Hotels near Takehisa Yumeji Museum in Tokyo

I booked a single room and it was very clean and convenient having the subway station nearby. The staff were helpful and polite, breakfast was fair continental fare and the hotel was close to the Tokyo Dome where I had enjoyed shopping at the mall. It was close to Ueno and easy for me to get about Tokyo. My stay at this hotel made up for the earlier eventful days in Japan following non-operating train lines from Typhoon Hagibis which changed some of my travel plans. Overall, reasonable hotel. I went to check in at 3pm but the actual check in time was 10pm, which was a bit strange. Bed is very comfortable. Clean environnement with good service. The rooms isn’t too small. But the bathroom just has a shower. The walls are very thin and it’s easy to hear those around you. The staff was friendly and allowed me to store my bags which I waited. Extra towels are provided and all cleaning necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc)

We stayed in this hotel in October 2019 for our wedding trip. All in all, the rooms are quite spacious: there are two quite large beds (but you want to sleep comfortable in two in one bed) while the bathroom offers everything necessary between bathroom shampoo, shampoo, snack, hairdryer etc. In the room there is also a tea boiler and several infusions. In the hotel hall there is also a (American) coffee machine available to customers and, in the lower floors, a washing machine and an onsen (always free for customers). Breakfast is both Japanese and Western style, so everyone is satisfied. The staff is really very friendly and cleaning in all environments is inconvenient. The location is a very quiet point, but I think it is the position: a few minutes walk from the metro and, even though it is almost near the Tokyo Dome, the area is very quiet. I mean, I have been very prompted.

We stayed 5 nights in Standard Double room (Main building) on third floor. The hotel is very convenient, 3 mins walk to Ueno station, plenty of restaurant, cafes, shopping, convenient stores. Our room double bed on the side, with dressing table and 3 seated sofa, which give us plenty of room to sit and open the luggage. Bathroom with nice bathtub. We don't have heated toilet as it was not working, we try to call the front desk, leave a note on the bathroom door to the housekeeping, didn't get fixed during our 5 nights. Check in and front desk is located on 2nd floor, the public onsen, vending machines and smoking area is also on the same floor, not much privacy if you're wearing hotel robe and slipper for onsen or if you just want to have a smoke. If you are a light sleeper, please request the room on higher floor, it's very noisy on the street even after midnight and early morning because of the restaurants and bars, also we can hear the 2nd floor public onsen and water noise from our room in the middle of the night during our stay. Our booking included breakfast and due to covid 19, they don't served buffet, mainly served with japanese style and we can choose from rice or bread, they didn't change the menu and we have the same food every day, breakfast time is from 7am to 9am, my advise is there are plenty of cafes, not worth to pay top price for breakfast. Also the hotel have main building and annex building, and they are completely different place where annex building is around the corner on the side street. Centurion had several hotel in Ueno, make sure you have the correct address details. There is only one small lift (2 ppl with 2 luggage will fill the lift) for the whole hotel, we stayed during non peak season and quite often we were waiting some time for the lift, there was a note in the reception to encourage guests to use the stairs instead.

Hotel located in front of JR Suidōbashi Station and about 5min from the metro station, and also less than 5 min from the Tokyo dome. You have to register yourself and choose between facial recognition or cards to have access to the room and the elevators (the receptionist helped us with this step), the same thing to leave the hotel. Our room was not very spacious, the bedding was quite comfortable, the shower and wc spotless. We had self-service cotton swabs, razors, brushes and toothbrushes. Cleaning was done every 2 days. The breakfasts are very good, too bad the choice is limited there are only 5 possible choices. Good hotel.

For various reasons we had to extend our stay by another night and were pleased to do so. It allowed us to experience K’shiki restaurant as well as Tapas Molecular Bar which we were already booked into. Osamu Okazaki ensured that our check in went extremely smoothly and offered services which made us feel very welcomed. He really did relieve the stress that had been caused by the day’s events. The room was magnificent and allowed us to totally unwind. The hotel is close enough to places of interest to fill your time if needs be. The restaurants were exceptional. K’shiki with it’s vague nod towards italian cuisine was exceptional. We chose Chef’s Dinner Menu and each course was interesting and surprising. Service was exceptional. Tapas Molecular Bar is one of those restaurants which is really special in the world. It’s hard to write a review without ruining the surprises. Suffice to say with only seating for eight you really do need to consider your reservation well in advance. Chef Kento Ushikubo is as talented as it gets. His food is intense in taste, creative and in many cases just baffling. He could almost be a member of the Magic Circle with the illusions he creates. One of the most thoughtful and considerate people I have met, and meet him you do because he is with you preparing everything throughout the meal, you just wanted to applaud with a standing ovation at the end. He made it particularly special for our wedding anniversaries and I can’t say how because it would spoil another illusion. I was just staggered that with all our experience of eating throughout the world we were introduced to new experiences. Spoiler alert; I cannot believe his ‘powdered ice cream’ has not been ‘borrowed’ by other chefs. Sadly, unless we manage to return, some of those experiences will be a once in a lifetime event. Value business hotel that has just been made this year. It is an economic hotel that is a little lost to the old established in the location, but the design that has been met in the present age is shining. I feel like a concept similar to a new hotel in Taiwan and China's big cities. [Location] About 3 minutes walk from Iriyaguchi, Ueno Station. Seven eleven and family are on the way. It is less than 々 away from the downtown area in front of the station. [Room] Overall small, but the facilities are now full. There are outlets and fine light adjustments on the pillow, and there are ranges and refrigerators, so it is also convenient to do a little work. There is also a laundry room and it seems to be good for mid-term stays. [Service] It is a service with light 々. There is also an automatic check-in machine, which is considered to be an efficiency importance. It is rare for a Japanese hotel to get bottled water.

High praise for the hotel front desk staff. They are very enthusiastic and speak fluent English, so they can communicate smoothly. The disadvantage is that the hotel is too old and has not been renovated. The walls and floors are dirty, and the bathroom has an obvious smell. I bought a bottle of disinfectant to deal with it, and I can barely stay. Originally booked for three days, I started to have unexplained redness and itching on my legs on the first night. Since I am not allergic, I thought it was caused by the damp sheets. The above reasons lead to check out one day early. Very helpless. Finally, be sure of the response speed of Ctrip’s customer service staff and call to confirm after processing. The suggestion is to choose other hotels of the same price range, such as the nearby Nippori Art🏨.

The greatest point is the location. It is in the half way (3 to 5min) away from both Liadabashi station and Suidobashi Station. As you know you may need to travel by different rail company routing in Japan, this hotel location caters that. Meanwhile, we follow the say that “follow the local white collars to find the best food”. A lot of 居酒屋 here under the hotel. Amenities is sufficient like gym and washing machine, just be careful to the drying of clothes is not ideal as we perhaps…

The room was small but the view was amazing. Nearest train station would be a private one so the jr pass will not work,have to buy ticket or use suica. If you want to use the jr pass, will have to walk very far. Can explore asakusa area and other main areas in Tokyo from the hotel. The only downside was the time taken for check in. The hotel was fully booked and check in only started at 3pm, due to the crowd we only managed to check in at 4/5 pm. Otherwise it was a great hotel to stay at.
