Great hotel! Great location and convenient travel. There are small fruits, upgraded room types, and late check-out until two o'clock. The room was beautifully decorated and the bedding was soft. The staff is very good, always with a smile service, all kinds of services are very thoughtful. Stayed here very comfortable.

The Parkview hotel is a five star hotel with modest price. The location js perfect and convenient. The hotel rooms are extremely well maintained. My room had a direct view of Yingze park and the night scene was spectacular. The hotel’s breakfast buffet features an amazing collection of local delicacies and it was hard not to overeat. The Chinese restaurants serve outstanding dishes. The front desk staff are polite and helpful. Ms Wang Zewei was especially helpful. I would absolutely return time.

Good location if one likes to be close to a night market. Another good point is the washing machine in the room. The WiFi in the hotel is not working well, very unstable and disappears every 10 minutes, not quite handy when one is doing some work for the next day. When asking the staff whether something can be done in order to improve the WiFi, two ladies appeared who will tell you that you are very handsome and will explain how the television can be switched on. Unfortunately this did not have an effect on the stability of the WiFi 🙃

Shanxi Hotel must be given a five-star rating. We arrived very late at night, and the hotel was already lit. The courtyard was ancient and the hotel lobby was magnificent. The service staff checked in very efficiently and quickly, and the service attitude was very excellent. The breakfast and Chinese buffet was very high-end, and the food and drink met the tastes of all parts of the north and south. It is very close to various attractions. We strolled to the bell tower. On one side of the hotel, you can enter Wenying Park, where you can see the scene of Shanxi people exercising and relaxing. The hotel helped to take the luggage to the car after checking out, and the service was thoughtful. The important point is that we lived on the second floor and it was very quiet, without any noisy sounds, and the sound insulation was very good. The shower was a little smaller, but you can call the front desk. It was too cold. It rained on the day we came, and we didn’t pay much attention to bathing, so we just took a shower. Satisfied, and will tell friends who come to Taiyuan to choose Shanxi Hotel first.

Except for the location, I personally think that the hotel is not worth it. If you travel by bus or subway, the location is also very average.
Facilities: In fact, the basic hardware of hotels with 200 per night is similar. I booked this hotel mainly because I was greedy for cheapness, the location is convenient for travel, and my companions need to exercise.
The hotel is on the 17th to 26th floors of the Wuchan Building. There are two elevators, and the waiting time is long. The elevators are old and the doors are shaking when they open and close. It feels very unsafe.
The door lock of the room is broken. I found it when I locked the door when I went to bed on the first day. (If I reply later, I can ask the front desk to change rooms. I have to move things in my pajamas in the middle of the night. I think changing rooms is troublesome)
The smart toilet in the bathroom of the room is very stupid.
The floor heating is very hot, and I can't sleep at all. I called the lobby and asked us to turn on the air conditioner. The air conditioner can only be adjusted to 25°, and then asked us to sleep with the window open. It's still hot, and the window is open. Motorcycles are blasting the streets in the middle of the night. From 5 am, there are bus announcements and various motor vehicle engine sounds.
Hygiene: The housekeeping department's sanitation is really hard to describe. I used to boil a whole kettle of water and then pour it out. The second time I boiled water to make some tea, I looked down and saw a layer of things floating on the water in the kettle.
The bathroom has a movable shower head facing the wall, but as soon as the water was turned on, I was doused with cold water by the overhead shower. Doesn't the housekeeping department check the details of the training?
Service: I stayed for two nights and heard 5 conversations with employees who took the initiative to use polite language. One was when checking in, two were when two older aunts in the breakfast restaurant asked me if I could clean up the plates opposite, one was when the housekeeping staff came to change the dirty kettle in front and knocked on the door, and another time was when the housekeeping staff came to deliver nail clippers and knocked on the door.
Breakfast and restaurant: This can be discussed separately, and the price is 88 per person. Most of them are Western cold dishes. There were two people at the breakfast front desk who swiped the card. One of them questioned the room number I reported, maybe he didn't hear it clearly (I asked clearly when I checked in whether I should swipe the room card or report the room number for breakfast, and I only gave one room card at the beginning), and then said it was OK. The other frowned and said two words, ”It didn't swipe” and ”OK”. I didn't hear any polite words. My bad mood started from breakfast, haha. There was also a tomato and egg stew. I went to eat it at around 8 o'clock on the first day. There was a full pot, and there was only a little left at around 8 o'clock on the second day. It seems that the guests on the second day liked this stew. I think foreign-funded hotels are only suitable for entertaining foreign guests. There are so many sauces on the salad and bread that I can't tell what they are.
My companion thought the coffee was so bad that he could only make latte.

Fantastic location -- 3min walk to the train station. When checking in, there was a very lovely small gift, and my ID card was very well taken with even a protection shield. The staff there guided me all the way to my room, and regularly checked whether everything is okay.

Going to the hotel, the handsome guy (Xiao Guo butler) from the concierge department came to help pull the suitcase, took us to check in, and also helped to take the luggage to the room, and enthusiastically answered our N many questions halfway. Li Yan, the beauty of the concierge department, was warm and hospitable, and took the initiative to help with the registration of the station, warm reminder.
The hotel is located in the downtown area and it is very convenient to go anywhere. Booked a business twin room, the room is large, multiple partitions, the bedding is clean and comfortable, there are Huanhuan fruits, Starbucks coffee, bed opening service. GGuest UserEvery time I come to Taiyuan for a business trip, I choose this hotel. It is quiet at night and there is no noise. The bedding is also very good, and the quality of sleep is very good. The bathroom is very clean, and the toilet has a disposable toilet cover, which can be replaced with one click. I especially like it. I like the room with a bathtub most, and it will be equipped with a disposable bathtub cover, which perfectly solves the hygiene problem.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with my stay. When I arrived at the store, the front desk staff gave me a very warm welcome and felt very friendly.
After arriving in the room, the hygiene was very good and the room equipment was all intelligent voice controlled.

TTheTravelShowThe hotel itself is located out in the far Northeast of the city, in a quiet location, but easily accessible by the fast roads. It is opposite a shopping mall with everything you need such as coffee shop, fast food etc. Conveniece store also just across the street. Check-in was easy and straight-forward and the hotel is clean and modern. The room was well-appointed with everything I needed and the best thing was the amazing bed, which was super-comfortable!
Breakfast is excellent and has both Western and Chinese buffet options. Plenty of choice here!
Service was fantastic for this stay. The second day we had a power blackout for an hour or so because of engineers across the street. The staff dealt with it very well and made sure I was looked after. Swimming pool is good too. Recommend.

My room had a large window, so I thought it would be cold, but it wasn't cold because of the warm heating in the hotel
Also, I really liked the blackout curtain, which covers the light well in the morning👍🏻
The hotel front desk staff had a good attitude! They also had excellent basic service, such as lifting up your luggage!
If there is only one thing that is regrettable, no one can speak English. The difficulty of communicating was too much. It would be better if even the front desk staff could speak English😊
Everything else was good! I want to visit again next time🩷

The airport is about 20 minutes by car and also around 20 minutes to Taiyuan South railway station. Parking is also available at this property. Around the hotel are many restaurants and shops along with the giant MixC shopping mall.
The hotel boasts a range of high-quality amenities including a SPA, gym and excellent swimming pool. The downstairs restaurant is also excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which has many options available. The rooms are well-appointed with modern furniture and comfortable beds. The rooms are large and offer plenty of space too.
Staff are very helpful and attentive and also speak good English. Highly recommended and my favorite hotel In Taiyuan!

GGuest UserThe location is very good, there are many places to eat around, and there are two famous snack shops not far away, the roast chicken and the yellow rice stuffed steamed bun shop, which are delicious. It’s only two stops away from Taiyuan’s central pedestrian street, which is not too far. The soundproofing is a bit poor. The room next door was very noisy. I called the front desk and it was resolved quickly. Thumbs up, overall recommended!

GGuest UserHome Inn Gulou is the wisest choice for this trip to Taiyuan. The beautiful and handsome guys at the front desk were very enthusiastic and took the initiative to tell me about the delicious food nearby. Special thanks to the handsome guy at the front desk, He Zixuan, the traffic policeman who came to check the car and immediately called me to move the car (even more anxious than me). There is also a beautiful waiter and manager who recommended a cheap parking lot nearby. She is very considerate. It is so rare to have service staff who are so considerate of customers. I will come to your home next time I come to Taiyuan.

BBarbaraD.The location to the hotel is really something, but luckily the hotel staff came to pick us up from where the taxi stopped. The room was okay but in terms of cleanliness, there's still a lot to be done especially in the bathroom. If I were staying for longer it would be a problem using the wc but since it was just a night to catch a flight I'm not too mad. The bathroom was spacious enough and the room as well even though there were two beds, which was good. The overall stay was okay, we had to go back into town and the lovely Mr Lee was very helpful, he drove us back to the roadside to get a taxi and when we got back luckily we met him after the map took us to a wrong route and drove us back to the hotel. The airport was about 6 minutes from the hotel and even though we both had different departure times, one early in the morning and myself late afternoon, we were both taken to the airport as well. I think if the road to the hotel is fixed and they can do some real scrubbing and cleaning it would be a really good place.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very clean. Although it is on the first floor, it is not noisy at all. When you enter the room, it looks very straight. The room is white but not dirty at all. My sister is very nice. There are instant noodles in the room. I don’t like eating them. You can get dumplings here. It’s not too close to the South Station and can be reached in 10 minutes. It’s also on a major road. You don’t have to turn around and walk straight out of the community to get there.
