the location is very convenient to get around places. there are 7-11 and family mart ，coffee shops nearby. Only 10mins walk to SOGO department store. The only disappointing thing is i had to keep the curtains closed at all times because my window was facing directly to the lifts.

The same excellent service and hospitality as the first time I was here in the late 80s when it was still the iconic Lai Lai Sheraton. Nice hotel with water fountains on every floor. I would give this a 4/5 though because the elevators are atrocious. You have to wait 10-20 minutes sometimes just to get back up or down. And not all elevators go to all floors which is very inefficient. They also had the pool closed and the gym was just treadmills and bikes. Where are the weights? lol All in all it was still a good experience and we had a nice time while visiting Taipei. There is a lot around the Ximending area where the hotel is located.

It’s a good place to stay and relax. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Walkable distance to Xiaonanmen mrt station. there is shuttle bus every 2 hours to XiMending or Longshan temple (both location have mrt). There is a shops and even carrefour near the hotel with a 5mins distance walk. The staff is very friendly and would also recommend places to visit. Do take note that there is a deposit of SGD$220 during check-in. Will definitely come back again!

We stayed here for a couple of nights. It's a typhoon day in Taiwan, all shops are closed, super windy that day. No choice but nowhere to go. Front desks are very accommodating, since last minute I did a room, and a lot of cancel room thats why I was able to get one, due to the said typhoon. Big room, huge beds, and a sort of mini dining table. Basically, it's so spacious. Corridors are big, and the design of the hallway overlooking the dining area is nice. But better with good signs of the room designation, if not, you might get lost. The hotel is very convenient with a convenient store beside it. MRT, Arena, shopping mall is just right the corner. Recommend for next stay. 我们在这里住了几晚。刚好入住时台风天，所有商店都关门了，那天风超大，别无选择，无处可去，住能留在饭店。前台小姐非常热情，因为我临时多订了一间房，而且有很多人取消了房间，所以我才能订到，因为台风，不然爆满刚好当天‘’大明星开演唱会‘’’ 房间很大，床也很大，还有一张迷你餐桌。基本上，房间很宽敞。走廊很大，设计也很好，但美中稍有不足，最好走廊能有好的房间指示牌，不然你可能会迷路。酒店非常方便，旁边有便利店。捷运、Arena、购物中心就在拐角处。总言，饭店不错，值得再来住。

a little rundown, but still acceptable and decently clean. although the toilet size was really small and uncomfortable compared to the room. amenities were fine although it didn't feel like a 5 star hotel as labelled. water also took a long time to heat up and it didn't reach a warm enough temperature sometimes. there's also only one water dispenser at the gym. however, the location is fantastic, connected to the metro and taipei station.

Enjoyed a warm welcome at Grand Hyatt Taipei on Friday 1st Nov after the super typhoon Kong Rey hit on 31st Oct. The room was ready for us when we arrived at 3pm. We did not get the Taipei 101 view - will get it next visit🤭. Hotel gave us late check out at 2pm….really wonderful! And please enjoy breakfast at the hotel…the variety is huge! Nearest mrt is at Taipei 101. Recommended… yes lots of rumours that it’s ******* etc but we did not feel or see anything weird.

Room is clean and spacious enough for 2 28-inch luggages to be left open with sufficient room to walk. Housecleaning is prompt and efficient! Counter stuff is always smiling and ready to help. Great location too! Yummy breakfast! Surely coming back!

It is an old hotel. Yet, after the recent refurbishment, the conditions have been upgraded significantly. The bath keeps its old-fashioned style, which makes the bathing experience resonate with the local history, In a positive way. The service is very good. The water is strong; the hot spring is milky white. Some may complain about the smell in the rooms; however it is normal from the odor of the real local hot spring. The sound proof is, admittedly, not that good but acceptable. The thing I would feel negative is their breakfast. But it is elder and vegetarian friendly. And, come on, see the price and others. There is no roomfor complaint.

In addition to Chinese breakfast, coffee, and juice, there is also a Moss burger for each person There is a gym and swimming pool available. This hotel ‘s location is close to the subway station but walking quite far to most of the frequented hot travel areas stations. This was misleading me in the first time. The hotel staffs were friendly but their check-in 3 pm & check out time 11 am r not satisfied but l hv to accept it. Hotel’s breakfast doesn’t hv many choices esp hot food. I hv dialed one local call but they still charged my bill. I was very shocked since most of the hotels didn’t charge local calls. Lastly, hotel’s towel was not clean at all. In summary, only hotel ‘s staff were very helpful & kind.
