Northeast Penang Island Hotels with Breakfast

We did not stay here, and we only dropped by for lunch. The nice guy at the reception brought us to the restaurant which was an outdoor area, overlooking a nice lawn and with spectacular views. There were only 2 other guests there - one was reading and another was painting. We ordered pumpkin soup, fish and chips, club sandwich, ice lemon tea and water. Everything was really delicious - must be the great view!

The whole feeling is like a Taiwanese, but he is a native of Malayan. He is very polite and enthusiastic. There is a free map at the door. He introduces him. George Dock is very detailed and intimate and will help you mark it. The room is big, there is a small entrance, a big room, and a small garden with a patio. It is not wet. The air in the room is quite fresh. The bed is very large and clean. The disadvantage is that it is under the stairs. This budget hotel is located in front of Komtar where are the buses stop. For transportation it is not a problem. The airport bus also stop at Komtar,and if you are going to jetty,then the bus stop stop just 3 minutes walk in front of the temple. The hotel door is always lock, so you need to push the bell if you are the first timer. You need to climb up the stairs as the lobby is located at second floor, be reminded there is no doormen to help you carry heavy luggage. Be careful while you are climbing the stairs as some steps are broken. The lobby has plenty of sitting with nice decoration for those who like Instagram pictures. At lobby area also have a small open air space,maybe for smoking. The room I booked is a twin room and facing the backyard,so it is very quiet. Front room will be very noisy as the traffic is endless around Komtar. The room is OK in size and cleanliness,but a bit dark. Inside the room there is a small working desk but you won't be able to use it as the kettle is also sharing the desk. My bad experience is the safety box, it is out of order and not able to use it permanently as the batteries leakage have rooted the whole panel. The bathroom is bright and looks very clean,the water is good with hot and cold water. This hotel is near restaurants, as Penang is so famous with food. If you like walking,then everywhere is within walking distance such as the night food street, the Weld, the old city etc. Considering the best location and best room rate,I will certainly return to stay.

Overall good experience, booked a King bedroom and it has all the basics (hairdryer, electric kettle, even a fridge!). Though the room was small but everything essential was provided. The area is close to a lot of restaurants as well.

A Chinese-owned bed and breakfast is very close to the surname bridge. There are also many Chinese-opened tea rooms for breakfast. The room is small, the toilet is cool, and no one can speak Chinese when the boss is absent. The grand birthday of the Tiangong, I do not know whether it is fireworks or someone hit the window. Anyway, when the shower was in the window, the window was so loud that the mother was scared. I thought someone was out of the window. I quickly called to come over and check, and I didn’t find out the reason. The staff was also very good. It’s said that we didn’t change rooms, and we didn’t bother to change the last day.

Arriving in the hotel and checking in was simple, friendly and fuss free. They were kind to my requests and assigned me a high floor sea view room, thank you. JASMEEN at the front office is very helpful, friendly and kind. My room is beautiful and the size is just nice, i only wish the bathroom has a view instead of sealed up in frosted glass. The spa and swimming pool is on the 11 floor, the pool is very refreshing to swim in the afternoon, but it would have been nicer to face the sea than the city. Breakfast is very delicious, the host Mr.BALU is always there, smiling and guiding you to your table. BOHARAJ also serves everyone with a smile. I enjoy my stay here very much for 5 days and 4 nights. I will stay here again when i come back to Penang. The location is very good as it is just a short walk away to all the great street food !

The stay here really was a good surprise for my last trip. Choose the hotel because it is near to my dinner appointment, the room is very big and clean . Staffs are super friendly and most importantly, it is located in the Center of everything in Georgetown. Highly recommended!
