By far, the best place we stayed on our 3-week trip from Tuscany to Sicily was Portercole in Tropea. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and close to stores, restaurants, and access to the beach. However, the most outstanding features are Biagio and Sharon. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special. Included was daily breakfast at Da Vinci, owned by Biagio and Sharon, which was delicious and filling. We found Tropea beautiful and easy to navigate. It was not overly crowded, and we were able to eat at restaurants without reservations. Watching the sunset was a daily pleasure. If we had known how beautiful the area was, we would have stayed much longer. We will return……

The owners Sharon & Biagio went above and beyond to make our stay special. The accommodation was spotless, in a great location and had all you could wish for (& more!), with extra details like a beach bag with towels and flipflops.very much appreciated. The breakfast in their gelataria opposite was lovely & all the staff were really friendly. Highly recommended- we would return in a heartbeat!

This is our 3rd visit to Tropea and the Portercole is one of favorite B&Bs. The rooms are nicely decorated, modern, and clean. The proprietors, Sharon and Biagio, are very helpful and friendly and help with reservations and other arrangements. Location is perfect and all sites are available within walking distance. Parking is available, reserve ahead of time. Breakfast is included and currently at La Dolce Vita (cafe) across the street, is delicious and has a lot of variety (including eggs). Great stay and great value!

I had originally rejected staying here because of its proximity to the pedestrianised town centre - fearing street noise. We pitched up here anyway after rejecting our booking at a place on the edge of the town with sea views. We were given the attic room, which although not large and had no view it was very comfortable and had a large bathroom. The thick walls of the property and the efficient double glazing meant that the room was silent and we slept very well. Breakfast is at a cafe opposite and was NOT the usual Italian affair of coffee and a croissant! We had a free choice of whatever and how much we wanted from the menu - including eggs. The owners were very helpful and friendly, I strongly recommend staying her. It was great to be at the heart of this enchanting town.

B&B in centro comodo e con ogni confort, pulizia 10 e lode! Ragazzi stupendi che ti coccolano…soprattutto nel loro bar Da Vinci bar dove ci si reca per fare colazione, ma non solo … abbiamo provato gelato super… granita eccellente, aperitivo speciale….

Ein sehr angenehmer und schöner Aufenthalt! Das B&B ist sehr zentral gelegen. Man hat alles was man braucht und das Frühstück war immer sehr lecker! Der Strand ist in 2 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen und die Innenstadt ist quasi direkt vor der Haustür. Die Eigentümer waren alle beide sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Jederzeit wieder 👍🏼

"Portercole" è un piccolo gioiello di inestimabile valore: ubicato in posizione assolutamente privilegiata rispetto a ... praticamente tutto, ha nell' accoglienza dei suoi impareggiabili titolari, nel comfort delle 4 camere e nell'ottima colazione, i suoi punti di forza. Abbiamo trascorso 5 giorni splendidi alla scoperta della meravigliosa - e a noi finora purtroppo sconosciuta - Costa degli Dei, coccolati dalla dolcezza di Sharon e dalla simpatia di Biagio, prodighi di utilissimi consigli e divertenti aneddoti ! La nostra stanza, una delle 2 mansarde, sempre perfettamente riordinata e pulita, era dotata anche di macchina del caffè; il bagno,spazioso e comodissimo. A nostra disposizione, inoltre, anche teli mare e ciabattine per la spiaggia! La colazione, al mattino, spaziava dalla frutta fresca (con fichi provenienti addirittura dal giardino del papà di Biagio!) alle brioches di pasticceria (e non scongelate al microonde !) , passando per yogurt, cereali, marmellate,... senza trascurare la parte salata e le bevande calde preparate espresse! In conclusione, "Portercole " è stata per noi una di quelle scoperte che non vorresti condividere con nessuno, ma tenerle gelosamente solo per te, tanto sono uniche e speciali ! Elena e Damiano

Consiglio questo B&B per la posizione strategica, la struttura è sorprendentemente bella, elegante, pulita, moderna e comoda. L'ospitalità e la disponibilità ci ha lasciati a bocca aperta, rara da trovarsi, il tutto accompagnato da una splendida colazione, niente da invidiare a quella degli hotel. Ringraziamo Biagio e Sharon per averci coccolati tutto il periodo della vacanza. Prenotate senza esitare.
