This unique oasis is in an ideal part of Georgetown allowing for easy access to the amazing architecture close to the free city bus. The Blue Mansion provided respite from the heat of the day and we enjoyed refreshments in the gorgeous courtyard. History oozes from every part of the heritage building and the daily tour brings that history to life. We stayed 3 nights and our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented. We'll be back!

The stay here really was a good surprise for my last trip. Choose the hotel because it is near to my dinner appointment, the room is very big and clean . Staffs are super friendly and most importantly, it is located in the Center of everything in Georgetown. Highly recommended!

A delightful hotel. The Concept, location cleanliness and service team are all super friendly and efficient. Value for money. Brand new hotel. The whole ambience is very hip ,colourful, relaxing n casual. Very young management team and everyone there makes u feel like a friend. Rooms are compact n cosy. Super clean indeed. The bed was sooo comfortable. Bathroom had a wonderful n powerful rain shower. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. It has a positive exuberance, its vibrant, colourful and a unique concept of positive interactions. A good alacarte breakfast. This brand will definitely make its mark very quickly. Kudos to management for bringing this concept from idea to execution in such an art deco way. M truly impressed. Truly enjoyed my stay n will come back. It has the ‘buzzz’ n champions there

I paid 150 RMB for high tea today and although the product was creative and a bit fun I left hungry. My main issue however was the service. It appears there was no manager on duty because the staff were messing about on their mobile phones and I had to always ask them for things because they were focussed on chatting and their phones. It wasn’t 5 star at all and having managed hotels the service was actually appalling. I found a bit of plastic in one of the dishes and the staff member just took it from me and threw it in the bin. No acknowledgement. Then I was waiting in the lobby for my cab and I can hear front desk staff laughing and messing about. They were only interested in messing about. I feel cheated by todays experience and I hope they get manager back on duty soon because today it was not being managed at all

Stayed here recently for 4 nights at the start of a month long trip to Malaysia and would stay here again. The property looked fresh and clean with corridor and rooms tidy as well. The room we had was quite big with a separate bathroom as we had been upgraded to a suite. The property is fend for yourself on most items with a central fridge and drinking water cooler. It was difficult to contact staff when required at times. The pool was cooling, but not sparkling clean. It is well positioned, close to Jalan Mcalister, but in a quiet area. It represents great value and with a few slight ******s sorted would be a 5 star experience.

We were really contented with our room in Hotel Penaga, which is a suite located on level 2 in the other wing. Not so suitable for those with big luggage as you have to climb up the stairs. The room next to us is like a loft and has two levels. The decoration of the room feels very antique and Peranakan, we liked the funky poster and the wood ornaments, even the cupboard had some nice painting. The bathroom also had a bathtub but the hot water took a long time to fill up. Breakfast buffet was nothing much to rave about, you are better off trying out some cafe or local hawker food, as Penang is a food haven! In terms of location, Penaga is situated in the old town and quite easy to walk around, included to the famous cendul place, Komtar building Penang and mural areas (around 15 min walk). The area is quiet at night, but the bars and nightlife area is within walking distance. Overall we stayed for 3 nights here and enjoyed the whole experience.
