Good food choices and very yummy. Staff are friendly and always happy to help. The pool is big enough and coming out of season meant less children. The hotel closed the day we left and we were able to our luggage. No late check out (usually €50) due to closure but we were able to use the lunch and all facilities until 3pm. The beach is 5 minutes walk and sun beds are reasonable. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would come back, although we only stayed for three night. I wouldn't spend a week here due to a lack of close by day options and the evening entertainment might get a little boring.

Welcoming and friendly staff, we had no problem at all with the reception staff as reported in other reviews. Always treat staff as you would like to be treated and you will have no problems, I saw a couple being arrogant with the staff and they got the short treatment they deserved without the staff being rude (very well managed in my opinion). Overall the hotel is very clean and well maintained, that said the pool area needs a bit of maintenance (loose pool ladders and tiles) but as we had visited well into the season it is to be expected. I expect deep maintenance will be done off-season when the hotel is not as full. We did have a problem with a water leak in our room that was dripping into the room below, we didn’t even know about it, the staff informed us and arranged a replacement room. The replacement room was fine, the only downside was the location, it was in the main corridor from reception and guests seem to ignore the signs for quiet! Food was good, plentiful, and varied, with most nights having a theme to the cooking. Yes you can always get pizza and chips but if you are willing to try other cuisines you will not be disappointed. The only food complaint was more around the drinks, even though there are coffee barista machines behind the bars, the bar staff point you back to the all inclusive drink machines that produce a very poor coffee substitute! The system for releasing sub beds is very good but seems to rely heavily on the lifeguards policing it. It should be used more regularly than it is, it appears that they only do the rounds when they remember rather than regularly. A suggestion would be to add a clock above the pool bar that could be viewed from everywhere in the pool area to save swimmers taking valuables to the pool. The beach is only a short walk away and is cleaned every day, sun beds can be hired for €7 a day or there are areas in between the beach clubs where you can just put down a towel for free. Also within the same area are lots of bars and restaurants if you grow tired of buffet food.

We have mixed views about this hotel. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk down the hill to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. Most nights we preferred to go out for a number of reasons. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room, with balcony and see view was lovely. However, the hotel was far from perfect. I would not recommend the all inclusive, the food was awful although plenty of it. We only really ate the salads and cold meats served by the pool daily, otherwise we ate out. The drinks were ok. The staff at the pool side bar were lovely and so helpful. Good luck with everyone else! The entertainment staff were rude and the young French man clearly had an issue with English guests. There could be a reason for this but when you are nothing but polite as a guest on holiday, you expect this back - regardless of your nationality! Unfortunately, other staff and guests were the same, so if your English be prepared for this. It is a largely Dutch/French hotel and whilst some were lovely, others were not. It was a real shame. We travel as a couple and family often and you expect a certain degree of hostility but not on this scale. I’ve never had to warn others within a review. We would absolutely visit Torremolinos again, the beach, bars and restaurants were great but sadly, not the hotel.

I would describe this hotel as somewhere that I am glad we came as a family, but, not somewhere that we would return unless some improvements are made. This hotel is family friendly, but not necessary child friendly. We found our son getting bored due to lack of activity options outside of the group events. Positive: The hotel is located in a lovely area with lots around to go visit and enjoy. The staff are very lovely, everyone is smiling and welcoming this includes security, entertainment, bar staff and even housekeepers (well expect for one grumpy man on the front desk, but he is busy busy). The pool is massive and doesn’t feel cramped at all, like some other resorts. The bar has a wide range of all inclusive options and the staff are very generous when pouring drinks. The hotel feels and smells very clean in all communal areas and you will constantly see housekeeping staff working to keep this standard through the day. The room has a massive bed and multiple pillows per person, a large shower and enough space for 3 people. However there are some major negatives with the room which I will get into next. Negatives: The room on day 1 appeared to be very clean however the housekeeping staff do not change any of your sheets. They just make the bed and change the bin from all appearances. We have had our room “cleaned” every day, however have the same bedsheets all week. The shower in both of our rooms floods and has a horrible sewage smell that doesn’t leave the room all day and night. We contacted reception 3 times about this and all they can offer is some air spray. If you have sensitive smell / pregnancy would definitely take this into consideration. Overall the hotel appears bigger than it actually is. Photos on line are kind of deceptive, the whole hotel basically boils down to a restaurant, a pool and a bar / entertainment area. Majority of the space is take. Up by hotel rooms. The entertainment was overall very lackluster, bingo was slow and confusing, karaoke night was as expected and then a couple other confusing nights that contained a lot of shouting in French. Didn’t effect us but is located just across the road from a social club with the usual lovely attendees going in and out all night. The food: The food has too many ups and downs so putting this in its own section. The restaurant is large and easily caters and handles the amount of people going through. The food options are very hit and miss, some nights we loved the food and couldn’t fault it; other nights it was so bad that we decided to go venture out into town. Generally the food is all cooked exceptionally well. However, every night we just felt there could just be a bit more variety daily to help cater for fussier eaters and in our case a pregnant traveller that couldn’t eat certain food types. Overall we have enjoyed our stay, but will not be returning any time soon.

Lovely hotel, food was very nice, lots of choice. Staff all very friendly & helpful. Rooms were big, beds were comfy. Pool area always kept clean, I imagine it gets very busy in the summer though. Very close to the beach & restaurants, perfect positioning.

Just returned from a week at Hotel Palia, okay place but definitely not 4-star! Considering much better options in Torremolinos, we won’t return to this one. Pros: Friendly, helpful staff Comfortable bed Close to beach access Short walk to town centre Flavourful food and good selection although quite repetitive, lots of meats Decent beer on tap (San Miguel) Cons: Guests were quite rude and inconsiderate Guests reserve pool loungers for hours although not allowed Seems mainly for the 60+ age group Difficult to get a lounger (even in off-season) Only one pool, & deep end was 2/3 of it Pool area lacked lushness and serenity, too close to surrounding buildings (including a school) No hand cream, shampoo, or tissues provided in room Must pay for wifi and in-room safe Mediocre ‘entertainment’ Low-grade liquors and wines, barely any effect Lunch and dinner foods nearly identical, minor changes from day to day No outside dining Hotel needing updates and repairs: lobby sofas dingy, corridor carpets smelly, room smelled of mould/mildew with AC off, chipped furniture, duct tape holding urinal plumbing together

We had a fantastic stay here, the hotel room was tidy and cleaned well daily, the only downside was the air con wasnt great. The staff were all friendly from the cleaners to the bar staff and the entertainment guys. The food was great always lots of options and the meat and fish from the show cooking was lovely, we even had a couple of theme nights, mexican and chinese. We wasnt fussed on the evening entertainment, so went for a short walk into the town where there was lots of great bars, restaurants and shops. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
