Rooms were clean and spacious however gave 3 stars for amenities because the bed was so stiff and hard. Not comfortable for 5 star hotel listing.

Breakfast was fantastic, the hotel has 2 rooms for breakfast. The room is clean and big. Value for money.

Great service. Gym has adequate equipment for machine and free weight training, only missing a pull up and dip station. Location is great, nearby many great restaurants and shops. Staff and Concierge are exceptional and helpful in every way possible. In room coffee is limited to instant powder Nescafé packs if you’re a coffee person. Beds perfect, firm but not stiff.

Foods and service is good in Rainbow Coffee Shop.

2nd stay in 6 months for my parents (seniors in their 70s). They like the hotel, which is why they wanted to stay there again for the 2nd time. However, was disappointed in 2 areas: 1. emailed to the hotel directly to request for a King sized bed, but request was not granted. 2. requested assistance from hotel concierge to book for the airport transfer. (included in the Trip.com booking) The airport transfer provider claimed that trip.com did not inform them, as such was unable to provide the service.

Huge room and nice amenities. Carpeted floor makes allow comfortable walk around in the room without the need for bathroom slippers. Location very good. Walked for a bit to Taipei 101 view

Howard plaza hotel is very convenient located in the Da An area. We love it so close to cafe and our massage/spa. We also get to shopping plaza easily. Good service and we like the fitness center for its equipment.

Since its inception in 1985, the hotel has not been very active in upgrading the hotel's hardware. In particular, ㅗ hotel facilities in toilets and rooms are concerned about safety issues. The corners are angled and the material is very hard. For this reason, we moved the room three times during the five days of stay. Of course, the hotel quickly changed the room, but there is a problem with the way it handled it. The problem must be observed with the hotel official, and the room was not exchanged until the problem was resolved. One day, the air conditioner did not work due to a problem with the electrical wiring, so the temperature in the room rose, and a problem I discovered around 5 a.m. was only after the technician came to check the problem, replaced the parts, and was prescribed a possibility of reoccurrence. The newly assigned room had a problem with the toilet, which was also asked to check until the next person resolved the problem. The housekeeper should not throw the toilet paper away in the toilet, but in the trash can placed in the bathroom. It is a request that does not fit the hotel rating and I cannot find the phrase to do so anywhere. I am satisfied with the size of the hotel room, the restaurant, and various facilities, but the too old hotel facilities and various problems that appear due to not being properly upgraded for a long time are factors that pull the evaluation of this hotel down.

An old classic 5 star hotel. Good location.Room is not big, but good for one travellor. It was a nice stay overall.

Only a 5 star hotel in Taipei, room was so old there weren't electric outlets by the bed. Room was also quite smoke damaged, clearly from a time when smoking was more regular. The service was 5 stars, and the location was excellent.

Even though the room is quite old, it is quite spacey and has all the essentials. Location of the hotel is also very good.

The lady chef cooking at the egg station was so unfriendly it left a bad taste.

I’ve stayed this place few times which had a great experience especially restaurants food was amazing and staffs are always friendly. I definitely come back.

Looks very average from outside but inside is a nice surprise. Large rooms. Helpful staff. Well appointed. Pity the restaurants were all expensive - even the Asian buffet was USD$60 per person which us a bit rich.
