i stayed there for 3 nights in June 2024, its location is perfect, metro exit just next to the hotel, in front is the famous Amir Temur Square, also it is the drop-on & drop-off tourist bus terminus, a tasty fast food shop next to the hotel. The hotel obviously a dated hotel in USSR style, but i like it, old style, dated grand decoration..., breakfast was very nice, pianist was there, i enjoyed my breakfasts everyday with music, so cool~

The hotel is very conveniently located. The metro and bus stop are all nearby. The buffet has a fairly large selection. True, the coffee is only instant. Natural coffee is for an additional fee. The air conditioning in the room copes well with the heat

The carpet was very dusty, the breakfast was OK, the room furnishings were weird, the things were a bit old, the door was hard to close, I changed hotels after staying for a few days.
The service was OK, and the location was good.

I chose Hyatt for a trip with my parents. The service was OK. When we checked in, we hoped that both rooms were twin rooms. Although we were given a king-size room at the beginning, we were able to ask the waiter to separate the beds immediately after communication. The efficiency was relatively fast, but the water in the shower room would leak out when taking a bath. I hope the hotel can improve it.
There are many varieties of breakfast, which is more suitable for Chinese elderly people.

Let me talk about the hotel booking first. The booking was for 8/19, and it cannot be changed on 8/10. Whether you stay or not, you have to pay the room fee. Normally, there is no problem, but if there is force majeure, such as flight cancellation due to weather, the loss is all the guests, and the hotel has no loss. I provided proof of the airline's weather reasons, but the negotiation was fruitless, and I lost one day's room fee. The funniest thing is that I booked 4 nights, and I have to stay for the remaining 3 nights, and I can't refund it. If I don't stay, I will be deducted directly. Is this an overlord clause? I don't know how Ctrip negotiated the agreement with the hotel and the agent. Are foreign hotels so strong? I hope that domestic customers will not be taken advantage of. Ctrip still needs to improve in this regard. Of course, Ctrip's customer service attitude is still good, actively communicated, and finally gave 100 yuan in compensation.
Let's talk about the hotel itself. The hotel is in the downtown area, relatively close to the square and shopping center, and you can walk there. But the room is a bit small. The deluxe room is 33 square meters, but there is only one room, one bathroom and one cupboard. I estimate it to be about 28 square meters (room and bathroom 5x5 + 3 square cupboard and bathtub). The facilities are relatively simple. The basin is relatively small overall. The bathtub is a bit narrow and not wide enough. People who are a little fat can't move around. The sound insulation is poor. The sound of various cars on the road at night can be heard clearly. The breakfast is very Western style, which Chinese people may not be used to. There are many varieties of cheese, various sweet local cakes and fruits, which I feel I can't eat. Compared with the room rate of nearly 1,000 yuan a day, I feel that the cost performance is indeed not high. I have to question whether I will stay here next time❓

Overall, everything is great: location, cleanliness and, most importantly, very hard-working staff. There is perhaps only one downside - it is a converted Soviet hotel, with small, uncomfortable elevators, standard Soviet layout, etc.

The hotel room is quite big and the sheets are washed. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a little smaller. Breakfast is quite rich. 15 to 20 minutes walk from the subway station. The service staff was good. When I left, I helped to call a local taxi to the train station. The price was cheap. Because there is no good communication, the taxi driver refused to collect our car money, saying that he did not collect cash, and we did not have to pay the money in the owner's card. We can't get off the bus. When we arrive at Buhari, we will call the boss to see how to pay him back. The boss said that we don't have to worry. He will pay the driver on his mobile phone and say that there is not much money. Since we can't come back to pay, we won't charge us. Wow, it's so good people. I will come back next time I have a chance.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was happy to hear the familiar Mandarin in a new destination from the friendly manager/owner. After seeing my booking's printout, the manager mentioned that I had booked a wrong room, to be exact, a single room. I told him that my printout clearly stated a double room for two persons and with breakfast for two. His local worker went through the printout and confidently said I had booked a single room. Finally, it was my turn to explain to them in both Mandarin and English. I told them the amount of payment may look small(over RM170), which is almost equivalent to RMB280. Now, the manager must have woken up from his sleep that my friend and I were not mainland Chinese but Malaysians. Immediately, he said my booking was now correct. Soon after, he asked for another 110,000 Som/about RMB63 for local taxes, which I duly paid. The App, Trip.com, had never mentioned this amount when I did the booking. Perhaps Trip.com had overlooked this matter. This post is not to insinuate something negative about the hotel reception on the day of my check-in but to point out that don't judge a book by its cover, namely a smaller amount of a currency may be very deceptive if the reader jumps into conclusion that a Mandarin speaking guest is always from China.

Outstanding
OOtautahianI had such a lovely stay here. All the hotel staff were quick to help and show a smile.
The breakfast buffet was big and the selection changed daily. The swimming pool and courtyard were lovely, and the sixth-floor terrace (and my room) had cear views to the TV Tower. There is also a bar, gym, and sauna, but I didn't use those.
The location is convenient – the nearest metro station, Bodomzor, is a five minute walk away, as are several convenience shops, local fast food places, a western style restaurant and a cafe (all to the north along the main road). It is just far enough off the main road for it to be quiet at night.
GGuest UserComplete facilities, clean and tidy, good sound insulation, not noisy on the roadside, there is a hamburger restaurant and a large supermarket next to it, it is very convenient for eating and shopping, the key is that the price is right in Tashkent, the cost performance is very high
KKWonderful location and great quality service. Large room in contemporary style furniture. Warm and comfortable beddings. Great 24hr access to a Hot water and central heating is kudos to this hotel during this winter season.
Hotel Personal is helpful and open for assistance at any time upon guest request.
Cons: Circulating security guard in the main lobby with swinging car keys in his hands is unfortunate site seeing.
Wishing bar could stay open past midnight. During my stay the hotel pool and spa center was not operating and closed.
Overall best value hotel from 20 in the city
GGuest UserThe location is really good .Next to a big local market where there are fruits, vegetables, dairy products, cooked food, grocery, and supermarket.
A few Uzbek restaurants near hotel
Room was clean and quite new. Hotel is relatively new, about 1 year old.
Safe deposit box not working and was fixed promptly
After 1 night stay, house keeping dud not clean the room. Requested room change and was given after over 1 hour of discussion.
Breakfast buffet was excellent- many variety of ftasry food in a nice restaurant at ground floor. Cereals, bread, yoghurt, kefir, egg's, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, salad, hot food, soup..highlight of my stay
There is a gym in the basement with free weights, and cross over pulls rack.
Overall nice experience.
MMelantha_The room is very clean, and the front desk is really, really, really welcoming! They are always responsive to requests. The hotel is currently under renovation and expansion. The boss said that the renovation is expected to be completed by the end of next year. Then there will be saunas, swimming pools, fountains, massage spas, etc., and the entire hotel will be upgraded to a higher level. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but a few things will change every day. It is very close to the airport, and the airport pick-up service is free if you make an appointment in advance. Taxis are very cheap, so it is quite convenient no matter where you stay. There is a small convenience store next door, and there are restaurants and large supermarkets within 1km nearby. There are many Chinese companies and employees opposite the hotel. The flaws do not outweigh the merits, the quality is good and the price is low, very good!
MMariia154There were 10 of us flying in. We were met as agreed. We were checked in quickly. The room was clean. In the morning we were taken to the train station. Everything was great!
SSantoshWe family of three stayed twice here, first one night before going to Samarkand and then returning back at Tashkent for three days. The hotel location is excellent as , restaurants, cafes, stores at walk-able distance. Also the peaceful area.
The hotel provided us spacious room with three separate beds , apt for family. As we were checking out early at six am for flight, hotel counter staff provided us lunch boxes, which was good gestures.
We could easily catch yandex taxi as well walk around city.
Overall satisfying stay, value for money.
Need more spread in breakfast.
YYusuf UsmanovI was an attendee at the Global Youth Festival, and unfortunately I double-booked this hotel so I could not stay at this place. Thus I called the staff here to explain and they were very understanding, and left me on a very good mark. Should I stay in Tashkent in the future I plan to book here.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the service was good. Accommodation in Tashkent is too expensive. Hotels in the suburbs are so expensive. Of course, the ones in the city are even more expensive. Breakfast was terrible, highly not recommended. Very bad! ! !
GGuest UserBecause the special circumstances, this review is only about the the services. Because I mistakenly booked our flight one day earlier than our hotel booked (at another hotel), we found ourselves without a hotel room in the middle of the night. I tried all booking platforms and failed to find one allowing me to book that night because it had passed the mid night and were only showing the “new date”. Finally I accidentally bumped into Star Hotel and allowed me to still book that night.
The owner of Star Hotel was shocked when we showed up around 1am, because he had closed booking for that night. But still he welcomed us and frankly explained that the rooms were all booked and would let us choose a room reserved for their employees. They saved us from a night in the streets and the owner and his staff were very kind, friendly and helpful! We are forever grateful !
