Fairly small hotel very well located about 5 minutes’ walk from P. Borsa or the canal area. We relocated to here after arriving at a different hotel we had booked which turned out to be awful. They couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. We ended up booking into a suite and the contrast with the ‘cell’ from which we’d escaped couldn’t have been greater. We had ample space, proper storage, and clean bedding. That said, had we been booked here initially we might have been more concerned with some surprising deficiencies. No tissues, desk space, clothes drawers, kettle, tea or coffee making gear; 5 chairs but no armchair, dodgy air-conditioning. The room was surprisingly spartan for a suite. Breakfast is typical small Italian hotel, tinned fruit, no hot cooked food, lots of bread and cake, cheese and meats, all served very clean and neat. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in an extremely convenient street 5 minutes from Piazza dell'Unita and 15 minutes walk from the stations ( bus and train). . It is a smallish family-run hotel, thoroughy and sensitively modernised. The staff, some of whom are family members, are most helpful and went out of their way to give me good advice including for Venice. My room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is OK but not exceptional. I preferred to go out to one of the nearby historic cafes. The only criticism I have is that the price almost doubled for my final night because there was a conference in Trieste. I was not involved in this and it seemed an exceptionally steep increase, probably for people whose companies were paying for them which certainly did not apply to me.

Small hotel and so are the room and bathroom and halls, but very clean. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. A bit complicated with the parking : Place to unload for short and a short walk away, then an expensive and far away unknown parking where you have to leave your car to a third party driver. Breakfast OK and additional - appreciated - complimentary - Italian - coffee for the parking waiting.

Even though it has a clean room and bathroom and a perfect location, there are serious problems with the hygiene of glasses and cutlery offered at breakfast, which is very limited. We also don't like the service and education of the employees who are always in a bad mood. Honestly, I recommend looking for another alternative in Trieste.

Good central location, about 10 minute walk from the train station. Lovely, helpful management and staff. Breakfast was good quality with omelettes, eggs etc. to order if the buffet isn't enough. Rooms are a bit on the small side but perfectly fine if all you need is a place to sleep, beds and pillows are comfy and bathrooms are excellent with brilliant showers. You do get a bit of noise if your room faces the street but nothing that can't be slept through. There's a small bar for a nightcap stocked with lots of local liqueurs. All in all a really nice place, would definitely stay there again if in Trieste.

It is with regret that I observe several shortcomings in the hotel, which significantly fall below the standards expected of a 4-star establishment, or at the very least, are not adequately communicated compare to the price range you charge. I would like to detail my further observations below: Services - Parking: The lack of free parking and the distant, expensive alternatives undoubtedly hinder the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Parking is an important consideration for guests, and I would suggest considering providing free or discounted parking options. In the meantime, it is crucial to clearly communicate the available options to avoid any confusion among guests. General Comfort - Air Conditioning: The old and noisy air conditioning not only disrupts sleep but also introduces unpleasant noise and dry air, causing additional issues. Replacing or maintaining such equipment would enhance the overall comfort experienced in the rooms. General Comfort - Room Size: The cramped layout of the rooms and the dry air from the AC collectively have a negative impact on guests' relaxation and comfort also causes dry cough and skin dry. A more spacious and comfortable design would improve the overall guest experience, but at the very least, guests should be informed if they are booking a room with these conditions. Decoration and Design: Based on reviews, the bathroom seems to be the only noteworthy element in terms of design. It is essential to enhance the design and decoration throughout the entire hotel to meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. Based on the overall experience, I feel that the current state of the hotel is more in line with a 3-star or lower Airbnb accommodation, and it does not justify the current pricing.

firstly, i just need to say how stunningly beautiful Trieste is. it was one of the big surprises on our trip and we are so glad that we spent 4 nights here. Hotel Coppe did not disappoint. perfect location, all the staff were friendly and helpful. we did not have the breakfast option. room was good and bathroom clean. we are so glad to have stayed here and would do so again without hesitation. (i feel bad about mentioning this next part as we rarely find anything to complain about. the bed was extremely hard and this si the first time we have experienced anything like this in all our travels. not the end of the world but it was definitely noticeable so just thought i would mention it).

What a shame that the highest rating available is “excellent”. There should be one for “Way above and beyond” to describe my experience at Hotel Coppe. The owner, Monica Coppe, is one of nature’s super-kind people who went out of her way to make my unexpected stay enjoyable. The hotel is a charming, renovated, historic building with comfortable rooms and beds, a fine staff and splendid cuisine, all in the old city. In fact, I think my stay there was as nice as the Mediterranean cruise I had just been on. Well done and a big thanks, Monica and staff!👏
