GGuest UserCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

We were traveling by car and were used to parking our cars in the ba*****t. We were surprised. The ba*****t was so clean that the ground looked like a mirror, and the elevator led directly to the lobby~
Entering the lobby, you are immediately greeted by a receptionist. The decoration in the lobby is very grand, and check-in is quick. What is very special is that the hotel has Starbucks coffee service, and I gave you a coffee coupon. The girl who makes the coffee is very cute, and her attitude is like a family member. Makes you feel warm~
The room is large enough and has a practical design, especially the double sinks and the toilet and bath settings, which can be used by the whole family at the same time~

I stayed here several times every year during the three years of the epidemic, and I have a certain feeling for this place and hope that the hotel will also improve, but it is obvious that the hotel does not care much about ”small customers” like us. Not to mention the intimate greetings, the hotel doesn't even know who I am. I don't care about repeat customers who stay repeatedly. Lack of humane management. When we checked in, we arrived at the hotel and there were no rooms available, the male receptionist who wanted to give the front desk a vacancy called when a room was available and we went out to eat. But before I came back, I didn't get a reply to the phone. There were vacancies, but I didn't get a warm and friendly reception immediately. Instead, I waited for a while before checking in after waiting for the staff member and the cleaning aunt to hand over the work. Another 900 yuan was required to swipe the card for processing. I asked what happened to the 502 yuan deducted from Ctrip. He was very impatient and told me to look at Ctrip by myself. It doesn't take much effort to answer patiently! When I checked in last time, I reflected that the hotel's gym classes were not allowed to be used by guests. Later, the hotel has improved, and a notice of separate management has been posted at the entrance of the gym. Since the staff in the fitness department must be properly restrained in the hotel, the female staff with Qi Liuhai went to the bathroom with the door open, sitting in a swaying posture, which is very inappropriate. There are lifeguards in the swimming pool and coaches in the gym. Although I didn't take classes, I am very polite and have a top hat. These are good.
The hotel's breakfast feels like a lot of work, but the details are not handled well. For example, the distance between the dining table and the sofa is too far. I am 1.65 meters tall and sitting is very uncomfortable, and guests who are lower than me will feel even more uncomfortable. The hotel's cake table is particularly dishonest. Many things are directly placed on the top with cooked food picked from outside, which makes people feel very unappetizing. The butter is not like the original Anjia butter that has been changed to bulk butter. Added a new coffee machine, made coffee very fast. But the rest of the food wasn't as good as it used to be. There has been some improvement in the aspect of fruits, including pineapples, dragon fruit, and awns, but the presentation is still relatively rough.
The hotel's toothbrushes and room cards have been replaced with environmentally friendly log series, and robot food delivery has also been added. I will choose to stay in the future if I have the opportunity, but I hope that the hotel will strengthen its management and not treat repeat customers coldly.

The airport is about 20 minutes by car and also around 20 minutes to Taiyuan South railway station. Parking is also available at this property. Around the hotel are many restaurants and shops along with the giant MixC shopping mall.
The hotel boasts a range of high-quality amenities including a SPA, gym and excellent swimming pool. The downstairs restaurant is also excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which has many options available. The rooms are well-appointed with modern furniture and comfortable beds. The rooms are large and offer plenty of space too.
Staff are very helpful and attentive and also speak good English. Highly recommended and my favorite hotel In Taiyuan!

AAnyaThe hotel is conveniently located in a bustling commercial district close to the airport and high-speed rail station. The breakfast selection offered at the hotel was both varied and delicious. I appreciate the outstanding service provided by the young lady who assisted me with the check-in process; she is very kind, professional, and efficient. One minor suggestion is regarding the bathroom door. While the partially etched glass door is not necessarily a problem, a frosted glass door would provide more privacy for guests.
Overall, I had a great stay at the Ibis Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

GGuest UserThe location to the hotel is really something, but luckily the hotel staff came to pick us up from where the taxi stopped. The room was okay but in terms of cleanliness, there's still a lot to be done especially in the bathroom. If I were staying for longer it would be a problem using the wc but since it was just a night to catch a flight I'm not too mad. The bathroom was spacious enough and the room as well even though there were two beds, which was good. The overall stay was okay, we had to go back into town and the lovely Mr Lee was very helpful, he drove us back to the roadside to get a taxi and when we got back luckily we met him after the map took us to a wrong route and drove us back to the hotel. The airport was about 6 minutes from the hotel and even though we both had different departure times, one early in the morning and myself late afternoon, we were both taken to the airport as well. I think if the road to the hotel is fixed and they can do some real scrubbing and cleaning it would be a really good place.
