat Chinese food outside. The hotel environment is very beautiful, and the overall stay experience is good

We were super happy with our choice and had a magnificent stay. The compound is more like a village and the traditional houses amidst the tropical garden combined with lots of natural material and modern design give it a calming, laid back and yet luxurious vibe. The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. For a while you can almost feel like part of a mauritian family ... The garden is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, simple but tasteful. Everything is kept very clean and neat. We can especially recommend the mauritian a la carte restaurant (which is included) that highlights mauritian cuisine in a modern, classy way. The cocktails are great (wines not so much though), the coffee was good (!) and the offer at the restaurant is more than enough and various. We really liked all those ”little” extras like the (drinking)water fountains spread across the compound, the tea bar, the also free possibilities to rent kayaks or pedalos and go on a boat trip to go snorkeling or swimming in the lagoon. That was great! They also really try to make an effort sustainability-wise like instead of using sugar and cream in single packages it comes in jars and jugs and also in the room you get a lovely tray with little glass jars filled with coffee and tea. Super cute! The little boutique sells a well chosen variety of local and sustainable souvenirs and even considering the entertainment they are keeping it local and support not only local culture but well chosen artists. We felt close to mauritian culture, well looked after and basked in the tasteful ambiance! It was magnifique. Merci a tous

Booked an appartment at Villa Narmada as close to all amenities. 5 mins to Grand Baie shopping mall and 10 to the beach set in a residential area. Ruth and her staff were very welcoming, always asking if all ok. Appartment very spacious and spotless. Asked for a late check out because of flight time back to UK and offered at no extra cost which was very much appreciated. We wanted for nothing and will return as the experience of their clients are paramount. Thank you for a lovely stay.

You will find him on the beach, armed with an unbeatable selection of cocktail recommendations. Kris was not only an employee of the hotel but became a friend who enriched our stay.
